About us
Greyhound Rescue Wales (GRW) is Wales’ leading charity dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming greyhounds and lurchers. Founded in 1993, we have spent more than three decades championing the welfare of sighthounds and working towards our vision: a Wales without greyhound racing, where every greyhound and lurcher has a home and receives the best possible care.
In April 2026, after 25 years of determined campaigning to improve welfare and regulation within the racing industry, legislation to ban greyhound racing in Wales was finally passed. This landmark achievement marks the beginning of a new chapter for GRW as we expand our reach and capacity across the UK to ensure every greyhound leaving the racing industry has a rescue space, medical support and rehabilitation on the journey towards their forever home.
To help us grow sustainably and strengthen our long‑term impact, we are now seeking to develop our fundraising team with the creation of a Sponsorship and Individual Giving Officer. This role will play a key part in increasing and diversifying our income, enabling us to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome even more dogs during this pivotal moment in our charity’s history.
Role
Greyhound Rescue Wales is seeking a motivated and compassionate Sponsorship and Individual Giving Officer to grow and steward this important income stream. This role will nurture, develop and manage our corporate and individual giving programme, including legacies, ensuring our supporters feel valued and informed.
As part of our Income Generation Team, you will work closely with the Head of Fundraising, Trusts & Foundations Officer and Community & Events Fundraiser to help deliver an annual income target of £400K+.
You’ll take ownership of a varied portfolio of corporate relationships, membership and donors, whilst developing new partnerships and individual giving, including development of our legacies programme.

About us
There aren’t many organisations that can say they’ve been serving their community for over 550 years. Croydon Almshouses (CA) can and we’re proud to be the oldest charity in Croydon, rooted in a long-standing commitment to local people and place.
Since 1447, we’ve provided almshouse accommodation to older people with a connection to Croydon who are negatively affected by poverty. For the past 40 years, we’ve also awarded grants to voluntary, community and faith sector organisations, and individuals across the Borough.
Now, our focus is firmly on what comes next. Our vision is to create thriving communities where everybody can live with dignity and independence, using our resources and agility to reduce the impact of poverty on people in Croydon.
To help us deliver this, we’re recruiting a proactive and organised Administrator, who is a values-led team player, who demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills to support CA’s staff team to deliver on its ambitious objectives.
Essential criteria:
· Proven experience in a general administrative or office support role
· Experience managing multiple tasks, prioritising workloads and meeting competing deadlines
· Experience maintaining accurate records and handling confidential or sensitive information appropriately
· Experience communicating verbally and in writing effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
Interested?
If you are an experienced Administrator wanting to provide high level support at an ambitious local organisation, we’d love to hear from you.
Apply now to become Croydon Almshouses’ next Administrator and help create thriving communities where people can live with dignity and independence.
Alongside this Administrator role, we are also recruiting for two other part-time roles: a Finance Assistant and an EA to the CEO.
