Role Purpose

To create a series of front facing events that engage our residents and local businesses at all levels and across the neighbourhood whilst profiling BCA as the central hub of the community in Barnes and Mortlake

Key Responsibilities:

• Operations Management

• Oversee the BCA’s yearly Events Calendar as well as the day-to-day operation and delivery of all BCA events, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and adherence to policies and procedures.

• Secure funding for all key events from suitable sponsors

• Manage budgeting, financial reporting, and resource allocation.

• Source, curate and liaise with exhibitors

• Generate a programme of external entertainment or Barnes Fair and Christmas Festival

• Liaise with Richmond Council and prepare necessary site plans and documentation

• Source and manage external contractors as required including but not limited to; Marquees, Staging, Security, PA systems, Generators and Battery Packs, Public Lavatories, First Aid and Ambulance Services, Rubbish Collection, Fun Fair equipment

• Participate in the recruitment and management of volunteers

• Oversee design and source of BCA merchandise

• Organise promotional banners and fliers

• Oversee PR and Social Media activity

• Organise BCA stands at all events

• Ensure robust data protection, safeguarding, and health and safety policies are maintained and followed by Staff, Trustees and Volunteers.

• Assist and help team members if and as required

Administration

• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including reporting to relevant authorities and stakeholders.

• Organise regular planning meetings with the Events Committee and prepare minutes

• Prepare comprehensive board pack reports for quarterly trustee board meetings.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Events Organiser with demonstrable ability to deliver high impact events

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills including financial controls.

• Ability to work on own initiative

• Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office.

• Swimmer recruitment & outreach: Build relationships with local organisations to raise awareness of WeSwim and support referrals. • Systems & administration: Maintain accurate club records including membership data and attendance logs. Monitor attendance and impact data to support reporting. Use and improve systems and processes to support efficient coordination and growth.

Role Overview:
The Talent Set are delighted to partner with the client on a fantastic Events Fundraiser role. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to impactful charity work by delivering engaging fundraising events that inspire supporters, maximise income, and foster lasting relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement operational and marketing plans for allocated events to ensure timely delivery within budget and meet income targets.
• Monitor financial performance, KPIs, and supporter engagement, adjusting strategies as needed to maximise success.
• Manage a diverse portfolio of high-value supporters and volunteers, providing personalised stewardship and recognition to enhance retention and long-term commitment.
• Lead supporter journeys, optimise communication strategies, and develop tailored fundraising materials to facilitate growth across events.
• Cultivate relationships with supporters, stakeholders, and external partners to unlock new fundraising opportunities and increase event participation.
• Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of event volunteers, ensuring efficient support for event activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate processes, improve supporter experiences, and ensure compliance with legal, data protection, and organisational policies.
• Contribute to department initiatives, including sourcing corporate participation and developing new fundraising concepts to broaden income streams.

Person Specification:

• Demonstrated experience in event or supporter-led fundraising, with a track record of growing income and engagement.
• Excellent supporter care skills, with the ability to build rapport and deliver a high-quality service to a diverse supporter base.
• Strong organisational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in ICT tools such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and databases, with a good understanding of data management and analysis.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to various audiences and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of fundraising regulations, data protection, and equalities policy, ensuring activities comply with best practices and legal standards.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a solutions-focused approach to achieving objectives.

We train and support volunteers to offer various accommodation options while building a network of local support. This includes providing personalised assistance to help individuals access relevant local services and address their other needs. Through compassionate, courageous, and collaborative action, we implement innovative solutions to tackle housing injustice, enhance the quality of housing, and elevate the voices and experiences of groups affected by housing injustice to both local and national governments.

About Citadel

Citadel is a volunteer-powered homelessness prevention project that supports people experiencing, or at risk of homelessness, to find a place to live, settle into a home, and feel part of a welcoming and supportive community. Coordinators recruit and train volunteers before matching them with a person referred for support. Coordinators and volunteers work closely with people who have been referred, to establish what matters to them and how best they can support them.

About you

We are seeking to hire an outgoing, confident leader who is skilled and comfortable in building relationships and influencing people. You will be a dedicated, diligent person with experience of leading teams in the homelessness, housing or voluntary and community sectors and passionate about the role of the community in ending homelessness.

About the role

The successful candidate will provide supportive line management to six Coordinators working in North-East and South-East London. They will be responsible for overseeing and developing our London projects: building our partnerships, supporting the teams to grow the support we offer and supporting the projects’ continuous improvement and sustainability.

About the Opportunity

The Soil Association Land Trust safeguards legacies of productive land, providing a safe haven and preventing land being lost from farming and growing. Land is donated by retiring farmers and landowners, often those with no dependents, who wish to see their life’s work continue into the future.

Their generosity means not only can we keep land for farming and growing but we can also provide opportunities for people to enter farming, often for the first time.

The Land Trust is part of the Soil Association family and is governed by its own Articles and its own Board of Trustees.
You will be working closely with colleagues in the Farming and Land Use and the Land Trust Woodoaks team.

About You

This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in the effective running and growth of the Land Trust charity. You’ll provide vital administrative and governance support, organising the AGM, board meetings and sub committees, preparing detailed minutes, and ensuring timely follow up of agreed actions. You will help keep our policies and procedures up to date and work closely with our accounts team to raise invoices and support credit control. Alongside this, you will contribute to the delivery of the Land Trust development plan, supporting fundraising initiatives and helping to produce promotional materials.
You will also be at the heart of managing our existing land holdings, liaising with tenants and land agents on tenancy matters, coordinating repairs and inspections, and supporting compliance. As we explore new land opportunities, you’ll help nurture relationships with existing and prospective donors and contribute to updating land acquisition policies. Acting as the front line contact for all internal and external enquiries, you will champion the Trust’s work, ensuring our services are well promoted and working with the digital team to keep the Land Trust and Woodoaks websites current, engaging and informative.
