As Poppy Appeal Manager for London Poppy Day & Partnerships, you’ll take ownership of the planning and delivery of a large-scale, high-profile event that brings together volunteers, partners and supporters across the capital. We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused and confident managing complex projects with multiple moving parts. You will be contracted to our Haig House hub with a minimum expectation of two days per week working in person at the hub and flexibility for working remotely/at home when not on site. This role also requires travel to our Aylesford, Kent warehouse. This will be counted as your working day in the office that week. Please be aware a full UK driving licence is required for this role.

You will be contracted to our London Haig House hub with a minimum expectation of two days per week working in person at the hub and flexibility for working remotely/at home when not on site.

Carer Wellbeing Workers on the Helpline focus on registration and ‘Tier 1’ conversation model using active listening skills to identify any most pressing need before referring/signposting onwards.

Key Responsibilities
• Work within a team to provide carer registration and support to carers via a variety of methods (phone, email, online chat) following the ‘Tier 1’ conversation model – addressing only the most pressing need before referring/signposting onwards, including referrals to our Community and Health Teams.
• Supported by a Shift Manager, respond with a professional, time-limited and informed service for carers who contact the helpline for a variety of reasons and who may be distressed or in need of safeguarding support.
• Provide guidance to professionals outside of the organisation, answering queries about carer’s support or related areas.
• Follow Carers Support West Sussex processes to record activities on in house database systems. Accurately record all interventions on CSWS Client Record Management System to enable timely and informative reports on the services provided.
• Use a range of outcome-based tools to evidence your work and as a framework to support carers to create a personal plan to identify and achieve positive change. Demonstrate the impact the service has made through feedback surveys, case studies and collating general feedback.
• Focus on outcomes for the carers, appropriately triaging and signposting them to relevant services making dynamic decisions about the suitable pathway for a carer. Work closely with colleagues to ensure carers receive timely support.
• Provide mentoring and support to volunteers who work within the team to provide services to carers.
• Promote the principles of Think Carer across all networks and proactively identify carers and opportunities through partnership working, outreach, community connections and networking, promoting carers as expert partners in care.

This is a brand new role, created as part of our Five-Year Strategy, and it's an opportunity to shape something from the ground up. You'll carry out guest assessments and triage, develop personalised support plans, and work with individuals experiencing homelessness, mental ill health, financial hardship, addiction, and more - connecting them with the right support and walking alongside them on their journey toward stability and hope.
Based at our community centre in the heart of Richmond (a short walk from the train and bus stations), you'll also travel across the borough to our Foodbank satellite sites. You'll work within a supportive multi-agency framework, collaborating with colleagues, volunteers, partner organisations, and specialist services.

Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease which is uncommon, complex and poorly understood. It affects the immune system and can cause lasting damage to the kidneys, skin, heart, lungs and/or brain. This organisation is the only national charity supporting people living with lupus and those that care for them. They hold an ambition for a world where people with lupus can live full and active lives and work hard to empower people by providing information about lupus and offering support so their voices are heard and their condition diagnosed and managed effectively.
This is an exciting new role for the organisation which will focus on engaging with communities and recruiting and training volunteers to deliver peer support services for those living with lupus. As Community Services Coordinator you will work as part of a small, tight-knit team, and will facilitate co-production sessions with stakeholders across the lupus community, enabling beneficiaries to design and shape community-based services. The role will involve providing direct support to service users, producing regular reports, and supporting and managing volunteers to provide service resourcing. The organisation is particularly interested in developing their support offering across Northern Ireland and require someone who understands the health landscape and is confident to engage with a range of stakeholders to develop their offering.
This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact across the lupus community.
