Job description

Supporter Engagement & Events Officer

Oasis UK

Hours: Part time, 20 hours per week (0.5fte)

Location: Hybrid

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £16,358 per annum (£32,717 for 1 FTE)

We’re looking for a part-time Supporter Engagement & Events Officer (0.5 FTE) to help us grow our supporter base and create exciting opportunities for people to connect with and get involved in the work of Oasis.

You’ll be responsible for developing and delivering engaging events, campaigns and supporter experiences that reach new audiences and deepen our relationships with existing supporters. From fundraising and challenge events to community campaigns and volunteering opportunities, you’ll help create meaningful ways for people to participate – and clear pathways for them to stay involved.

This is a great role for someone who is creative, highly organised and great with people. You’ll enjoy bringing ideas to life, building relationships and creating experiences that inspire people to become part of something bigger.

Duties Include;

·         Planning and delivering engaging supporter and fundraising events.

·         Developing new and creative events and activities that broaden our reach and attract new audiences.

·         Building an annual programme of engagement opportunities, campaigns and events.

·         Developing fundraising and awareness campaigns that can be activated across Oasis communities, workplaces, schools and partner networks.

·         Working with our Communications Team to promote campaigns and events across email, social media, web, print and other channels.

·         Creating compelling supporter materials, case studies and calls to action that bring the work and impact of Oasis to life.

·         Coordinating colleagues, volunteers, venues, suppliers and external partners to deliver high-quality events and experiences.

·         Creating opportunities for existing donors, supporters and partners to become more actively involved in Oasis.

·         Helping turn initial participation into longer-term supporter relationships.

·         Reviewing the performance of events and campaigns and using what we learn to strengthen future activity.

You could be successful in this role if you:

·         Have experience in supporter engagement, fundraising, events, marketing or communications, ideally within a charity or purpose-led organisation.

·         Have experience of planning and delivering events, campaigns or other public-facing activity.

·         Are creative and enjoy finding new ways to engage and inspire people.

·         Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and are confident building relationships with a wide range of people.

·         Are highly organised and able to coordinate different people, suppliers, activities and deadlines.

·         Can manage competing priorities and take ownership of projects from idea through to delivery.

·         Are self-motivated, proactive and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.

·         Are confident using Microsoft Office and digital communication platforms.

·         Share our commitment to the ethos and values of Oasis and want to use your skills to help create positive change.

Please be aware that some events and engagement activity may take place outside normal working hours. The post-holder will therefore need to be willing to undertake occasional evening and weekend work, with time off in lieu in accordance with Oasis policy.
