Churches Conservation Trust is the national charity protecting historic churches at risk, ensuring they are enjoyed as social, tourism, educational and cultural resources, kept open, in use, and living once again in the heart of their communities.
As a Conservation Projects Manager and a key member of the national Conservation team, you will work with experienced consultants and skilled craftspeople, with national and regional colleagues, volunteers, local partners and stakeholders to develop and manage a range of holistic, conservation and new use projects, from inception to completion, and providing professional advice and support to community led projects. You will lead on all capital, conservation and maintenance, programmes in the region.
You will have expertise and specialist knowledge in the field of historic building repair and conservation, and a proven track record of project management (client side) in the heritage sector. You might be a Building Surveyor, a Conservation Architect, an Estate Manager, or a Project Manager, in this continually varied and unique role you will be working on some of the most significant historic buildings in the country. As you’ll be working on projects across the region, but not exclusively, it is essential you have a full driving license.

Key Duties:

The Peer Support Coordinator will play a critical role in the delivery of Day One's Peer Support Service. Purpose:
You will be an integral part of our team, bringing together our professional staff with our immensely valuable and experienced volunteers. You will engage with our existing volunteer team, recruit new volunteers for various opportunities within the charity, and match people with volunteer activities as they arise, making sure that volunteers have fulfilling and purposeful projects to work on.
Key accountabilities:

Maintain register of volunteers in Outlook and One Drive in compliance with GDPR

Ensure that volunteers are engaged in meaningful duties directly related to the objectives of the Society

Respond to requests from staff for volunteer engagement in particular activities (e.g. poll books indexing, library inventory, magazine content)

Organise occasional Zoom training sessions for projects and maintain organic resources and procedures

Liaise with proofreaders in the development and maintenance of indexing guidelines

Allocate, distribute and collect project work and arrange proofreading

Maintain volunteer page of our website and volunteer forms

Supply brief text to magazine and newsletter to encourage volunteering

Write and publish occasional articles for the website about particular categories of volunteer work

As our Website Content Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our digital voice is heard. You’ll bring our brand to life on our website and ensure users have a seamless experience all whilst ensuring alignment with our brand strategy and audience engagement goals.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Significant experience in a similar role with the ability to evidence previous success of improving website engagement, conversion and increased traffic
Experience of developing, producing, testing and optimising website content as well as providing editorial & technical guidance/training to colleagues
Comprehensive understanding of content design, accessibility, SEO and UX principles. And know how to take this knowledge and use it to create engaging content and user journeys that supports our user and charity needs
Strong technical ability including experience of a content management system, GA4 to review website performance as well as a good understanding of UX and A/B tests
About the Role
You will develop and deliver a website content strategy that leverages our brand, the impact of our work and personal stories to compel people to support us online, become volunteers, as well as make sure that our sector-leading first aid information is accessible to everyone.
Develop website content and journeys to support high impact, brand-led, integrated campaigns and appeals that increase donations, volunteer recruitment and other objectives agreed by the organisation.
Work with our brand manager to develop brand guidelines, house style, photography and tone of voice guide for the website and ensure consistency across the site (and by content editors).
Be a key member of the website knowledge board to identify, prioritise and plan website improvements, projects and campaigns in line with the organisation’s strategic goals.
Develop and deliver a website content strategy, based on a thorough review of current performance and user experience.

Job objectives
