As Communications Coordinator, you will play a central role in supporting the delivery of effective communications activity across this work. Homeless Link is the national membership charity for frontline homelessness services. We work to improve services through research, guidance and learning, and campaign for policy change that will ensure everyone has a place to call home and the support they need to keep it. Our social enterprise supports the homelessness sector through specialised software, engaging training, expert consultancy, and impactful events that also helps to fund our wider work to end homelessness for good.

The Communications and Engagement team work across Homeless Link supporting teams to market their products and increase the impact of their work. Whether it is getting information to the member organisations about how to run a good day service, to Ministers on how homelessness services should be funded or to frontline workers advertising our training and conferences, we support Homeless Link’s staff to be as effective as possible. 

One of the new Communications Officer posts will work specifically on our new National Workforce Programme, supporting our training, research and skills development work aiming to attract people to work in the homelessness sector. The second Communications Officer will work with our existing team across all channels to communicate with members and homelessness professionals, helping them to do their jobs more effectively, and marketing our products.  The successful candidates will have at least 2 years experience of communication and/or marketing in a professional or semi-professional capacity, excellent communication skills, experience of creating website content, strong strategic and analytical skills and previous experience of using social media in a professional capacity.  If that sounds like you, and you share our vision of a country free from homelessness, we would love to hear from you.

Role Overview

Mothers’ Union is seeking a talented and organised Communications & Publications Coordinator to support the delivery of high-quality written communications across the charity. This role will play a key part in shaping and sharing our voice through articles, press releases, media engagement, and the management of our two publications.

Working closely with the Acting Director of Communications & Marketing, the postholder will help ensure that Mothers’ Union’s mission, faith, impact, and advocacy work are clearly, professionally, and consistently communicated to members, supporters, clergy, partners, and the wider public.

Key Responsibilities

Writing & Editorial

·Researching, writing, and editing articles, features, and news stories for internal and external publications.

·Drafting press releases, media statements, briefings, and opinion pieces.

·Supporting the production and editorial coordination of Mothers’ Union newsletters, magazines, and other publications (print and digital).

·Proofreading and ensuring consistency of tone, style, and brand voice across all communications.

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern

This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

Overview

Job Purpose

As Operations Manager (OM), you’ll lead safe, high‑quality services, guide a committed frontline team, ensure compliance, strengthen partnerships, and drive performance across all operations; keeping our work moving from outreach and hotspot engagement to groups, community stalls, and the everyday moments where trust is built. Are you an experienced arts manager with a good knowledge of the choral singing sector? We are looking for our new General Manager to work across finance, marketing, strategic and artistic direction, development, smooth daily operations, and responsible for safeguarding. You will be managing a small team of experienced staff and have the support of an active Chairman and Board of Trustees. 

The main duties and responsibilities for the General Manager role are as follows:
GENERAL MANAGEMENT
• Lead the small part time team, maintaining regular contact and guiding their
decision-making and activities
• Ensure that all team members are working effectively and have appropriate
support and resources
• Identifying ad hoc need for extra resource and sourcing this
• First point of contact for any enquiries to the Foundation

STRATEGIC & ARTISTIC DIRECTION
• Working closely with the Founding Artistic Director and Board of Trustees to
develop and deliver the artistic and strategic vision for the Foundation.
• Review current strategic goals and develop 3-5 year plan with the Board for all
activities.
• Produce quarterly general management updates for the Trustees.
• Work with the team to help them deliver on their annual targets (choral
courses; Rodolfus Choir; Development; communication; partnerships)

FINANCIAL
• Overseeing the bank account and payment platforms and updating all
payments in and out of the account via our accounting software, XERO.
• Paying invoices and keeping accurate records.
• Liaising with our accountants and providing information for the preparation of
annual accounts.
• Setting the annual budget and reviewing every quarter for Trustee meetings
• Setting the choral courses budget and Rodolfus Choir budget in collaboration
with the Courses Operations Manager and Choir Manager, for the annual
activities.
• Working with a member of the Board to discuss financial strategy.
• Collating gift aid claims for submission

MARKETING AND REPRESENTING THE ORGANISATION
• Develop and execute a vision and ‘story’ for the Foundation, both for marketing
and fundraising. (in collaboration with the Development Manager and
Communications Manager)
• Attend conferences and events to promote the Foundation as appropriate
• Look for opportunities to develop our activities
• Write and send Newsletters to our database of supporters at least monthly or
when required, liaising with the team for appropriate messages and content.
• Overseeing marketing including print/digital marketing assets for our activities

FUNDRAISING & DEVELOPMENT
• Supporting the Development Manager to develop applications to Trusts &
Foundations, including developing a case for funding as necessary.
• Supporting the Development Manager in their endeavours to develop
Individual Donors

SAFEGUARDING
• Working with our Trustee for Safeguarding, reviewing and updating all
safeguarding policies annually, briefing annual course staff on their
safeguarding responsibilities
• Dealing with any disclosures and keeping records.
• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the Foundation

GENERAL
• Attend Team and Board meetings as required
• Be a passionate advocate at all times for Rodolfus
• Adhere to all legal requirements relating to the General Data Protection
Regulation (GDPR) as well as all other company policies and procedures

AMF profile

Against Malaria Foundation (AMF) was founded in 2004 and is a charity that fights malaria in a highly effective, accountable and transparent way.

We do this by purchasing and distributing multiple millions of long-lasting insecticide-treated nets (LLINs) at a time in nationwide universal coverage campaigns. This is the most cost-effective way of preventing malaria. AMF receives donations from the public and in the last financial year received US$147 million and, in our history, now over US$820 million. AMF is particularly data-focused and monitors and reports on net use and drives and supports innovation to improve the effectiveness of malaria programmes.

AMF is the world’s third largest funder of nets.

AMF has been rated a top charity for all of the last 16 years by independent charity evaluators GiveWell, Giving What We Can and The Life You Can Save who focus on impact and cost-effectiveness.

We are a team of 15 highly motivated individuals with different skills and experience. Each person has an important role to play. All team members work remotely with constant communication between them. While the team is small, the impact is big - our net distributions protect millions of people. Our largest programme is in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), where we are funding 52 million nets to protect 94 million people for distribution during 2025 to 2027. We have ongoing multi-million net programmes in other countries including Chad, Guinea, Nigeria, South Sudan, Togo, Uganda and Zambia.

Role Description

Our activities and commitments are steadily increasing, and 2026-2029 is expected to be a very busy period of distributions, with over ~70m nets planned for distribution in 2026 alone. In light of this, AMF is recruiting a Senior Operations Manager to join the operations team and play an important role in ensuring the success of the net distributions. We are looking for someone who has strong interpersonal and intellectual skills who is able to work collaboratively. The ideal candidate will be comfortable taking on significant responsibility by leading on several of AMF’s programmes.

The role will include involvement in all stages of a distribution campaign (pre-agreement, net procurement, post-agreement, during distribution, and post distribution) across two main areas: 

1. Work with National Malaria Control Programmes (NMCPs) and distribution partners

2. Work with AMF’s independent monitoring partners

Further information

The Senior Operations Manager will lead on several of AMF’s programmes. They will work closely with NMCPs and distribution partners, in country partners, AMF independent monitors, cofunding partners, the AMF Operations and Technology teams to ensure the success of AMF distributions. 

More specifically, they will manage the distributions through the following stages

1. Pre agreement

• Establishing the funding gap

• Establishing the net need, malaria burden, insecticide resistance data

• Working with the Ministry of Health to negotiate and put in place an agreement for the programme

2. Net procurement

• Working with AMF’s procurement lead to order nets in time for the distribution

3. Post-agreement

• After signature of the agreement, working with countries and distribution partners to put in place the plans for key elements, in particular

  • Digital data collection

  • 5% verification

  • Net tracking

• Tender for and select an independent partner for distribution monitoring, and work closely with this partner that will be AMF’s eyes and ears in country

4. During the distribution

• Track information coming from all partners

• Analyse with the support of AMF’s analytics team registration and distribution data and take actions if needed

• Account for all AMF nets

5. Post distribution

• Tender for and select an independent partner for post distribution monitoring, and work closely with this partner to carry out surveys at 0, 9, 18 and 27 months post-distribution

• Share results with in-country partners and encourage appropriate actions to be taken

Through these stages, it will be important to maintain strong relationships with the key partners, notably the National Malaria Control Programmes, distribution partners and cofunding partners to ensure that distributions are carried out according to the agreements signed between the Ministry of Health and AMF. 

These relationships will ensure that solutions can be found constructively to issues that arise during implementation of AMF’s programmes.

Aside from the areas above, there will be other work related to AMF Group Operations, dependent on the candidate’s skill set.

Characteristics of the successful candidate

We are looking for someone who has strong interpersonal and intellectual skills, who works collaboratively in a team and relishes responsibility and the opportunity to learn and develop their abilities. The ideal candidate will be motivated to help improve the lives of those affected by the wider impacts of malaria.

As well as marketing, this role has responsibility for content, including for our website and social media channels, making sure these are updated with high-quality, accessible, engaging, and well-optimised educational and brand-building materials pitched at a range of target audiences.
