The prospect research manager will be responsible for defining, implementing and delivering the prospect research strategy, and will lead the prospect research team and line manage two part-time prospect research officers and a part-time prospect research assistant. They will also play a leading role in fundraising data processes within the team and further developing the CRM functionalities with a strong focus on data and insight to guide team activity. They will provide insight, analysis and forecasts using bespoke research and data analytics to support the charity's planning, activity, performance, reporting and growth, and will lead their team to work collaboratively across the charity's wider team to conduct due diligence.
The selected candidate will have significant experience of managing a prospect research function and will have a thorough detailed knowledge of the voluntary sector. We are seeking an exceptional Director to lead the organisation into its next phase of growth and impact. Reporting to the Board of Trustees, you will provide strategic leadership, operational oversight and income generation to ensure the charity’s long-term sustainability.
This is a hands-on role, combining high-level strategy with day-to-day delivery. You will act as the public face of the charity, strengthen partner and donor relationships, and lead across fundraising, communications, operations and team development.

About Wythall Animal Sanctuary
Since 1968, Wythall Animal Sanctuary has provided safety, care and second chances to animals in need.
We are an independent, non-destruct animal sanctuary with a proud history, a strong local reputation and a deeply committed community of employees, volunteers, supporters and donors. From our multi-acre site near Solihull, we rescue, rehabilitate and rehome and provide sanctuary to dogs, cats, rabbits and ponies.

About the role
As Head of Income Generation at Wythall Animal Sanctuary, you will lead the development and delivery of a bold, sustainable fundraising and income strategy that supports the charity’s ambitious 10-year transformation into a modern, multi-species Community Campus.
Working closely with the CEO, you will diversify and grow income across individual giving, legacies, community fundraising, grants, corporate partnerships and commercial opportunities, while strengthening supporter relationships, improving digital engagement and embedding data-led decision-making. This is a strategic and hands-on role for someone who can turn ambition into practical plans, build long-term income resilience and help protect the Sanctuary’s trusted community identity as it enters an exciting new chapter.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for an experienced income generation or fundraising leader with a strong track record of growing sustainable income and developing multi-stream fundraising strategies. You will bring strategic thinking, commercial awareness and a hands-on approach, with the ability to turn plans into measurable results across areas such as individual giving, corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations, community fundraising and legacy giving.

This new full time role has been created to support increasing demand and offers the opportunity to contribute directly to projects that deliver lasting community impact. Purpose of the Role: To provide effective business support and development assistance to the charity while managing community grants from application through to award, monitoring and reporting. Key Responsibilities:
Business Support
· Support the day-to-day operational effectiveness of the charity.
