Gaia House Operations Lead (Part-Time, 28 Hours)

Contract type: Permanent, part-time, non-residential position
Location: Gaia House, West Ogwell, Devon
Hours: 28 hours per week (0.8 FTE) over 4 days
Salary & Benefits: £38,000 to £43,000 FTE (£30,400 to £34,400 pro rata), depending on experience, plus pension contributions and a range of family-friendly, compassionate leave and wellbeing benefits. Contribution to relocation expenses may be available for the successful candidate.

Join Gaia House as our Operations Lead

We are seeking an experienced Operations Lead to play a central role in the effective day-to-day running of Gaia House, one of Europe's largest silent meditation retreat centres. This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative and people-focused manager to provide operational leadership, support staff and residential community members, and help ensure an exceptional retreat experience for all who visit Gaia House.

About the Role

As Operations Lead, you will provide leadership across the operational functions of the organisation and work closely with the Director, staff team and residential community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the day-to-day operational management of Gaia House
  • Supervising and supporting staff across multiple service areas
  • Overseeing retreat operations and ensuring a high-quality visitor experience
  • Coordinating household, kitchen and maintenance functions
  • Supporting the residential community and fostering positive working relationships
  • Deputising for the Director when required
