The Role 

The Finance Officer is responsible for delivering accurate, timely and robust financial administration to support the organisation’s operations, governance, and longterm financial sustainability. 

You will manage the daytoday finance function, maintain financial controls, support budget monitoring, and ensure compliance with charity finance requirements.

Working closely with the Director of Finance and Operations, you will support financial planning, reporting and forecasting, while ensuring our financial systems, processes and documentation remain wellstructured and up to date. 

This role is ideal for someone with strong numeracy, attention to detail and a commitment to excellent financial stewardship. 

Responsibilities 

Financial Management 

• Maintain accurate, uptodate financial records and ledgers 

• Prepare and process invoices, income logs and credit control 

• Manage daytoday banking including payment runs and bank reconciliations 

• Process staff and volunteer expense claims in line with policy 

• Support monthly management accounts preparation 

• Assist with yearend accounts, audit preparation and financial statements 

• Monitor grant income and expenditure, ensuring compliance with funder conditions 

• Support cashflow monitoring and forecasting 

• Support with contract key performance indicators 

• Maintain financial policies, procedures and financial controls 

• Liaise with suppliers, contractors and service providers regarding financial matters 

Budgeting & Reporting 

• Support the Director of Finance and Operations in preparing annual budgets 

• Provide financial updates and reports for internal teams and project leads 

• Track project and programme expenditure against budgets 

• Produce financial reports for board papers and committees when required 

• Assist with scenario modelling and organisational planning 

Governance Support (FinanceRelated) 

• Provide administrative and financial information for the Audit & Risk Committee 

• Maintain financerelated governance documentation and registers 

• Support financial compliance including HMRC requirements and Companies House returns (where relevant) 

Support with income generation 

• Work with the Director of Evidence and Improvement to identify tender opportunities via a weekly funding monitor and framework applications 

• Maintain and administer a cross-organisational income generation tracker.

• Diarise fundraising meetings, co-ordinate agendas and circulate actions after meetings. 

Supporting our membership and partnership schemes 

• Support with membership and partnership engagement, stewardship, renewals, invoicing, support and retention.

• Work with other members of the Membership Working Group to take a lead in the team on maintaining, updating and improving member and partner records on our CRM system (Hubspot) and Sharepoint, and support others to do the same. 

Systems & Process Management 

• Maintain finance systems (e.g., accounting software, payment systems) 

• Support improvements to financial workflows and processes 

• Ensure financial documents, contracts and records are stored securely and in line with policy 

• Help troubleshoot financial system issues and support staff using them

Our approach to hybrid working 

We recognise the importance of coming together regularly, in-person, as a team, so we can share learnings and spend social time with each other. We also recognise that people need flexibility, and that homeworking enables focused work and can fit well in people’s lives. 

We ask all staff to take part in pre-arranged team meetings which take place every six weeks in our office space. We also might ask you to meet in-person with members of your team from time to time, or to be available for face-to- face meetings with clients and partners where this enhances the work. 

We assume that this would usually not amount to more than one day per fortnight for people who work full time.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Salesforce Administrator to play a key role in the next phase of our organisation-wide Salesforce rollout. Having successfully implemented Salesforce for donor management, we are now expanding the platform to support our international field operations.

This organisation is the only national charity supporting people living with lupus and those who care for them. They hold an ambition for a world where people with lupus can live full and active lives. As the Fundraising & Stewardship Officer, you will be responsible for supporting fundraising and supporter engagement across all income streams. This will involve supporting the delivery of fundraising campaigns, excellent supporter engagement to ensure retention and acquisition, and ensuring fundraising data and reports are accurate. 

This person will have some experience across fundraising already, and ideally, knowledge of community fundraising and managing fundraising databases. They will be confident working in a small team to achieve team income, but also be able to work autonomously to achieve impact. 

This is a permanent role, that is 26 hours per week and offering a salary of £31,000 FTE. It will have hybrid working of 1 day per week in their Essex office.

Purpose of Role:

The Centre Manager is responsible for the effective leadership and management of Ormside Mill Residential Centre (ORC), including all Health and Safety, estate management, operations and bookings. Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management

• To support the CEO in the delivery of our mission, in line with our values and ambition.
• Oversee daily operations of Ormside Mill Residential Centre, ensuring high service standards and smooth handover/takeover procedures.
• Line manage staff associated with the centre, such as the grounds keeper, housekeeper and finance assistant.

Safety, Quality and Compliance

Qualifications & Technical Competence

• Current First Aid qualification or commitment to obtain within 3 months
• Relevant qualification in youth work, education, or a related field, with a focus on residential and youth centre management.
• Experience of working within AALA or similar regulatory frameworks.
• L3 Safeguarding qualification working with young people or commitment to obtain within 1 month

Experience

• Proven experience in developing and ensuring the quality of programmes and activities within residential centres.
• Excellent communication, IT, and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with staff, volunteers, and external partners.
• Proven ability to work independently and lead an effective team.
• Experience of risk management and developing safe systems of work in residential and youth settings.
• Experience of working with young people from diverse backgrounds, including those facing disadvantage or additional barriers.
• Experience using data systems to manage bookings, track maintenance, and monitor programme outcomes.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Media and Communications Officer to join our team at Endometriosis UK and help us make a real difference for the 1.5 million in the UK with the disease. This is a crucial, busy and varied role working closely with the Head of Communications and Campaigns to raise awareness and increase the visibility of endometriosis and Endometriosis UK. You will be working as part of a small but ambitious communications and campaigns team with a strong commitment to raising awareness and achieving real change to help those living with endometriosis and menstrual health conditions.

The role will be ideal for a proactive, forward-thinking, and highly organised communications professional who is comfortable with multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. The postholders priorities will range from being the first point of contact for media enquiries to drafting media statements to respond to Government announcements that could impact the lives of those affected by endometriosis. You’ll be able to identify news stories, opportunities, and effectively pitch ideas to high profile media outlets, and have experience in working with case studies and celebrities to share their stories with the media.

At Endometriosis UK, we’re lucky to work with incredible volunteers with lived experience of endometriosis, who have important and compelling stories to tell.

You’ll be experienced or have a passion for working with case studies to bring their stories to life – and build and nurture relationships with case studies and high profile ambassadors to ensure that those with lived experience are at the heart of our communications.

You’ll be a born storyteller with excellent project coordination skills; able to meet tight deadlines and often last-minute media requests.

We are looking for someone who brings fresh ideas to the table, and will be able to work with teams across the organisation to support the organisations communications outputs – this could include supporting with written materials and publications, drafting copy for the website, or producing compelling newsletter content. 

Your work will play a crucial role in supporting the endometriosis community and delivering on our ambitious 2025 -2030 strategy.

About you:

The Special Events Manager is an exciting role at MDUK, that will sit within the Fundraising team.

You'll develop and deliver Muscular Dystrophy UK’s exciting Special Events portfolio.

You'll be working closely with the Associate Director of High Value Engagement

You'll have direct line management of the Special Events Officers to achieve agreed objectives and fundraising targets. 

You'll be working collaboratively within the High Value Engagement team to identify prospects from Special Events that can be stewarded to create long term high value relationships across the organisation.
