Age UK is offering an exciting opportunity for a Programme Manager to develop and deliver funded programmes. This 12 month fixed term contract role will work across a variety of projects aimed at improving older people's wellbeing and will partner with teams from across the organisation to develop new programmes responding to the changing needs of older people.

Working closely with Age UK's Network of 130+ local and independent Network Partners, this role will work across the life cycle of projects, ranging from the development of new concepts through to the implementation and delivery of funded projects. The focus of the role will change according to the needs of the department and the needs of older people in the future.

The successful candidate would enjoy taking the initiative in challenging circumstances and working in a fast-paced environment. The candidate will demonstrate a high level of expertise in communication and an understanding of complex stakeholder relationship management with challenges that need to be understood and addressed in a timely manner.

This is an exciting hybrid opportunity, offering flexible working between home and a central London co-working hub.

Must haves:

• Experience of developing new funded programmes, from inception to delivery, including consultation with stakeholders and bid development.

Our Development Manager will play a key role in supporting ThinkForward to achieve ambitious growth targets and deliver on our mission to support young people facing challenges to build a brighter, better future.

At The Compassionate Friends (TCF) we are passionate about providing peer support to grieving parents and their families whose son or daughter has died at any age (from one month old to an adult) and from any cause. Fauna & Flora is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Technical Officer, Enterprise  to support the design, implementation and knowledge exchange of conservation enterprises and related local sustainable finance mechanisms that generate finance for conservation and/or improve the livelihoods of local communities at Fauna & Flora’s projects around the world.

You will be supporting business model development, private sector partnerships, project management, fundraising, capacity development and communications. You will work closely with our regional programme and partners in 20-plus countries, who are working on the ground to deliver conservation impact. 

You will be a highly motivated and organised individual, looking to apply your expertise in business and finance to solve conservation challenges. You will have an understanding of developing business plans and developing financial models. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to liaise across teams and cultures as well as from rural entrepreneurs to corporates and investors. You will enjoy applying your business skills to complex issues and explaining these in plain and accessible language. You will have excellent facilitation, training and coaching skills and passionate about supporting others to develop their knowledge and skills while being open to learning and able to quickly pick up new skills.

Fluency in English is essential and French is highly desirable. Knowledge of language relevant to Fauna & Flora’s work, such as Bahasa, Swahili, Russian, Portuguese or Spanish, will be highly valuable.

Fauna & Flora is part of the Cambridge Conservation Initiative in The David Attenborough Building, providing a great platform for collaboration with other conservation organisations and University of Cambridge departments and institutions. You will be joining a diverse team with global responsibilities and the role offers the opportunity to work within a ground-breaking and entrepreneurial organisation, at the forefront of global conservation.

This position will be based in Cambridge with international travel as required to meet project needs.

Yeldall Manor is a recovery centre, supporting men with addiction problems to heal, transform and thrive. We are a healing community with a holistic approach and Christian foundation. We are situated in the countryside near Reading.

If you have catering skills, certification in food safety and hygiene (or willingness to gain this), and the ability to encourage, motivate and challenge, you could be the person we are looking for to join our friendly staff team. 

As a cook, alongside the existing post-holders, you would take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the kitchen, working together with our residents themselves to provide lunch (up to 50 people) and dinner (up to 25 people). We are looking for someone who can work approximately one in two weekends and occasional weekdays. No evenings.

This rewarding role includes:

· Ensuring that nutritious meals are provided, and that food hygiene and Health and Safety protocols are adhered to

· Supervising residents allocated to the kitchen, providing meaningful and positive work for them

· Supporting residents by interacting with them and encouraging them in their recovery and Christian faith

Yeldall Manor is a Christian organisation, and this role has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate be a committed and practising Christian (in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010). This position is subject to a satisfactory criminal records check or enhanced DBS check. If you are in recovery, a minimum of two years’ demonstrable clean time is required.
