Purpose of the role

Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, the Community & Events Executive is an integral part of the Fundraising team, providing outstanding administrative and general fundraising support with a focus on income generation, supporter stewardship and data accuracy. The Fundraising Executive manages all incoming fundraising enquiries and provides excellent customer care and stewardship to our community and events supporters. This is a busy role, supporting colleagues across multiple areas of fundraising, including events, community, corporate and trusts fundraising.

In this role, you will undertake all key administrative, database and financial duties to ensure the smooth running of team processes and procedures.

The role provides an opportunity to develop fundraising knowledge and is perfect for someone who has a passion for building income, relationships and delivering excellent supporter care. As this is a people-facing role, you will be working with supporters over the phone, online, in writing, and face-to-face, to ensure our supporters receive the ultimate supporter journey and experience.

The post holder should have a full clean driving license and be willing to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends to attend and support events.

We’re looking for a Community Coordinator to take ownership of a group of WeSwim clubs, playing a central role in building and supporting a thriving, connected community around them. 

This is a role for someone who is excellent at relationship building and enjoys being at the heart of things. You’ll work closely with disabled swimmers, volunteers and our pool partners to create a welcoming, inclusive and seamless experience from first contact through to regular participation. 

You’ll coordinate sessions, support swimmers into the water, build strong local relationships, and help clubs grow through outreach and community engagement. 

Alongside keeping things running smoothly, you’ll be out in the community, getting to know people, spotting opportunities, and supporting volunteers and swimmers to take part in ways that feel meaningful to them.

Key Responsibilities:

• Club operations & coordination: Coordinate weekly swim sessions across your allocated clubs, making sure sessions run smoothly. Act as the main point of contact for swimmers, volunteers, committees and pool partners, building strong relationships and resolving day-to-day issues. Regularly visit clubs to get to know volunteers and swimmers, understand how sessions are running, and identify any issues or opportunities.

• Swimmer journey & membership: Manage the swimmer journey from application through to first session and ongoing participation. Monitor attendance and engagement and meet recruitment and attendance targets ensuring a balanced flow of swimmers.

• Swimmer recruitment & outreach: Build relationships with local organisations to raise awareness of WeSwim and support referrals. Deliver outreach activity to maintain a steady flow of new swimmers into clubs and waiting lists. Support the setup and launch of new WeSwim clubs by building local awareness and supporting swimmer recruitment, working closely with the wider team.

• Volunteer engagement & club presence: Build strong relationships with volunteers, ensuring they feel welcomed, valued and supported. Support volunteer with regular communications and work closely with the wider team to improve volunteer experience.

• Systems & administration: Maintain accurate club records including membership data and attendance logs. Monitor attendance and impact data to support reporting. Use and improve systems and processes to support efficient coordination and growth.

• Community participation & engagement: Support volunteers, swimmers and supporters to organise and lead their own activities and initiatives (e.g. events, challenges, social activities). Create simple accessible resources that support people to take part and contribute. Be the main point of contact for people who want to get more involved in WeSwim.

Our Organisation 

Sydenham Garden, based in Lewisham in South-East London, is a special, unique and beloved wellbeing centre utilising its gardens, nature reserve and activity rooms to help people living with and recovering from mental and physical ill-health. We were established in 2002 and will celebrate our 25th anniversary in 2027. We provide nature and arts based creative, social and therapeutic activities for co-workers (the name we give our primary beneficiaries). People are referred to us from community organisations and health professionals and we use an integrative approach where those with different degrees of mental and physical ill health come together with volunteers from the local community to reduce social exclusion and prejudice. Each year we work with on average over 250 co-workers and over 70 volunteers. 

About you 

You’ll have experience in building relationships with individual donors, increasing income from community sources and engaging and enthusing volunteers and supporters around a cause. You’ll have excellent communication and people skills and feel comfortable both thinking strategically and managing competing priorities day-to-day. Most importantly, you’ll thrive in a small team working to make a big impact for people living with mental ill-health and dementia.

Land Trust Co-ordinator

The Soil Association Land Trust safeguards legacies of productive land, providing a safe haven and preventing land being lost from farming and growing. Land is donated by retiring farmers and landowners, often those with no dependents, who wish to see their life’s work continue into the future.

Their generosity means not only can we keep land for farming and growing but we can also provide opportunities for people to enter farming, often for the first time.

The Land Trust is part of the Soil Association family and is governed by its own Articles and its own Board of Trustees.
You will be working closely with colleagues in the Farming and Land Use and the Land Trust Woodoaks team.

About You

This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in the effective running and growth of the Land Trust charity. You’ll provide vital administrative and governance support, organising the AGM, board meetings and sub committees, preparing detailed minutes, and ensuring timely follow up of agreed actions. You will help keep our policies and procedures up to date and work closely with our accounts team to raise invoices and support credit control. Alongside this, you will contribute to the delivery of the Land Trust development plan, supporting fundraising initiatives and helping to produce promotional materials.
You will also be at the heart of managing our existing land holdings, liaising with tenants and land agents on tenancy matters, coordinating repairs and inspections, and supporting compliance. As we explore new land opportunities, you’ll help nurture relationships with existing and prospective donors and contribute to updating land acquisition policies. Acting as the front line contact for all internal and external enquiries, you will champion the Trust’s work, ensuring our services are well promoted and working with the digital team to keep the Land Trust and Woodoaks websites current, engaging and informative.

HFEH Mind has an exciting part-time opportunity for a creative lead on our new project focusing on the intersect between climate change and young people’s mental health. The London Mental Health and Climate Coalition is a 3 year National Lottery project which includes various partners, who are coming together to connect climate action with mental wellbeing.

 We are looking for someone with experience in creating youth focussed media or content and an interest in climate action and/or mental health. No prior experience in climate change action or mental health is required.

This role will involve:

- Creating both long and short form content for our social media platforms which will be distributed across the Thrive LND partnership.  

- Developing a social media campaign to promote children and young people’s personal wellbeing in the climate emergency.

- Running a co-production youth panel to inform activities around climate action.

- Co-creating workshops and a toolkit to support with eco-anxiety.

You will…

- Have experience in creating and distributing youth focussed media/content.

- Have an interest in climate change action/mental health.

- Ideally located in or close to Hammersmith, Fulham, Ealing or Hounslow.

Event & Engagement Coordinator 

Remote based in North West England. Please note, the role requires working one day a week in Manchester. 

Fixed term contract: initially 12 months with potential to extend.

Job Purpose: 

To plan, coordinate, and deliver a range of local events across North West England, ensuring each event is well-organised, inclusive, and engaging for local communities. The Local Event Coordinator will collaborate closely with partners, local authorities, suppliers, volunteers, and members to deliver high-quality, unique and memorable experiences.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Plan and manage logistics for a variety of local member events, making sure all events are accessible and attractive to both existing and potential members. 

• Liaise with relevant external and internal contacts such as venues, suppliers, CSSC’s ticketing platform, Head Office departments, and volunteers. 

• Complete all relevant compliance work such as risk assessments and public liability checks. 

• Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring value for money and accurate financial tracking. 

• Promote events via social media, email campaigns, posters, and local press in collaboration with marketing teams. 

• Manage and grow the North West’s CSSC TikTok presence, including content planning, filming, editing, posting, and community engagement. 

• Demonstrate strong working knowledge of TikTok trends, algorithms, analytics, and best practices. 

• Create engaging, on-brand short-form video content tailored to target audiences. 

• Monitor performance metrics and use insights to optimise content strategy and increase reach and engagement. 

• Stay up to date with emerging social media trends, tools, and platform updates. 

• Show a genuine interest in communications, digital marketing, and social media strategy. 

• Oversee event setup and breakdown where applicable, managing on-site logistics and resolving any issues on the day. 

• Recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with events. 

• Evaluate event success through feedback, data collection, and post-event reporting. 

Key Skills & Experience: 

Essential: 

• Proven experience in planning and delivering events. 

• Strong organisational and time-management skills. 

• Ability to manage budgets and handle multiple projects simultaneously. 

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. 

• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when required. 

• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region. 

• Ability to analyse member insights to inform event planning for CSSC members and to attract potential new members. 

• Work collaboratively with the Regional Team to develop and implement strategies aimed at supporting membership growth and ensure positive member experiences. 

• Build a rapport with CSSC volunteers and understand skillsets in order to correctly identify support necessary for events. 

• Confident in using IT systems and ticketing platforms to effectively promote events across appropriate channels. 

• Supporting Regional Hub Manager with member and volunteer engagement events 

• Experience with processes 

Desirable: 

• Experience working with community groups, charities, membership organisations or not for profits. 

• Knowledge of health and safety and safeguarding procedures. 

• Familiarity with marketing or PR for events. 

• First Aid or event safety training. 

• Previous experience with ticketing platforms or willingness to learn. 

• Understanding of how comms and events align with one another.
