This role offers the opportunity to be part of a successful national remote service, offering support via the phone or Zoom to affected adults in the UK. We are looking to recruit experienced Family Support professionals to provide these virtual support sessions to individual family members and sometimes groups. We are offering a number of roles at 15-20 hours per week, across 3-5 days, including Wednesday and at least 2 evenings per week (Mon-Wed).

Experience in supporting family members affected by someone else’s substance use is essential, as is experience with assessing and managing risk. Ideally, you would also have experience of working to support parents with their parenting and / or those experiencing domestic abuse. We offer fixed hours part time contracts within a friendly and supportive team. Whilst based at home and requiring the ability to work autonomously, Adfam prides ourselves on our supportive team ethos and working culture. 

• Salary: £30,000 pro rata
• 6.5% contributory pension scheme
• Contract: One year with likely extension

The Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) is looking for a Digital Learning Designer to join our dynamic RCR Learning team. You’ll collaborate with subject matter experts and RCR Learning colleagues to design and develop visually engaging, interactive online learning resources that support doctors throughout their careers.

What you’ll do:

Design & develop digital learning

• Work with SMEs to design, test and evaluate interactive online learning courses.
• Create engaging multimedia assets including graphics, animations, videos and templates.
• Develop storyboards and scripts, offering technical and creative input.
• Communicate design ideas clearly and contribute innovative approaches.
• Ensure all content meets RCR brand, accessibility and quality standards.
• Manage multiple projects, deadlines and deliverables.

Support & improve our digital learning offer

• Identify improvements to the LMS, analytics and user experience.
• Support project workflows and operational processes across the Learning team.
• Monitor delegated budgets and contribute to annual content reviews.

Innovate & stay up to date

• Keep informed on best practice in digital learning, pedagogy and accessibility.
• Evaluate new tools and platforms to enhance our learning offer.

What you’ll need:

• Extensive experience applying educational and instructional design principles to high quality digital learning. 
• Proficiency in key digital learning authoring tools (e.g., Storyline, Rise 360, Synthesia, Canva). 
• Strong visual design skills, ideally with experience using Adobe Creative Suite. 
• Experience creating engaging digital and video based visual assets. 
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG), copyright, GDPR and other relevant legislation. 
• Ability to collaborate confidently with SMEs and internal stakeholders. 
• Experience designing interactive learning exercises such as branching scenarios (desirable). 
• Experience working with doctors, academics or medical professionals (desirable).

TALK Surrey CIO is a small local charity dedicated to supporting people affected by stroke and aphasia, an acquired language and communication difficulty. People with aphasia can often feel isolated and lose their confidence.  We provide group activities, home visits, and community services designed to improve quality of life and foster social connections.  Our team of trained volunteers and two existing part-time staff provide an inclusive and supportive group environment for our members to practise their communication skills, share experiences and enjoy each others' company.

We are seeking a dynamic, compassionate Head of Charity to be responsible for leading our organisation, ensuring our services are high-quality, sustainable, and responsive to the needs of our members.  You would be responsible for the overall leadership, management and development of TALK, including thinking ahead to expand our range of services. You will ensure the charity is well governed, financially sustainable and delivering high-quality, person-centred services aligned to its mission.

You would work closely with Trustees, staff, volunteers, members and other stakeholders to shape the charity’s future, strengthen partnerships, and ensure effective service delivery.

About you

Ideally you will have: 

• Experience in managing or leading a small organisation, charity or service.

We are seeking a Volunteer Support & Systems Manager to lead the development and maintenance of automated workflows used within the Volunteer Support Team.

The role is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the Volunteer Support function including overseeing the day-to-day administration of key volunteer processes. The postholder will also line manage the Volunteer Support Officers who act as the first point of contact to volunteers in assisting with these processes and wider administration.

About the role

The purpose of the Volunteer Support & Systems Manager is to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Volunteer Support function by ensuring that automated workflows are well maintained and continuously improved. This includes the onboarding process for new volunteers, management of mandatory training requirements of existing volunteers and volunteer record management through processing promotions transfers and leavers. The role also provides effective line management to a team of Volunteer Support Officers, supporting them to deliver a high quality of administrative support to volunteers to assist them with these processes.

Responsibilities

• To oversee the efficient operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of all Volunteer Support automated workflows
• To develop clear and effective guidance, to help volunteers access and use the various Volunteer Support digital systems
• To line manage and support the Volunteer Support Team based at the MSSC Support Centre, empowering the team to deliver effective and consistent support to volunteers
• To functionally manage and support the Area Volunteer Support Team based across the 6 Area Offices, empowering them to deliver effective and consistent support to volunteers
• To manage the “Safer Recruitment” and adverse disclosure process for volunteers, in line with MSSC policy, ensuring that criminal records checks are dealt with in a timely and appropriate manner
• To work with the Head of Volunteering to review MSSC volunteering policies, monitoring their appropriateness and effectiveness, making recommendations for changes as necessary
• To support the Head of Volunteering with the successful implementation of MSSC’s volunteer strategy and other national tasks
• To work with Volunteer Support Officers to develop systems and processes for managing the Volunteer Support workload and monitoring delivery standards
• To work closely with other stakeholders, maintaining excellent working relationships across departments to ensure consistency and best practice for our volunteers.

Requirements

• Experience of leading the development and maintenance of digital volunteer management/ communication systems
• Experience of creating and maintaining complex automated workflows
• Experience of overseeing the administrative functions of a CRM system
• Experience of implementing, managing reviewing and refining administrative processes
• Experience of delivering a first-class service to clients or customers
• Experience developing processes which are targeted at both internal and external audiences
• Experience of managing or supervising a large team
• Experience of leading projects manging change with various stakeholders

Desirable

• Experience of managing or supervising a team based remotely
• Experience of using Microsoft Forms and Power Automate or similar systems
• Experience of managing an onboarding process, ideally of volunteers, with the understanding of the importance of safer recruitment
• A strong understanding of the voluntary and community sector, ideally within the youth sector
• Experience of working with volunteers and the knowledge of how to ensure they are supported
• Experience of empowering a team to deliver a first-class customer service
• Experience in managing challenging emails, calls and situations with volunteers professionally, using sound judgement and clear communication
