From welfare benefit checks to supporting claims and challenging unfair decisions, we ensure people across our communities don’t miss out on what they need to live well.

We’re a team of paid staff working closely with dedicated volunteers to deliver advice over the phone and through home or community visits – wherever people need us most.

We’re looking for new Advisors to join us. This is a rewarding role where every day you’ll make a direct, positive impact on people’s lives.

We have two roles available:

• 1 x full-time (37 hours per week), working between home, office and field based in the Mansfield and Ashfield area
• 1 x part-time (24 - 30 hours per week), working between home, office and field based in the Mansfield and Newark area

What you’ll be doing:

• Helping people maximise their income through benefits checks and advice
• Supporting people to complete benefit applications and, where necessary, challenge decisions
• Giving relevant information and signposting on other areas which impact on welfare benefits, such as social care, housing options, and local services

What we’re looking for:

• Someone with experience in welfare benefits or advice services (training provided to build on what you know)
• Great attention to detail, organisation and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to meet the changing needs of the service

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced community fundraiser who will play an instrumental role in our established as well as new fundraising events, community engagement, stewardship, increasing awareness of the Centre as well as income generation.

What You'll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Engage, inspire and encourage supporters, schools, community groups and high street businesses fundraising on behalf of the charity, helping them to achieve their full potential by providing a positive supporter journey.
2. Inspire new supporters to raise money, while maintaining and developing relationships with existing supporters, securing sustainable growth of income and supporter numbers
3. Research and approach local businesses to gain support from them and their customers through fundraising e.g sponsorship of events, cause related marketing and social media platforms
4. Represent SECHC at fundraising meetings, presentations and events outside of normal office hours (evenings and weekends) as required (toil given)
5. Sourcing supporter case stories to support fundraising and impact reporting.
6. Proactively seek opportunities for fundraising events both at the Centre and within the local community.
7. Manage and maintain our KindLink giving platform
8. Provide admin support to the Senior Community & Corporate Fundraising Manager
9. Develop close and effective working relationships with colleagues across the organisation to ensure a culture of collaboration.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a new service which works with offenders as they are released from prison. It is a community based setting, rather than custodial where residents can go out in the community, depending on their Licence restrictions. Join our team as a Housing Lead to play a major part in supporting our residents with their long term housing needs. You will act as a bridge between various housing stakeholders and residents, to ensure a tailored move on plan is put in place which meets the needs of all. We thrive to ensure our residents have the right access to resources and tools to support them in reintegrating into the community, and re-establishing relationships to support with their rehabilitation. 

Responsibilities include:

• Act as the main point of contact between landlords, housing associations, local authorities, private landlords, wider Social Interest Group Services, and our residents
• Work with the wider team to support residents with their long term needs
• Provide specialist support to the wider team to ensure they are regularly trained and kept up to date with policies and procedures, including government changes
• Provide regular reports and updates
• Manage current resident tenancies, ensuring timely rent payment
• Support with property and building management and maintenance including scheduling repairs

About you

We're looking for someone who has knowledge on different types of tenancies, an understanding of the types of needs of our resident group, and able to provide tailored solutions to meet their long term goals. You will have a true passion to support in making a change, supporting rehabilitation, and providing opportunities to people to make positive changes to their lives, and reintegrate into society. You will have a general understanding of the criminal justice system, and/or have experience supporting people with multiple/complex needs. Further, you will have:

• Previous experience in coordinating/delivering activities and interventions with people from different backgrounds
• Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds and/or a good understanding of the sector
• Knowledge of risk management and risk assessment
• Knowledge of license conditions and public protection
• Knowledge of tenancy management, able to share knowledge with others in the team and residents

About The Role

As a Grants and Learning Officer, you’ll be helping us to deliver our ambitious, nationwide grants programme. We currently support over 500 grassroots organisations and 18-30 year old creatives, and have a busy grants cycle to manage, alongside ever-increasing numbers of applications. 

This year, we’re building and migrating to a new grants database and you’ll play an integral role on the project team. In addition, you’ll manage an assigned portfolio of grants, and help with all aspects of the funding cycle. You’ll support applicants and funded partners, make funding recommendations, administer grants, provide feedback and support, and visit projects.

Cranstoun is an independent charity and leading provider of specialist treatment, harm reduction and recovery services to those affected by drug and alcohol use. This is an exciting opportunity to become a Key Worker within our high performing psychosocial drug and alcohol service in HMP Birmingham.

We provide a range of services for those affected by drugs and alcohol. Our skilled and compassionate team work closely with people who use our services to change and save lives. We combine proven expertise in treatment and recovery with innovative approaches and actively involve those we help in improving the design of the services we provide.

You will be based in our psychosocial team working with adult males (over 18 years old). You will be responsible for delivering a range of elements of our substance use work including case management, assessments, care planning, the delivery of one-to-one interventions to include harm reduction and motivational work, group work, and engagement support as well as other associated duties. You need to be committed to supporting people who use our services to make positive changes to prepare them for release into the community, and you will arrange continuity of care. You will work in collaboration with the clinical team and integrated working is a key element of this role. You will work within the prison setting and contribute towards the wider prison drug strategy.

Having experience of supporting people with complex health needs including substance use, you will bring knowledge and commitment to deliver drug and alcohol treatment. You will have a non-judgemental attitude and a desire to support the lives of people who use our services to be healthier and safer by delivering a high-quality service.

Experience of working with drug and alcohol use is essential. You will be a competent communicator, with the ability to work independently and be comfortable and enthusiastic, both with the highlighted client group and working in partnership with other service providers. Previous experience or knowledge of working with individuals on opiate replacement treatment, and/or involved in the criminal justice system will be advantageous.

About Strength & Stem

Strength & Stem is a charity and social enterprise that uses floristry to empower female modern slavery survivors. The Director of the CDMT plays a strategic role in performing arts training, education and assessment nationally and manages the staff and resources of an organisation of UK-wide standing. The Director must be able to liaise effectively with all sectors of the dance, drama, music and musical theatre education communities.  They will have wide knowledge and experience of arts education at all stages of development from entry level, through Further/Higher Education to post-graduate level, and will also require an understanding of qualification frameworks in the UK. Knowledge and experience of inspection and self-assessment mechanisms similar to those operated by the Office for Students, Ofsted and Ofqual, is desirable.

The role includes advocacy on behalf of the sector and requires an ability to offer support and advice to professional schools, conservatoires and awarding organisations as well as informing the thinking of regulators, civil servants and parliamentarians. This demands a high level of tact, diplomacy, professional understanding and tenacity as well as intellectual rigour and integrity.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

The Lead Coach is primarily responsible for overseeing the training room and group sessions with young people. You will help shape the training environment and will confidently adapt and deliver materials and sessions to work within the group’s development towards work readiness.

Delivery of Spear Programme - Group and 1:1 coaching [60%]

• Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme.
• Building relationships with young people on the programme and managing culture, and attitudes in the training room.
• Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively.

Delivery of Spear Career [20%]

• Delivering weekly Spear Career sessions (including running workshops with past Trainees), maintaining records and reporting on statistics, and creatively developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees.

Training the Asssistant Coach [10%]

• Contributing towards the training and developing of the Assistant Coach by modelling excellent coaching and giving regular feedback.

Trainee recruitment [10%]

• Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics.

Continuous professional development

• Continually engaging in professional development, including being part of Resurgo’s wider coaching programmes and supporting the Church Partnerships Managers with overall team training and development.

The Royal Court Theatre has an exciting opportunity for someone to join the Front of House team as a Box Office Supervisor.

The Box Office Supervisor is a key role in the Front of House Team and will work closely with the Box Office Manager, Front of House Manager, and General Manager, to support the day-to-day operations of the box office and provide excellent customer service via telephone, email and in person to all Royal Court customers.

The post-holder will be based primarily at the front desk and will play a vital role in supporting the team with accurate and effective data capture using the Spektrix ticketing system. WiSE is a specialist Child Sexual Exploitation project which works closely in partnership with Police, Children’s Services, Education and health professionals, housing organisations and youth services to raise awareness and improve responses to sexual exploitation. 

As a Male CSE Practitioner, you will work across Sussex & Surrey to provide case work support and group interventions to boys and young men at risk of or experiencing sexual exploitation, as well as those exhibiting harmful sexual behaviour. You will deliver outreach sessions in various settings, collaborate with professionals to support interventions leading to prosecutions, and provide training on boys/young men and sexual exploitation.

Due to the nature of the client group, there is an occupational requirement that the post holder is male. Full driving license and access to a car required due to the large geographic service area.

Key responsibilities:

• Carry a caseload of boys & young men identified as exhibiting harmful sexual behaviours and/or being sexually exploited
• Work collaboratively with other professionals to provide intensive and holistic support
• Maintain detailed case notes and contribute to reports
• Facilitate group work interventions in schools, accommodation projects and youth groups
• Deliver detached sessions in various settings to engage at-risk boys & young men
• Provide expertise and increase awareness of harmful sexual behaviour and sexual exploitation
