The role:

As Risk Manager, you will be supporting our Head of Risk & Assurance in the management of risk and compliance across our global network. You will help ensure our key organisational risks are being proactively identified, managed and reported to safeguard delivery of our vision, mission and strategic aims.

Working closely with a wide range of stakeholders across a variety of geographies and cultures, you will help employees capture and consider the implications of our key organisational risks through regular engagement, oversight of our risk registers and providing targeted reporting and analysis.

With the support of our external brokers, you will also manage our MMI insurance programme and provide oversight and guidance to the wider network.

Key duties:

• Support the Head of Risk & Assurance to evolve our risk management framework in line with organisational culture and growth of the network.
• Provide ongoing guidance to our global teams on managing organisational risks.
• Plan and facilitate risk assessment sessions with teams to map and evaluate operational, financial, reputational, and security risks associated with MMI functions, projects, programmes, and fundraising.
• Analyse risk information from across the movement to produce meaningful and dynamic risk reports that are tailored to the intended audience.
• Facilitate agile reporting and escalation of emerging risks to management.
• Conduct periodic reviews of insurance coverage and brokerage within MMI and Programme Affiliates to ensure coverage remains proportionate and complete.
• Document any risks or gaps within our insurance coverage and work with the Head of Risk & Assurance to ensure they are clearly understood, escalated and responded to.
• Manage the annual renewal process for all relevant MMI policies and perform a coordination role on any changes notifiable to the insurer or insurance claims.
• Provide guidance on our Programme Affiliate insurance programmes, including providing direction on policy coverage and supporting local staff on significant claims.

With proven experience of working in a risk management role, including developing risk processes and overseeing risk registers, you will be skilled in the development of strong working relationships. You will have strong analytical skills and be confident in challenging and assimilating data to reach conclusions across a variety of functions. Excellent written and verbal communications skills are essential, and you will demonstrate integrity and a strong detail focus in when handling sensitive information.

This is a varied role and the successful applicant will drive our community and events fundraising. You will organise the Tour de Vale Bike Ride plus other fundraising events at Stoke Mandeville Stadium, source runners for a range of third-party events including the Great North Run and help them reach their fundraising targets, identify and develop opportunities for community groups and local companies to support the charity and lead and manage our schools fundraising programme.

Tuition fees:

All trainees will need to pay tuition fees unless you are a salaried trainee - salaried places are limited. Tuition fees are £9,535 for full-time study and £7,145 per year for part-time study. If you want to train as a secondary trainee teacher, you may be able to apply for funding to cover the costs of your tuition fees through a bursary or scholarship, which you would not need to pay back.

Funding:

We offer a few salaried placements, but if you do not choose a salaried teacher training course, and depending on your subject choice, you may be eligible to receive funding through a bursary or a scholarship up to £31,000, which you do not have to pay back. Philanthropy and Engagement Associate

Role Introduction

This is an exciting opportunity for an early career development professional to devise and manage an ambitious fundraising and engagement strategy for regular and annual donors thus helping to create a sustainable culture of philanthropy at Eton. 

Reporting to the Director of Development, the Philanthropy & Engagement Associate will be responsible for the execution and management of a comprehensive regular and annual giving programme, including the coordination and oversight of supporting initiatives in the areas of donor relations, development services and stewardship. 

As a crucial and integral part of the College’s development team, the Philanthropy & Engagement Associate will be an innovative and skilled development professional with demonstrable experience of best practice in regular and annual giving techniques.

Main Duties

• Work with the Director of Development and Executive Director of Communications, Engagement and Development to create and implement a highly ambitious and sustainable regular and annual giving strategy in support of the College’s short, medium, and long-term vision.

• Prepare and manage detailed plans for the execution of appeals including digital, direct mail and/or personal solicitations.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure rigorous gift management administrations systems and accurate maintenance of prospect data.
• Manage follow-up action when pledges and gifts are received including ensuring that supporters are appropriately recognised and stewarded.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Student Administration Officer will work with the Associate facing Programmes team to support the successful delivery of the upReach programme, focused on the programme operations of onboarding new Associates.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

You will contribute to upReach's mission by working with our programme team to facilitate the onboarding of new Associates.  You will be responsible for key processes and tasks on the Associate Tracking System, to enable upReach to deliver effectively and to meet objectives and key results (OKRs). These include:

• Associate Tracking System: steward applicants through the pipeline; confirm student eligibility; answering applicant and Programme Coordinator queries; track and report on pipeline progress; help Programme Coordinators with reporting on programme application progress;

• Ensuring our communications to applicants and prospective applicants are accurate and effective including email templates and call scripts;

• Assisting the student attraction team to deliver effective campaigns promoting our programmes;

• Assisting with other programme delivery activities as needed;

• Researching process improvement projects as needed.

Role Overview

As a member of the Joint Leadership Team, the post-holder will contribute to the leadership, planning and delivery of cross-team projects, helping to influence and meet the charity’s strategic objectives. Specifically, they will lead projects and programmes to deliver improvements in quality and standards of health services for people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis. In doing so, they will work closely with not only the  Director of Services & Evidence and Heald of Health Services, but also external stakeholders including health and social care organisations, academics, researchers and other charities.  The post-holder will also be actively involved in leading, supporting and developing the Health Services team.

About You

Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have experience of delivering health service projects and programmes and have come from a health services or medical charity background. You will be adept at developing operational performance metrics, strategies and objectives and have a proven track record in developing strong working relationships with external stakeholders. Whilst not essential, experience of managing and leading a team would be beneficial, as would be an awareness and knowledge of the needs of people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis.

Our Location

We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. In this role, there is plenty of scope for working from home,  although there will be times when you will need to travel to events/conferences. Project

The free Financial and Wellbeing Support Service in Epsom and Ewell combines the specialist mental health support with expert benefits and money advice from Citizens Advice Epsom & Ewell (CAEE) to support clients during a difficult time. This three-year project is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.

The charity is a mental health and emotional wellbeing charity, supporting Surrey residents since 1994 in Banstead, Elmbridge, Epsom & Ewell and Mole Valley.

Offering a variety of face-to-face and online services, available to adults (aged 16+) living in Surrey who would like to restore and/or maintain their mental and emotional wellbeing (no diagnosis needed). The services are free of charge, with no waiting list and no time limit.
