We are seeking an experienced Head of Training, Learning and Development to provide strategic leadership of APIL’s legal training and events portfolio. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive and sitting on the Senior Management Board, this role will shape and deliver a high-quality, commercially successful programme of conferences, accredited courses, webinars and in-house firm training. The postholder will be responsible for strengthening APIL’s position as a leading provider of legal education within personal injury and clinical negligence and ensuring our offer remains relevant, innovative and aligned with the needs of the legal profession.
The role involves leading and developing the Training, Learning and Development team, building strong relationships with law firms and stakeholders, and ensuring robust quality assurance across all training activity. You will use data, market insight and engagement with the sector to identify emerging training needs, create clear career-stage learning pathways and maximise income from training, sponsorship and events, while maintaining effective budgetary control.
You will be a credible senior professional with significant experience in training, learning and development, ideally within the legal sector. You will bring strong leadership and commercial skills, and be confident operating at both strategic and operational levels.

This varied role plays a key part in managing the financial, operational and data systems that underpin fundraising and alumni engagement. Westway Trust is looking for an inspiring and motivated Health & Social Care Tutor to deliver high-quality teaching to adult learners in North Kensington. You will design and deliver the Level 1 Award in Health and Social Care, supporting learners through engaging sessions, effective assessment, and tailored guidance.
The role involves preparing lessons and resources, carrying out initial assessments, tracking learner progress and attendance, and supporting learners to achieve positive outcomes. You will also contribute to the development of the adult learning programme and achieve key performance targets set by the GLA and RBKC.

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
Teaching
- Deliver high quality sessions including theory and practical demonstrations.
- Lessons are well prepared, suitable resources are developed and marking and assessment is carried out to a high standard in a timely manner (including Scheme of Work and Lesson Plans)
- Appropriate diagnostics carried out to ensure learners are on the correct programme.
- Progress is monitored and tracked through one to ones and tutorials.
- Individual Learning Plans produced for all learners and termly Progress Reviews carried out and kept up to date.
- Learner attendance and punctuality is monitored and where this falls below expectations, suitable interventions are carried out.
Administration
- Maintaining up to date course files and submitting accurate data on attendance and achievement within agreed deadlines.
- Preparing groups of learners for accredited assessment (exam or portfolio) & non accredited assessment (RARPA), marking assessments and taking part in internal moderation and/or consultation meetings with appropriate Trust staff.
- Providing feedback on appropriate documentation for example observation, IQA reports etc.
- Running end of course evaluations and writing tutor end of course reviews.
General
- To comply with any Health & Safety regulations and, in particular, be familiar with the procedure to be adopted in case of fire and or other Health and Safety concerns e.g. Risk Assessments.
- To attend and participate in meetings, including management meetings, end of term tutor meetings and Westway Trust staff meetings.
- Attending training with Westway Trust and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and keeping up to date with developments in adult learning.
Qualifications:
- A relevant qualification at Level 3 or higher in Health and Social Care or, equivalent relevant and recent experience.
- Either a full teaching qualification for working in adult learning (DTLLS, PGCE or DET) or, a willingness to work towards a teaching qualification
- Previous experience in assessing and tutoring adult health & social care learners.
- Proven experience in adult education.
- A minimum GCSE English Grade C or equivalent.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience of teaching and assessing Health and Social Care qualifications in post 16/further education or adult education.
- Experience of teaching adult learners of mixed abilities and an understanding of appropriate teaching strategies in a similar role.
- Occupational competence/experience in health and social care setting.
- Experience of assessing and recording progress, both in accredited and non-accredited learning and supporting learners.
- Knowledge and experience of working with a variety of exam boards.

Purpose
Our Immigration Team works closely with Birmingham City University (BCU) to run the Immigration Law Student Clinic, a key source of free accredited immigration advice for people in Birmingham who cannot afford legal support.
The role involves supervising students as they research and prepare legal advice, coordinating day‑to‑day clinic activity, and supporting casework within CELC’s immigration team. You will recruit, train, and mentor students, ensuring they have an excellent student experience and helping them develop practical legal skills while ensuring clients receive an excellent service.
Responsibilities
Working closely with Birmingham City University the Law Clinic Supervisor will:
- Recruit and select students for involvement in the clinic
- Undertaking inductions with new students, in line with the Law Centre's Clinic practices ,including training on CELC systems and processes
- Develop and maintain student training manuals, policies, template letters, referral forms etc.
- Assess client cases prior to allocation to students
- Manage overall clinic calendar, allocating client cases to students
- Supervise all elements of student work, providing guidance to ensure accuracy and quality of research undertaken and advice provided
- Maintain accurate records of student inductions and supervisions
- Sign-off and submittance of applications
- Advise students to access other CELC teams for legal guidance where necessary e.g. family law, employment, housing etc.
- Create a positive and nurturing environment for students to learn practical casework skills
- Monitor and report performance of the clinic to CELC and Birmingham City University

Digital Communications & Engagement Manager

We are looking for a Digital Communications and Engagement Manager to drive forward the Disabled Children's Partnership's digital presence, supporter mobilisation, and stakeholder engagement. Reporting to the Campaign Director, this role is crucial in ensuring the Partnership’s campaigns are visible, engaging, and impactful.
Delivery of our campaign objectives depends on the contributions of our members and supporters. This role will be the central point of coordination of a complex programme of activity from multiple member organisations and teams. You will deliver excellent digital communications to members, provide support for all DCP meetings, and maintain accurate plans and calendars to track activity and report on progress.
This role is a fixed‑term position (30 hours per week, worked over 4 days) until June 2027. We’re open to discussing how these hours can best work for you. Some on‑call and out‑of‑hours working may be required.

About School of Food
Set up in March 2020, Hackney School of Food (HSoF) is a food education hub on the grounds of Mandeville Primary School in Clapton, East London. Our mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of children, families, and our community by developing practical skills and confidence in food growing and cooking, from seed to spoon.
In 2023, we became a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC), and have since grown our team, strengthened our governance and expanded our facilities with the addition of a new Garden Room, increasing capacity for workshops, dining and events. We are now well-positioned to grow and diversify our income streams, which enables us to subsidise our schools and community programmes.
Role Overview
This brand-new role offers an exciting opportunity to develop and deliver Hackney School of Food’s commercial and marketing strategy, with a focus on growing key income streams including corporate engagement, paid workshops and events, and venue hire. You will shape how HSoF positions itself externally and how we grow our trading income to subsidise our food education community offer.
While this is currently a freelance role, it is not a transactional position; you’ll collaborate closely with our team, supported by and reporting to our Managing Director. This is a role for someone who can think commercially and creatively and then roll up sleeves to put strategy into action. You’ll believe in our mission and feel passionately about helping Hackney School of Food grow and thrive. Starting as a six-month contract, there is potential for the role to become longer term as the organisation grows.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Income Generation
● Work with the Managing Director to develop and deliver a clear, mission-aligned commercial and marketing strategy.
● Grow earned income streams including corporate engagement, paid workshops and events, and venue hire, helping to sustain and expand schools and community programmes.
● Help shape and refine commercial offers, including pricing and packages, ensuring they are appropriate, achievable and aligned with our values and capacity.
● Contribute to commercial planning by sharing insight on what works and areas of impact.
Relationships and bookings
● Confidently present and explain our commercial offers to key audiences in a way that reflects who we are and why our work matters.
● Proactively identify and chase opportunities for new corporate partners that align with our work.
● Guide enquiries through to bookings, encouraging repeat engagement and longer-term relationships
● Work closely with the wider team to ensure commercial offers are deliverable, well-priced and aligned with organisational capacity.
Marketing & visibility
● Drive work to grow awareness of Hackney School of Food, create compelling externally facing marketing content targeted to the right audiences, across various channels.
● Help capture and share stories, feedback and learning from our commercial activity, support consistent messaging that connects our commercial work to our social impact.
● Conceive, promote and deliver events to market our space, both online and offline.
● Monitor and report on the impact of our external comms, sharing insights with our team to help refine offers, processes and focus over time.
Your experience
Essential
● Genuine passion for Hackney School of Food’s mission and values.
● Experience in income generation, commercial activity and/or promoting events.
● Proven experience in delivering a successful marketing strategy to support income generation.
● An existing network of relationships, or the confidence and credibility to build them, across organisations, businesses or sectors aligned with food, education or social impact.
Desirable
● Experience of working in a start-up, social enterprise or in a food or education context.
● Familiarity with Hackney and East London’s community, cultural or business landscape.
● Confident managing content and organisational activity on social and digital media platforms

Outputs & Success Measures (First 6 Months – Indicative)
We recognise that Hackney School of Food is at a growth stage and that commercial income is shaped by many factors, including capacity, seasonality and market conditions. These outputs are intended as guiding success measures rather than rigid targets.
By the end of the initial six-month contract, the Commercial & Marketing Lead will have:
● Produced and agreed a clear Commercial & Marketing Delivery Plan for Hackney School of Food, setting priorities for growing our commercial income in a way that aligns with our mission.
● Refined our core commercial offers and packages (e.g. corporate away days, team volunteering, venue hire, paid public workshops), ensuring they are appealing and realistic to deliver.
● Built a healthy pipeline by identifying and actively pursuing 10–15 well-aligned commercial leads, with a focus on quality of fit as well as volume.
● Supported a meaningful increase in commercial enquiries, alongside capturing learning about what kinds of outreach, messaging and partnerships resonate most.
● Created a suite of core marketing assets for commercial activity (e.g. simple decks).
● Delivered at least two targeted promotional pushes (for example around corporate away days), testing approaches and learning what works best.
● Increased the visibility of our commercial offers across agreed channels (e.g. website, LinkedIn, email and partners), with light-touch reporting on reach.
● Supported Hackney School of Food to transition towards a higher volume of commercial bookings, strengthening operational processes and ways of working so growth is sustainable and doesn’t place undue pressure on delivery teams.
● Produced a short end-of-contract reflection summarising what’s worked well, what’s been challenging, and recommendations for the next phase of growth and investment.

Day rate: Subject to experience.
Location: We’re a place-based organisation and our team works on site in Hackney. We are open to exploring more flexible working given the freelance nature of this role but require at least 1 day per week in the office during the first three months.

Bioregional Learning Centre (BLC) is a place-based systems-change organisation rooted in South Devon. We work with communities, institutions and landscapes to grow the capacities needed for a regenerative, climate resilient, bioregional future.
We are seeking a Bioregional Learning Manager to help design and run a new learning programme in bioregional practice and to coordinate the emerging Bioregional Learning Alliance – an international community of practitioner-educators.
This is a new kind of role. We’re not looking for a ‘finished article’ or a conventional academic. We’re looking for someone who is values-led, curious and organised, and who wants to co-create something pioneering alongside others.
The role

- Co-design and evolve a practice-led curriculum in bioregional learning and leadership (online and in-person).

We are looking for a Campaign Director to provide overall day-to-day leadership of the Partnership with The Disabled Children’s Partnership (DCP). You will be responsible for driving forward an ambitious integrated campaign, which combines political influencing, press and digital communications, public campaigning, and coalition mobilisation. Reporting directly to the Chair, the Campaign Director ensures the Partnership’s strategy is coherent, impactful, and responsive to political and public opportunities.
In this role, one eye will always be to our impact and the lasting legacy of our campaigns. Success will be measured in terms of real lasting social change – the extent to which DCP has driven positive shifts in policy, practice and attitudes through our campaigns, and whether our influence has shaped the narratives, priorities and actions of others beyond the lifetime of the campaign.
This role is a fixed‑term position (22.5 hours per week, worked over 3 days) until June 2027. We’re open to discussing how these hours can best work for you. Some on‑call and out‑of‑hours working may be required.

Overview
The Campaign Projects Manager is a fixed-term role that supports the University’s fundraising priorities by turning strategy into action.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Campaign Management, you will identify, plan, and manage key fundraising projects and giving opportunities. You will work closely with the Campaigns and Alumni Relations (CAR) team, academic Schools, and Professional Services, acting as a link between them. Your role will ensure that fundraising projects are clearly defined, financially sound, and ready for donor support.
You will manage important strategic projects related to philanthropy, including the Endowment Income Project, support planning for the conclusion of the Forged in Sheffield fundraising and engagement campaign, and lead the development of a pipeline of post-campaign philanthropic opportunities. You will provide project management for campaign planning and meetings with senior stakeholders, drafting Board papers and reports that explain relatively complex information clearly.
As Campaign Projects Manager, you will oversee key initiatives within the department and work closely with colleagues across the University to deliver campaign objectives. The role involves managing complex and varied responsibilities, requiring sound judgement and a high level of discretion and confidentiality. Your work will ensure critically important projects remain on track through the campaign’s public phase and that momentum is sustained.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Design and implement a process for maintaining a sustainable pipeline of philanthropic fundraising opportunities that align with University priorities and donor interests. Lead work to scope and evaluate the suitability of proposed projects.
- Be proactive in partnering with senior academics and Faculty Leads to identify and "translate" research and capital priorities into fundable projects. Convene groups to source required financial information and narrative content.
- Draft compelling "Cases for Support" and project briefs that align with the University’s strategic themes and are consistent with the overarching Campaign brand. Translate relatively complex information into a form that is understandable by non-experts and appealing to donors.
- Lead the project management of a time-limited plan to ‘unlock’ income and/or capital from dormant or restricted endowment funds. Set milestones, monitor progress and ensure the project keeps on track. Work with colleagues across CAR and across the University to plan, prepare and coordinate submissions to the Charity Commission, providing content for Council papers and proposals where needed.
- Design, set up and test a sustainable system for reporting-on endowment spend and the impact of endowed gifts.
- Use insight and analysis to contribute to the preparation of papers, documents and reports on the project’s progress and outcome. Make recommendations and produce content that is appropriate for different internal and external stakeholder groups.
- Provide project management support for the creation and delivery of a clear plan to close the Forged in Sheffield campaign and maintain momentum post-campaign. Ensure the plan covers key milestones and shows the overall impact of donor support and engagement throughout the life of the campaign. Work with colleagues across CAR to keep the plan current, monitoring progress, identifying risks and responding to change as needed.
- Lead work to evaluate and report on the outcomes of the University’s first major philanthropic campaign. Make recommendations on content, convene expert groups and contribute to creation of materials, as required. Ensure that planned reports are consistent and timely and reflect the full range of stakeholders.
- Support the Associate Director of Campaign Management in planning and preparing for meetings with key internal and external stakeholders. Tasks may include preparing agendas, drafting discussion papers, designing and producing slide decks, being proactive in sourcing content, and following-up on actions. Attendance at meetings may also be required.
- Be proactive about engaging with peers across the sector to gather insight on best practice.

Networks for Nature spans c60 square miles from the River Dee to the River Mersey, including Chester and Ellesmere Port. This is a collaborative partnership project working with Cheshire West and Chester Council, The Land Trust, Cheshire Wildlife Trust, Canal and River Trust, and Sustrans with the aim to drive nature recovery in a mixed-use landscape, creating diverse habitats for species to thrive now and for years to come. We will empower communities to have an active role in conservation action and stewardship and will focus on making nature more accessible to and inclusive for everyone to enable connection and improve wellbeing. As a Wildlife and Wellbeing Officer, you’ll work closely with the Wildlife and Wellbeing Assistant Manager and Networks for Nature project staff to engage and empower communities to make a real impact on conservation efforts and to improve access to nature. You will support with maintaining and establishing community relationships, supporting the development and delivery of a programme of wildlife and wellbeing activities and supporting in building the capacity of community groups, community leaders and other stakeholders within the Networks for Nature project area. You will deliver a broad range of activities, including Family Wildlife Clubs, Wildlife and Wellbeing Clubs, Community Action Days, activities linked to Green Social Prescribing (GSP), GSP workshops for healthcare professionals and activity stands within community settings. You will also actively promote and develop community network links.
Due to the working rota of 10 days in 14 and working every other weekend, there will be some cross-over between the activities delivered within this role and the Community Volunteer Officer role.
We’re looking for someone who can:
• Activity Planning & Delivery: Help plan and run a broad programme of wildlife and wellbeing activities to community groups, including Family Wildlife Clubs, Wildlife and Wellbeing Clubs, Conservation Action Days, activities linked to Green Social Prescribing (GSP), GSP workshops for healthcare professionals and activity stands at community events. Effectively adapting each activity to meet the needs of each group.
• Community Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with community groups to support their continued participation in the project and commitment to creating habitats for UK Wildlife. Including administrative support, dealing with queries via email and telephone and attending meetings, consultations and networking events.
• Content Creation: Research and contribute to the development of resources and new engagement activities designed to support participation in the Networks for Nature project.
• Measuring Impact: Work closely with the Wildlife and Wellbeing Assistant Manager to support in the delivery of an evaluation programme for the Networks for Nature project, including collection and collation of data from project participants, initial analysis of results and presenting findings to key stakeholders.
• Safety & Risk Assessments: With support from the Wildlife and Wellbeing Assistant Manager, ensure that all activities are safe and appropriately risk assessed.

Our Requirements:
• An understanding & affinity to the organisation’s mission, vision & values, with a strong interest in the conservation of UK nature.
• Experience delivering educational and wellbeing focused activities with a range of different audiences across a variety of ages and needs, preferably within an environmental education or conservation focused organisation.
• Experience presenting to audiences.
• Experience developing quality resources for learning.
• Experience of delivering activities/training with a range of audiences.
• Sound working knowledge of computer software systems e.g. Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication and literacy skills including by phone, face to face and via email/online discussion boards
• Excellent time management, administration and planning skills.
• Experience of working in a busy office environment as part of a team & on own initiative
• Full driving licence
Although not essential, the following would be desirable:
• Knowledge and understanding of the health and wellbeing benefits of accessing nature and the models used to deliver these benefits.
• Experience working with audiences with special educational needs and/or mental health challenges and/or socio economically deprived.
• Experience working collaboratively with community partners.
• Experience monitoring and evaluating engagement activities in a community context.
