About the role:

No one should leave hospital with nowhere safe to go.

As Homeless Pathway Coordinator, you’ll be a consistent and trusted presence for patients experiencing homelessness, helping them navigate what can feel like an overwhelming mix of health, housing and support systems. You’ll spend time with patients on wards and in A&E, listening to what matters to them, understanding the barriers they face and making sure their voice remains at the heart of every decision.

Day to day, you’ll manage a caseload, complete assessments, develop clear discharge and support plans and make referrals to housing, healthcare, social care, mental health and substance use services. You’ll follow up actions, keep plans moving and advocate firmly when someone is at risk of being discharged without the right accommodation or support in place.

You’ll work closely with the Homeless Pathway Lead, hospital teams, Newham Council and SHP’s wider Health Team, bringing professionals together and helping everyone stay focused on the person behind the case. You’ll also build links with community services, identify gaps in existing pathways and share learning that helps the hospital respond more effectively to people experiencing homelessness.

This is a role where strong relationships can change the course of someone’s recovery. You’ll join an experienced and supportive team, with opportunities to deepen your knowledge of inclusion health, homelessness and psychologically informed practice through training, reflective practice and shared learning.

• You have experience supporting people experiencing homelessness, multiple disadvantage or significant barriers to accessing services.
• You know how to build trust with people who may feel let down by services, keeping their voice and choices at the centre of your work.

Rays of Sunshine is looking for a creative, sensitive and confident Senior Communications Officer to help bring our work to life through powerful storytelling, media engagement and compelling content.

This is an exciting opportunity to join us as we launch our new five-year strategy, refreshed brand and new website. You’ll play a key role in helping us share the stories of seriously ill children, young people and their families, raising awareness of our work and inspiring more people to support Rays of Sunshine.

As our Senior Communications Officer, you’ll act as our story development lead, working directly with children, young people and families to sensitively capture the moments that demonstrate the impact of our work. You’ll develop case studies, coordinate photography and filming, create content for social media, website, press and email marketing, and help ensure our storytelling is handled with care, consent and integrity.

You’ll also support PR and media activity, build relationships with journalists, identify media opportunities, draft press releases and case studies, and help coordinate activity involving families, colleagues, ambassadors, celebrities and high-profile supporters.

Alongside this, you’ll support our Wish Ambassador programme, celebrity and influencer engagement, digital communications, social media, website content and wider communications campaigns. About the role

Taking ownership of our digital and technology platforms, you will actively support campaigns that improve the lives of women. In particular, you will optimise our website, CRM and social media to grow traffic, engagement and conversions through reporting and A/B testing and proactively review digital content based on SEO changes and evolving organisational needs. At the same time, you will assist colleagues in delivering diverse digital projects whilst identifying opportunities for automation and championing best practice in everything you do. In short, you will bring women’s stories to life via marketing campaigns, AI, influencers, social media and other channels to give us a powerful voice to champion change and transform outcomes.

About you

Highly experienced in delivering websites, CRM systems and digital platforms, you will be a confident project manager with proven ability to translate user needs into digital improvements. Needless to say, you should be adept at digital optimisation, SEO, skilled at briefing developers and experienced at drafting digital project roadmaps and training materials, and you will be passionate about the possibilities of technology.

If you have a background with a membership, charity or campaigning organisation, so much the better, and knowledge of an Enterprise CMS (Squiz Matrix, Sitecore, Umbraco) plus HTML and A/B testing, CRO, UX, AI and analytics tools would be very useful. However, it’s your resilience and adaptability that will matter most, backed by a highly creative mindset and deep understanding of the latest digital trends.

Groundwork South is seeking a motivated and experienced part-time Delivery Manager to oversee the delivery of our Climate Action Fund project over the next five years.

About the Project 

Communities Prepared works with volunteers and communities across England to help them build the skills, confidence and knowledge needed to prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies. This includes supporting communities to plan for climate-related risks such as flooding, storms, heatwaves, and severe weather. 

Despite the successes we have had through our programme to date, we are not currently reaching diverse enough audiences and too often there are people missing from the resilience sector. This needs to change. To address this we are now embarking on an exciting new UK-wide partnership programme funded through the National Lottery Community Fund’s Climate Action Fund over the next five years. 

The programme responds to growing evidence that climate-related emergencies, including extreme heat, flooding, fire, cold and severe weather, disproportionately impact marginalised communities, while those same communities are often excluded from resilience planning and decision-making. 

The programme brings together Equally Ours, Communities Prepared (part of Groundwork South), and the VCS Emergencies Partnership (VCSEP, part of the British Red Cross) to strengthen climate resilience by ensuring that communities experiencing discrimination and disadvantage are at the heart of climate preparedness, response, recovery and policy-making. 

Through a rights-based and co-produced approach, the programme seeks to shift climate resilience policy and practice away from models that frame communities as “vulnerable”, and towards approaches grounded in agency, participation, equality and shared responsibility. 

Key Responsibilities 

As Delivery Manager, you will oversee the development and delivery of specific resilience focussed training and workshops with marginalised communities, with the understanding that our current offer will need to be adapted in line with feedback from these groups. Key tasks include: 

• Overseeing initial stakeholder mapping exercises and the development of a structured engagement plan to recruit and work with marginalised communities.
• Building a collaborative and trusting relationship with the partner organisations and other stakeholders for this project, ensuring this work meets their expectations and complements areas of the work programme led by others, and that learning is shared to support wider programme development and delivery.
• Designing a process to receive constructive feedback from project participants and build this into co-creation / adaption of resilience focused training and workshop resources.
• Developing and overseeing a programme of training, workshops and a train-the-trainer offer with project participants, ensuring an equal environment is created that allows for adaptation based on learning.
• Working with the core Communities Prepared team to adapt our offer with the long-term goal of the Programme reaching more diverse audiences, especially those seldom heard in this sector 

We are looking for someone with: 

• Experience in community engagement or community development. 
• Strong organisational and project management skills. 
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, confident to engage people from a range of different backgrounds. 
• Experience working and collaborating with multiple stakeholders or partners. 
• Confidence working as part of a team, as well as independently in a remote role. 
• An interest in climate change, community resilience and wider community development. 
• A willingness to travel across the country.

Job purpose

To provide high-quality, intensive support to young dads and expectant fathers (aged 25 and under) across Tees Valley; to lead and coordinate peer support activity; to manage allocated budgets and contribute to funder reporting; and to take an active role in the development of NEYDL’s commissioned services in the region.

Hours - Full-time (35 hours per week). Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, with some evening and weekend working expected to meet the needs of the charity.

Location - Tees Valley. Hybrid - mix of community-based, outreach and home working.

Key responsibilities

1. Direct support

•Provide in-person and online 1-to-1 support to young dads and non-birthing people, helping them address key challenges and achieve personal outcomes

•Assess new referrals and manage a complex caseload, prioritising according to need and risk

•Support young dads to attend key meetings with professionals (including child protection, child in need, family court and multi-agency forums)

•Help young dads to access wider opportunities including volunteering, employment, education and community activities

•Support young dads and their families to engage in father and child activities, stay and play sessions, and peer supported recreational activities

•Promote and support access to DigiDAD, NEYDL’s free e-learning platform, and other training and information resources

2. Peer support and group work

•Establish, coordinate and co-facilitate in-person peer support groups for young dads in Tees Valley

•Support the development and delivery of parenting, relationship skills and employability sessions in response to community-identified needs

•Support peer moderated video gaming groups as part of DigiDAD Gaming where relevant

3. Induction, onboarding and milestones

•Ensure every young dad is effectively inducted onto the NEYDL service, completing key onboarding steps and baseline self-evaluation measures

•Track and record progress against key milestones throughout the support journey, in line with NEYDL’s evaluation framework

•Ensure all relevant data is recorded accurately and on time in NEYDL’s data management system

4. Budget and targets

•Take ownership of allocated project budgets, monitoring expenditure and liaising with the Programme Manager (Commissioned Services) and Finance Officer as required

•Work proactively to achieve agreed referral rate targets, taking responsibility for building pathways and relationships that generate consistent referrals

•Contribute to the preparation of funder reports under the oversight of the Programme Manager and Fundraiser, providing accurate data and case study material

5. Specialism

•Take on a designated area of specialism within NEYDL, agreed with the Senior Leadership Team (for example, volunteering, safeguarding or environmental programmes)

7. Monitoring and evaluation

•Support the effective recording, monitoring and reporting of programme performance via NEYDL’s data management system and evaluation framework

•Comply with all monitoring, evaluation and reporting requirements, both internal and funder-related

•Support the work of NEYDL’s research partners and independent evaluators as required

8. Collaboration and partnerships

•Work in partnership with key stakeholders in Tees Valley to improve the service offer for young dads, including Family Hub teams, social care, health, housing, education and voluntary sector organisations

•Build referral pathways and maintain strong working relationships with local services and networks

•Develop and build effective relationships with principal stakeholders, supporters and referral partners

9. Advocacy and engagement

•Represent NEYDL at external events and meetings to raise awareness of the service and influence other organisations

•Promote, campaign and advocate with and on behalf of young men, ensuring NEYDL continues to be a leading voice for positive change

•Work proactively to enable young dads to influence the design and delivery of the service, including supporting their participation in community leadership programmes

•Support the charity’s communications and engagement activity, including contributing content to annual reports, social media and local media

Delivery Manager

£40,000 - £46,000 per annum dependant on relevant skills and experience.

Location – Home-based with regular travel across a designated region (North of England and the South/South East of England) and to our office as required.  We are currently recruiting Delivery Managers to cover designated geographical regions across the North of England and the South/South East of England. As a Delivery Manager, you'll lead the development of a diverse portfolio of community sports facility projects from initial concept through to funding approval. Working closely with local authorities, County FAs, football clubs, schools, community organisations and funding partners, you'll identify opportunities, shape high-quality projects and ensure they deliver lasting community impact.

You'll oversee community engagement, assess project feasibility, prepare funding recommendations and work alongside our Technical Project Managers to ensure projects are strategically aligned, financially viable and ready for successful delivery. This is a varied role that combines project development, stakeholder engagement and strategic relationship management, offering the opportunity to make a real difference to communities across England.

The Fundraising Assistant will help plan and deliver high-quality print and digital communications that recruit new supporters, engage existing donors, and promote a range of ways to give, including regular giving, gifts in Wills, and DIY fundraising.

About you

Experience / Qualifications:

· Educated to degree level or able to demonstrate relevant transferable experience in fundraising, marketing, communications, administration or a related field.

· Experience supporting projects or campaigns within fundraising, marketing, communications or events, either through paid employment, volunteering or placements.

· Experience working collaboratively as part of a team to deliver activities to agreed deadlines.

· Experience following administrative processes, managing multiple priorities and maintaining accurate records.

· Experience using Microsoft Office and confidence learning to use new systems and digital platforms. Experience of working with databases or CRM systems would be an advantage.

You will be out in churches and communities across London and the home counties, building new relationships, strengthening existing high-value support, and inspiring churches to give, act and pray with Christian Aid.

You will identify and approach prospective churches, pick up the phone to book meetings, speak confidently in church services and local gatherings, and make compelling asks that lead to increased giving and deeper engagement.

This is a remote team to facilitate post holders to be proactively present in local church communities. Much of your impact will come from being out and about: visiting churches, meeting clergy and volunteers, attending local events, speaking at services, and building relationships face to face. You should expect regular travel across London and the home counties, including some evenings and weekends.

We are looking for someone who is energised by being out in the community, not someone looking for a primarily desk-based role.

In this role, success will mean:

• building a strong pipeline of churches and groups with the potential to support Christian Aid;
• securing meetings, speaking opportunities and invitations into church spaces;
• inspiring churches to increase their giving, particularly around appeals and key fundraising moments;
• strengthening relationships with current high-value church supporters so they feel known, thanked and encouraged;
• equipping volunteers and local champions to extend Christian Aid’s reach;
• using insight, data and local knowledge to prioritise the relationships with greatest potential.

A significant part of this role will be proactive new relationship-building. You will not only respond to churches already connected with Christian Aid; you will identify new opportunities, approach churches and leaders, and work creatively to open doors for giving, fundraising, campaigning and prayer.

You might come from community fundraising, church engagement, major donor engagement, sales, business development, volunteer mobilisation or a church-facing role with clear fundraising experience.

You will need to be confident talking with churches, meeting ambitious targets, comfortable making asks for financial support, and motivated by helping local communities turn faith, generosity and concern for global justice into practical action.
