The Communications team is responsible for informing, inspiring and engaging the public by showcasing Alzheimer’s Research UK’s work, impact and mission across all channels. We lead the charity’s media and strategic communications activity—ensuring consistent, accurate and compelling storytelling that supports research, fundraising and organisational priorities.
The Communications Assistant, Research provides operational, administrative and content support to the Research Communications function. The role helps produce accessible, accurate research materials and supports digital, social and internal research communications.

Key Responsibilities:
Delivery & Production
· Support development of presentations, lay summaries, speaker briefings and research‑focused materials.
· Upload and maintain research content on ARUK‑managed websites including blogs, research updates and news stories.
· Assist in creating multimedia science content (graphics, videos, simple infographics).
· Provide copywriting and proofreading support for research communications outputs.
Research & Information Support
· Assist Research Communications Officers with delivery of communications around research activities, updates and programme milestones.
· Gather information from researchers and partners to help shape accurate and engaging research narratives.
· Support maintenance of research communications tools and trackers including content libraries and messaging documents.
Cross‑Team Support & Collaboration
· Help prepare updates for research‑facing social channels and digital content as directed.
· Work with Content, Policy, Press and Digital colleagues to support aligned research messaging.
Administration, Planning & Coordination
· Provide administrative and coordination support to ensure smooth delivery of research communications work.
Quality, Accuracy & Compliance
· Ensure accurate, accessible and high‑quality research content across channels.
· Champion equity, diversity and inclusion in research storytelling.

ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled writer and communicator to tell the stories of SAT-7 and the people of the MENA in fresh and powerful ways. You’ll be working in a fast-paced, creative environment as part of the Communications & Marketing Team, delivering high quality content across a range of platforms. You’d be writing engaging podcast and video scripts, powerful viewer testimonies, inspiring articles for our website or print magazine and attention-grabbing email copy. You’ll be one of the main points of contact with our international office and Middle Eastern TV studios, gathering and repurposing impactful stories and resourcing the wider UK team.
All of this would support our 5-year strategic outcomes:
1. To see an increased and actively engaged support base giving regularly to sustain the work of SAT-7, so that SAT-7 UK is raising a sustainable £4M with over 3,500 donors.
2. Supporters and funders have a deepened understanding of the challenges faced by Christians and the people of the MENA region, and impact of SAT-7, to create opportunities to pray, engage and partner for change.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Write engaging content for a range of platforms, including print and digital, such as articles, scripts and email copy
- Prepare episode templates, invite and research guests for the ‘Around the Table’ podcast with captivating and informative topics through highlighting regional issues and Christian context
- Assist the Senior Editor in writing copy and copy editing for prayer resources, such as monthly 7 Ways to Pray and seasonal campaigns at Lent and Advent, that will encourage prayer engagement, raise awareness of SAT-7’s work and expand SAT-7’s support base
- Show how God is at work in the MENA, and mobilise increased prayer for the issues affecting different people groups and MENA Christians
- Inform supporters and the wider public about the context, news, challenges and opportunities for the MENA region and Church
- Assist the Senior Editor in the production of copy for Insight magazine, writing effective and inspiring copy to demonstrate the impact of SAT-7 and inspire supporters to take action
- Repurpose written content from SAT-7’s international office for use across a range of platforms, and adapt and upload articles to the SAT-7 UK website
- Gather news and contextual information to generate content for flagship supporter publications, and support other teams as required (e.g. for events, campaigns, appeals, church presentations, prayer updates and reports)
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure consistent messaging, branding and tone of voice and that content conforms to SAT-7 security, communication and style guides for a range of different audiences
- Communicate sensitively and positively about the MENA region and the work of SAT-7
- Assist the Communications & Marketing Manager and other colleagues as required
- Operate at all times within relevant statutory requirements and guidelines, following best practice recommendations wherever possible, and especially ensure compliance with the Fundraising Regulator Code and GDPR legislation

We’re looking for a Supporter Journey Lead to join our Supporter Experience team.
This is a key role in shaping how supporters experience Help for Heroes across different journeys, touchpoints and moments that matter.
You’ll work with teams across Commercial to map, develop and improve supporter engagement journeys, turning strategy, insight and campaign learning into practical plans that strengthen relevance, supporter experience and long-term value.
About the Role
As Supporter Journey lead, you’ll lead the mapping, development and ongoing improvement of supporter engagement journeys across Commercial.
You’ll work with product owners, delivery teams and enabling colleagues to understand current journeys, define target journeys, identify pain points and opportunities, and turn strategy, audience insight and campaign learning into clear, practical plans.
In this role, you will:
- Map and maintain current and target supporter journeys across Commercial, defining key stages, touchpoints, triggers, handoffs and moments that matter.
- Run journey mapping, process discovery and improvement workshops to identify pain points, gaps, opportunities and inconsistencies.
- Work with product owners and relevant teams to define journey requirements for campaigns, communications, process changes, data capture and operational improvements.

Digital Engagement Officer Job Summary
The Digital Engagement Officer is a key member of the Digital Marketing and Engagement department and will support the day-to-day running and development of our digital channels. They will work to drive engagement, reach new audiences and provide a smooth supporter experience.
The role will be responsible for writing, editing and uploading content to our website, developing test plans to optimise conversion, analysing performance, reporting back on learnings and feeding into plans for future improvement. The postholder will also help to enhance our email programme, from growing our opted-in supporter lists to shaping email journeys and test and learn activity to strengthen our email engagement. They will additionally support the wider digital engagement team, including contributing to social media community moderation.

The Digital Communications Officer will play a key role in sharing BTO’s stories with a wide audience via digital projects. The postholder will plan, film, edit, and publish short-form videos across different platforms, including BTO’s YouTube, social media accounts and website. They will manage the image library and develop a video library, coordinate film shoots across the organisation, and train and support BTO staff and volunteers with video projects to achieve the Digital Communications Strategy.
The successful applicant will have excellent videography skills, with proven experience in the production and editing of video content, knowledge of video editing software Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent, and a good understanding of social media platforms, particularly YouTube. They will display an understanding of legal and ethical considerations in digital communications, such as copyright, and show a commitment to increasing equity, diversity, and inclusion. They will have a passion for nature with good knowledge of British birds and wider natural history, with the ability to translate BTO science into compelling videos for a range of audiences.
This position is based at our HQ in Thetford, Norfolk, although you will be able to work from home part of the time on a hybrid working regime and flexible start and finish times can also be accommodated to ensure a good work-life balance.

You'll be a core member of a small, proactive and talented team and will have primarily responsibility for overseeing all social media output for the organisation, as well as for website content creation and management. We are seeking a driven Marketing and Communications Officer with significant initiative and ability to influence through social digital content production.
In this role, you will execute the strategic direction of our communications, by expanding our reach through engaging, persuasive content. Using data analysis, the successful candidate will enhance engagement with the Nazareth Trust’s key audiences on our TNT supporter database.
You will support the Marketing and Communications Manager by researching and leveraging compelling stories that will engage and inspire activism and giving from our existing supporter database.
