What you’ll do

As Scheme Manager, you’ll be at the heart of your Peabody community, playing a crucial role supporting the practical needs and wellbeing of residents.You’ll actively work with residents in the management of their self-contained flat, developing and improving Peabody’s service to them and ensuring we take full account of our older residents’ needs. 

Success in this role requires your presence at the sheltered housing scheme 3 days a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday with flexible hours.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a fantastic chance to join the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust, working within the Delivery team as our new National Cycle Network (NCN) Project Officer.

As the NCN Delivery Project Officer you will support and deliver feasibility and infrastructure construction projects, working closely with team managers to ensure effective project management, community engagement, stakeholder collaboration, and operational delivery. You’ll help drive projects forward in line with organisational goals and compliance standards. 

You will have the opportunity to work on projects which seek to tackle some of England’s greatest active travel challenges, including the response to the climate emergency, the inequitable distribution of (and access to) green space, the social injustice of private vehicle dominance and the realisation of equitable and joyful public space for all.

The focus of this role is in the England North region; we may occasionally need you to travel during the course of your work including occasional overnights stays, and you may occasionally be required to work at other locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Walk Wheel Cycle Trust. Candidates should be based within the geographical area with regular travel expected to a nominated hub/office base in Leeds, Manchester, or Newcastle.

ABOUT YOU

You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills including strong report writing experience. 

Experienced with working collaboratively within a team, you will also be adept at building meaningful and productive relationships with stakeholders, public sector (local authority) partners, landowners, contractors and volunteers. 

This role requires a self-starter who can work independently, with a passion for active travel.

Well organised with an ability to think critically and are keen to learn. Experience with project management tools and mapping software is desirable, but not essential. You will have 3 years' work experience in a relevant field (Geography, infrastructure, transport planning, town planning, sustainable transport, technical project management, urban design).

As a Community Fundraising Manager for Dementia UK, you will lead a team of regionally based fundraisers to grow income across community fundraising streams, with a strategic focus on high value supporter acquisition and engagement across regional corporates, organisations and individuals.

You will collaborate with the Head of Community Fundraising and Senior Relationship Fundraising Manager to deliver the community fundraising strategy and develop annual budgets.

Outline of Role

• Provide direct advocacy support to children and young people with disabilities, in and on the edges of the care system. You will hold a caseload, and be committed to championing the rights of these young people, working with a broad range of other stakeholders and agencies to do so.
• Support with developing the quality of services and projects delivered by Coram Voice to children and young people. This includes under Coram Voice’s Disability Outreach Project. It is an exciting time to join this project, which has recently expanded to include educational advocacy in addition to social care focused advocacy.
• You will support in the promotion of good practice across both Coram Voice and external organisations, building equitable and inclusive practice across the sector for children and young people with disabilities.

Our advocates will have relevant experience with children and young people, and may hold a suitable Advocacy Qualification. For the right candidate, we may also be able to offer this post as a Trainee position, and offer support to gain qualifications. About the role

As Head of Fundraising & Marketing at North Yorkshire Hospice Care, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading the growth and direction of our Income Generation team, driving forward the fundraising and marketing activity that underpins Saint Michael’s Hospice, Herriot Hospice, and our bereavement and emotional wellbeing service, Just ‘B’. With responsibility for delivering nearly £3 million in annual income – and the ambition to grow this beyond £5 million – you’ll shape strategy, inspire your teams, and build lasting relationships with donors, partners and volunteers. You’ll bring creativity and vision to identifying new commercial opportunities, diversifying income streams, and ensuring our supporter experience is nothing short of exceptional.

A natural leader, you’ll be experienced in managing and motivating fundraising and marketing teams, empowering staff and volunteers alike to reach ambitious goals. With a proven track record across multiple fundraising specialisms – whether corporate, major donor, individual giving, or community/events – you’ll know how to grow income while delivering outstanding stewardship for high-value supporters. Highly strategic and performance-driven, you’ll be confident in setting targets, managing budgets, and evaluating success, all while championing collaboration across the organisation. This is a unique opportunity to provide support, guidance and information to individuals and families, so they feel informed, reassured and better equipped to manage the impact of MND. As an MND Connect Adviser, you will be part of a supportive team who make a meaningful contribution every day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to helpline calls, emails and forum posts promptly and appropriately.
• Use active listening and sensitive questioning to offer tailored support and guidance.
• Provide information about MND Association services and signpost to external advice where needed.
• Support people in complex cases by liaising with health and social care professionals, multi-disciplinary teams and MND Care Centres.
• Keep accurate records and carry out administrative tasks, ensuring data protection and confidentiality.
• Monitor service delivery standards and contribute to improvements where needed.
• Identify and act on issues of risk, including safeguarding, referring concerns appropriately.
• Promote the Association’s information resources and values in every aspect of your work.

About You:

• Experienced in an information-giving role, ideally including telephone helpline support.
• Skilled in active listening, with the ability to demonstrate empathy and help people prioritise concerns.
• Clear and confident communicator, able to explain complex and sensitive issues in a supportive way.
• Resilient when supporting people in distress, with patience and understanding.
• Able to provide information through written, digital and social channels.
• Experienced in using contact centre or CRM systems, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
