Job description

The For Baby’s Sake Trust is seeking an experienced and values-driven Chief Finance Officer to join our Senior Leadership Team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in a nationally recognised charity working to break cycles of domestic abuse and give babies the best start in life.

Reporting to the CEO, you will provide strategic financial leadership, ensuring the organisation remains financially sustainable, well-governed, and positioned for future growth. Alongside overseeing all aspects of financial management, budgeting, forecasting, audit and compliance, you will contribute to organisational strategy, business development, strategic fundraising support and risk management.

We are looking for a qualified accountant with strong commercial acumen, significant leadership experience, and a passion for using their expertise to create meaningful social impact. You will share our commitment to trauma-informed practice, collaboration, and achieving better outcomes for babies, children and families.

This is a part-time, permanent role reporting to the CEO. The role offers the flexibility of working from home, with occasional travel as required. We are also open to those operating as fractional CFOs. Salary details will be confirmed in the recruitment pack.

We are committed to supporting our staff through a benefits package that promotes wellbeing, flexibility and professional development, including:

  • 26 days’ annual leave plus 8 public holidays, rising to 28 days after 2 years’ service and 30 days after 5 years’ service FTE.
  • 2 additional Rest and Reflect days each year FTE.
  • Employer pension contributions of up to 5%, matched to the employee’s own contribution.
  • Maternity and paternity leave provision.
  • Access to an Employee Assistance Programme, including confidential counselling and mental health support.
  • Flexible and remote working arrangements, with occasional travel as required.
  • A strong commitment to staff wellbeing, reflective, trauma-informed practice, supervision, learning and professional development.

To apply, please submit your completed application form and an up-to-date CV via the 'Apply' button by 11.59pm on 1st November 2026.
