Role Summary 

The main function of the Careers Coordinator (Work Experience) role is to develop, support and deliver Into Film’s Screen Careers Work Experience programmes. Screen Careers covers film, TV, animation, VFX and games. The postholder will work closely with the Careers Lead, Industry Partnerships Lead and other members of Into Film staff who conceive, create and deliver our Screen Careers Programme.

The Careers Coordinator will primarily manage work experience programmes across the four nations of the UK (outside of the ScreenWorks programme in Northern Ireland) but will also support the careers team with various other deliverables across the programme including but not limited to events with young people, development of resources and training for careers professionals, supporting development of ‘direct to young people’ content, and exhibiting at careers conferences UK-wide. The role will have a focus on reaching those young people who are underserved and under-represented.

Main Responsibilities:

• As directed by the Careers Lead, support the implementation of the Screen Careers Work Experience programmes throughout the UK alongside local activation coordinators.
• Liaise with industry professionals across the four nations to co-deliver work experience programmes.
• Create documentation and resources that can be adapted per location to support work experience programmes.
• Manage a budget for work experience programmes.
• Support the Careers Lead and Industry Partnerships Lead to manage stakeholders and industry partner relationships utilising Salesforce, our Customer Relationship Management tool.
• Monitor and evaluate the programme utilising internal and external feedback to help shape future Screen Careers annual programme plans.
• Contribute to quarterly reports to funders and the Into Film board.
• Assist the Careers Lead and UK-wide activation team to plan and deliver Screen Careers events.
• Support the Learning Content Creation team with the development of Screen Careers resources, training and courses.
• With support from the Safeguarding and Child Protection team, manage the safeguarding and consent processes for work experience programmes.
• Any other reasonable duties assigned by Into Film.

General Responsibilities:

• Commitment to quality internally and in all dealings with Into Film’s stakeholders including teachers, children and young people, industry partners, funders, supporters, parents and carers, and members of the public.

Person Specification:

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience, knowledge and understanding of the careers education, information, advice and guidance landscape for 11–18-year-olds across the four nations of the UK.
• At least one year's experience working on work experience programmes in education settings or the screen industries.
• Understanding and experience of what careers professionals and educators need in order to support young people to explore the breath of opportunities in the screen industries, particularly those currently underrepresented in the industry.
• Experience, knowledge and understanding of the screen industries across the UK.
• Understanding of how AI may impact careers for young people.
• Organisational project management skills including a particularly strong eye for attention to detail, strong communication style and the ability to juggle multiple projects.
• Strong collaborative skills working across multiple teams and disciplines.
• Strong evaluation and reporting skills.
• Experience of event management and high-profile engagement.
• Knowledge of fundraising and how Into Film’s careers work could feed into successful applications.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• A love and knowledge of film.

All Into Film staff work in a hybrid pattern, combining home working with attendance at their local and national office when required, along with some travel across the UK, as appropriate to the role.

The Woodland Trust is looking for a Fundraising Development Officer to join the Fundraising Development team and play a key role in raising vital income to support nature recovery across South West England. You'll build and manage relationships with major donors, secure funding through grants and legacy giving, and help deliver ambitious fundraising plans for projects, including the South West Rainforest Recovery Treescape.

This role is advertised as full-time, 37.5 hours per week.

The Role:

• Manage and grow a portfolio of major donors and prospects to secure significant philanthropic income, improve donor loyalty, and promote blended and legacy giving.
• Lead fundraising strategy and delivery for the Rainforest Recovery Treescape initiative, securing funding and acting as its fundraising champion.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, partners and internal stakeholders to maximise restricted and unrestricted fundraising opportunities.
• Develop compelling funding proposals, cases for support and other fundraising materials to secure income for regional projects.
• Work collaboratively across the South West and wider Woodland Trust to develop and deliver fundraising plans supporting nature recovery, woodland creation, outreach and land acquisition.
• Support and maximise fundraising events across the South West and UK to engage donors and generate income.
• Secure funding from regional grant-makers and community funding programmes, including local authorities, lottery and environmental funding sources.
• Collaborate with operational, grants and regional teams to identify funding opportunities and submit high-quality bids aligned with regional priorities.
• This is a homebased role, requiring regular travel to locations within the South West landscape, sometimes to remote locations. You would be expected to live within reasonable travelling distance of your area of responsibility. Occasional travel to regional offices and overnight stays will be required.
• This role does not come with a company vehicle, however after a 9-month period in-post, we will review vehicle business use to see if the post-holder is reaching the eligibility criteria as stated in our Company Vehicle Policy.  If the post-holder complies with those criteria, with sign off from our Facilities Team, a vehicle will be sourced and provided. In this role you’ll take the lead in managing Samaritans’ communications and media activity relating to rail suicide prevention. You will manage the delivery of our important Small Talk Saves Lives campaign and other targeted awareness campaigns. You’ll also lead on media relations for our rail programme, identifying opportunities to ensure Samaritans’ is visible in relevant media stories.

You will have experience of:

• Planning, delivering, and evaluating high-quality learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, supporting children’s individual development, curiosity, and wellbeing.

About the role

This role leads that portfolio. The heart of the job is excellent delivery: schemes that are well designed and well run, and that make a real difference to the people they reach. You will work closely with the Fellowship, whose expertise and generosity run through the whole portfolio, and you will make sure the schemes serve the whole of the medical sciences community (across the devolved nations and the regions, in industry as much as academia), not just those already inside the most established institutions. And science is global, so this work is too: the portfolio draws on evidence and partnerships from around the world, and the mentoring and networks around the people we support reach well beyond the UK.

Today much of the portfolio's focus is research talent and careers. That will always be a substantial part of the portfolio, but over time we plan to expand it further. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will share in the leadership of the Academy as a whole, working closely with the other directors: the Chief Operating Officer and the Directors of Policy, Communications and Engagement, and Translation and Enterprise. The relationship with Translation and Enterprise matters especially. That team will shape new partnerships and initiatives that your team is best placed to deliver, so the two of you will work in very close partnership.

What we are looking for

These are the six areas we will explore with candidates. They match the six parts of the role above, so you can read straight across — and your supporting statement can follow the same structure if that helps. We do not expect anyone to arrive with every part fully formed, but the strongest candidates will be convincing across most of them.

1. Excellent delivery

A strong track record of running grant schemes or of significant programmatic delivery. Much of this is operational: holding an annual cycle to time and budget, catching problems early and getting stuck things moving again. It is also about making sure the portfolio adds up to a coherent whole rather than a collection of separate schemes, with the governance discipline — sound contracts, clean compliance, rigorous oversight — that sits behind delivery done well.

2. Building partnerships and negotiating well

A track record of building and sustaining partnerships with funders, delivery organisations and industry, and the skill and pace to turn them into agreements where appropriate. We will want to hear how you have handled a complex negotiation and brought it to a close. The Chief Operating Officer leads the Academy’s income strategy, so we will also explore how you develop partners in concert with colleagues.

3. Range and credibility across the community

This role runs from Fellows (some of the most eminent scientists in the country) to researchers at the very start of their careers, and from government and funders to industry partners. We are looking for someone with the range to work well across all of them, and the credibility to be taken seriously at every level. We will also explore how you have widened access and drawn talent in from beyond the usual places.

4. A focus on impact

A commitment to looking at what difference the portfolio you lead makes. We are looking for someone who treats evaluation as a source of learning and uses what it shows to decide what the Academy should do next, keeping sight of the people and patients the work is for.

An exciting opportunity for a Head of Health Information and Support has arisen at World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF).

World Cancer Research Fund champions the latest and most authoritative scientific research from around the world on cancer prevention and survival through diet, weight and physical activity, so that we can empower people to make informed lifestyle choices to reduce their cancer risk.

We are seeking an inspiring, strategic and collaborative leader to shape and deliver WCRF’s Health Information and Support strategy across three core audiences: the general public, health professionals and cancer survivors. The team turns WCRF’s scientific evidence on cancer prevention and survival into practical, accessible information, training and support based on our Cancer Prevention Recommendations. The postholder will lead and develop the team, ensuring its work is innovative, evidence-based, high quality and demonstrably effective.

Working across Science, Policy, Fundraising, Communications and Engagement, you will create new ways to share our health information, improve existing resources and services, and build impactful partnerships. You will ensure that public and patient insight shapes our work from cancer prevention to survivorship, strengthen programmes for health professionals and make effective use of digital channels. Responsibilities include contributing to our Medical Education programme, participating in working and steering groups and speaking at national conferences, networking at events, engaging corporate audiences and acting as a spokesperson in broadcast and print media. Ultimately, you will help establish WCRF as the go-to source of information and support on the links between cancer, nutrition and lifestyle.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of implementing strategy, developing business and operational plans, and leading high-performing teams.

International Nepal Fellowship (INF) is a Christian health and development charity. Since 1952 they have had a huge impact serving the most disadvantaged people and communities in Nepal.

RCJ Advice is an exceptional Citizens Advice and Law Centre delivering national legal advice services, both frontline and second tier, to people who are unable to afford legal representation and advice. We are based within the Royal Courts of Justice, the Central London Family Court and community sites across London, where we deliver local Citizens Advice services.

This role offers the opportunity to join the Finding Legal Options for Women survivors (FLOWS) team.

As part of the FLOWS team, the postholder will support survivors of domestic abuse and the frontline professionals who work with them by providing information, advice and guidance on domestic abuse matters and available legal options. Support will be delivered via telephone, email and in-person appointments, helping survivors to understand their rights and access appropriate legal remedies.

The role will contribute to the delivery of the FLOWS service by reviewing CourtNav applications, providing initial triage, information and signposting through the FLOWS support line, and delivering dedicated legal advice appointments to survivors of domestic abuse. The postholder will also assist with casework under supervision.
