About the role
This vacancy is for a University Access Officer to work in one or two schools in London; exact school location(s) to be confirmed at interview. Our schools are shown on a mapThe Access Project schools on our website.
The University Access Officer works with school staff at all levels, volunteer tutors, and with the rest of The Access Project’s team to ensure that the delivery of the programme is optimised.
Role responsibilities
- Engage with students in school and enrol them onto the programme
- Match students with volunteer tutors
- Monitor student attendance to tutorials and devise innovative solutions to encourage attendance
- Assess student progress towards being able to make successful university applications
- Upload information onto the Salesforce database (training is provided)
- Monitor the impact of tutorials, and intervene as appropriate
- Build and manage relationships with volunteer tutors to ensure they have a positive experience of the programme
- Manage tutor relationships and attendance to tutorials through weekly monitoring of systems, emailing and making phone calls
- Work with school staff to ensure their cooperation and timely completion of activities contributing to the smooth running of the programme
- Chair and present at termly school meetings with Senior Management to report on programme progress.
- University Access Officers support the volunteering team by helping to deliver tutor training sessions, which take place on occasional Saturdays and weekday evenings (paid time off is provided).

Trust Fundraising Lead
The Brendoncare Foundation is seeking an experienced Trust Fundraising Lead to join our dedicated and growing fundraising team. The role will lead on the development of our trust fundraising strategy, from development of the Case for Support, through to donor stewardship, application writing and submission.
Our fundraising programme is a vital support for our vision of transforming the culture of ageing.
The day-to-day of this role will include working with our delivery teams to devise projects for funding, ensuring you have the information required to make this a success. You will hold relationships with key trust donors, organising meetings pre application and building relationships with new donors to improve success rates.
Applications will include specified and restricted projects, general unrestricted funding and capital projects as required. This role will lead on all applications below £25,000 per year and support the Head of Fundraising with applications larger than this.
What will I be doing?
Strategy, research and prospect development
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Trust Fundraising strategy, aligned with the financial targets and goals set by the organisation.
- Research and develop a large trust pipeline including warm and cold donors
Case for Support and application writing
- Draft specific applications from the case for support to meet donor requirements, ensuring applications are engaging, detailed and accurate
- Lead on collating data for the need of our services, pulling together research and working with delivery teams to collate impact data
- Working against specific KPIs for application submissions and income targets, reporting to Head of Fundraising against these monthly
Reporting
- Lead on the writing of reports to Trusts from which we have received funding
- Lead on engaging with the Trust after having received funding to keep them warm to future applications
Relationships
- Work collaboratively with the fundraising team, Trustees, care homes and community / club services team, staff and the central office team.
- Create and maintain effective relationships with external contacts to include prospective donors, community groups, volunteers and supporters.
- Support the wider work of the fundraising team where required, including at occasional evening and weekend events.
Maintain records of all donor and prospect relationships on our CRM system.
- Maintain high standards of donor care and stewardship.
- Keep abreast of fundraising activity and trends across the charity community, corporate and events sector.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of Brendoncare’s work, in order to develop a compelling case for support for a range of projects and initiatives.

What do I need to have to apply?
Essential requirements
- Demonstrable experience of achieving income targets through trust and grants fundraising through submission of high-quality applications and effective donor stewardship.
- Minimum of 2 years in a grant writing role
- Successful 5 figure multi-year applications
- Experience of working in a target driven environment, ideally within a fundraising team
- Experience of using IT software including Microsoft Office and a fundraising Customer Relationships Management Tool
- Excellent and confident communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to network at all levels.
- Able to use own initiative to work autonomously and also to work effectively as part of a team.
- Able to identify opportunities to benefit Brendoncare.

This vacancy is for a University Access Officer to work in the West Midlands across up to 4 schools (maximum) along with working remotely; exact school location(s) to be confirmed at interview. Our schools are shown on a map of The Access Project schools on our website. Access to own transport or reliable transport would be ideal. The University Access Officer works with school staff at all levels, volunteers, and with the rest of The Access Project’s team to ensure that the delivery of the programme is optimised.
Role responsibilities
Some of our schools undertake our Accelerate model, which includes mentoring and coaching. Other schools also have tutoring included on our Accelerate Plus model. Depending on the model in the schools you are based in, role responsibilities will include:

To assist us in this endeavour, we are looking for an experienced full-time Welfare and Benefits Information Lead. You will assist clients in claiming welfare benefits, grants, and any financial aid that may be available to them. This includes informing them of any financial help available, supporting them with applications and following up on claim as necessary. Where anyone has been given an end of life diagnosis you will be required to start the application on their behalf. In addition, you will also conduct financial wellbeing assessments in the community and schedule one-on-one application completion consultations with individuals who request your assistance.
This vital role will suit an enthusiastic and dynamic person who has excellent communication skills, being able to deal with complex matters effectively both verbally and in writing. You will need to understand the issues involved in interviewing people within a time defined period. The role and your key responsibilities
As a Partner Success Lead your role is to provide world class customer service to our partner base of over 2,500 schools and colleges. You will be responsible for onboarding our new schools and supporting our existing schools to make the most of the Unifrog platform. Solutions and customer service focused, you will make sure that all interactions with Unifrog are prompt, positive and successful.

Support Through Court is an independent charity providing practical and emotional support to people facing the court process without the benefit of legal representation. Along with managing the rollout of Lancashire Mind’s therapeutic services, you will manage several coaching focussed projects. As such you will lead on partner and funder liaison, promotion, quality assurance, monitoring and reporting.
