You’ll support the Daycare Operations Manager in running the service day to day, lead staff and volunteers, and help plan meaningful activities that bring joy, connection, and purpose to the people we support.
This is a hands on, rewarding role for someone who loves people, enjoys variety, and takes pride in delivering high quality care and service.
Key Responsibilities
- To coordinate the day-to-day operations of our daycare service
- Ensure clients attending have a positive and engaging experience.
- Support the Operations manager to deliver high-quality, person-centred support and activities.
- Deputise for the Operations Manager in their absence or as and when required.
- Financial management, oversight and record keeping: including sales and purchase invoicing, receipts, credit control functions, petty cash and reconciliations
- Oversee staff and volunteers
- Organise activities
- Accurate record keeping
- Support individual client plans
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the service

We're looking for a Philanthropy & Special Events Officer to join our ambitious fundraising team. In this role you will support on and deliver excellent relationship management and stewardship to a growing portfolio of mid and high value donors to help the team achieve ambitious financial targets. You will also help deliver an exciting calendar of special events including a gala dinner, bespoke donor events with schools and an annual Carol Concert.

What will I be doing?

Achieve agreed fundraising income and prospect cultivation targets and provide regular reporting and metrics against goals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders-including academics, researchers, institutional leaders, and volunteer leaders - to develop and implement strategies for securing gifts of £1M+.
Support the recruitment, engagement, and stewardship of senior volunteer leaders and campaign board members, working closely with colleagues to leverage their networks and influence in securing transformational gifts.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling, insight-led philanthropic narratives and funding propositions, translating CRUK's research priorities into opportunities that inspire philanthropic support.
Develop a strong working knowledge of CRUK's research and impact.

What are we looking for?
Extensive experience in professional fundraising within a complex and ambitious organisation, with a proven track record of securing seven-figure gifts.
Deep knowledge of principal and major gift fundraising best practices, along with a strong understanding of the broader issues and trends shaping philanthropy today.
Demonstrated success working in fast-paced, complex environments, including involvement in significant fundraising campaigns and managing multiple, high-stakes projects.

We are seeking a Wilder Communities Officer (Testwood) to join our cause.
To succeed in putting nature in recovery, we need more people on nature’s side – to support the Trust, to take action themselves and to persuade others to do things differently. The science suggests that to create a social tipping point in society where we can turn things around for climate and wildlife, we need 1 in 4 people to take meaningful action in support of the natural world.
As part of the Testwood team, this role will use community organising approaches to support the community to take action for nature, on and around one of the Trust’s flagship reserves, Testwood Lakes. Testwood Lakes Nature Reserve is a popular destination for the public and provides an important countryside destination in close proximity to Totton and Southampton. Part of the reserve is a multifunctional site providing access and use for angling, recreation and dog walkers. Our Education Centre provides space for visiting school groups, and at weekends, hosts a variety of children and family activities.
The post holder will work with Trust staff, other charities and communities to make a real difference to people’s connection with nature. They will play an active role in managing and developing excellent relationships and support in behaviour change of visitors. The role supports positive community engagement and action for nature as well as actively supporting site management. Positive and confident engagement is a necessity to promote the wildlife importance of the reserve and Trust’s interests while reinforcing responsible use of the site.

About the role
Reporting in to the Global Head of Programme Policy and Practice, the Gender Justice Lead is designated as the single point of accountability for gender justice leadership across the organisation, including for policy and advocacy aligning with organisational values and goals.
The post-holder will directly lead on gender justice work as a standalone issue, while also overseeing the gender mainstreaming work led by the Senior Gender Adviser. The role is responsible for co-developing a thematic strategy, collaborating with the Strategy and Learning Manager in organisational effectiveness.
The role is ultimately accountable for the delivery of the thematic strategy on Gender (both mainstreamed and standalone work) and for reporting progress towards this at regular intervals to measure success and maximise impact, and provides strategic oversight of Christian Aid’s gender thematic global policy and advocacy work in global spaces to ensure the advocacy maximum impact.
The role collaborates with partners and faith groups, providing public policy analysis, positioning, research and writing, and is rooted in evidence and theological reflection to foster a mindset of connection. The post-holder will manage the Senior Gender Adviser.
Some of the main responsibilities of the Gender Justice Lead include:
- Co-develop, create and deliver a thematic strategy for the whole of the Gender Justice thematic priority, including policy and advocacy components, clear measures of progress and impact/success which are then reported against at regular intervals aligning with organisational values and goals.
- Manage the Senior Gender Adviser to clearly contribute to the delivery of the strategy, and to support and collaborate with programmes and partners to achieve organisational standards on gender mainstreaming, protection and inclusion.
- Lead as the organisational technical expert on gender justice programming, particularly as a standalone thematic focus, and collaborate with staff across the Impact and Income & Public Engagement departments so they are able to draw on gender justice expertise – ours and our partners’ – in order to design, fundraise for and facilitate the delivery of strong signature programme
work on gender justice, maximising impact and income. - Provides strategic oversight of the organisation’s policy and advocacy work on gender, supported by the Senior Gender Adviser, to maximise impact.
- Develops, shapes, steers and delivers Christian Aid’s thematic public policy analysis on gender, positioning, and research and writing, rooting this in programme experience and theological reflection, and promotes the exchange of ideas and knowledge, to maximise impact.
- Foster a culture of learning and improvement by identifying best practice among our partners and facilitating knowledge sharing across partners; by commissioning (or directly undertaking when appropriate) research and learning reviews to evidence good practice and course correct where needed.
- Build strong relationships with key policy and advocacy colleagues focusing on ensuring insight and learning from programme practice feeds into, and influences public policy development, and provides evidence for advocacy materials.
- Collaborate with the Strategy and Learning Manager and the Impact and Evidence Manager to ensure appropriate evidence is being gathered and consolidated to measure and communicate the impact of our work on gender justice and to adapt our signature programme approaches as necessary.
- Lead and build external networks so Christian Aid’s work on gender justice is presented and promoted nationally and internationally, including in global advocacy spaces, resulting in 1) an enhanced organisational profile within the sector to maximise our impact, 2) a portfolio of work that is innovative and in line with sector best-practice, 3) a pool of potential partners to engage and work with.
- Programme advisory and resource materials on gender justice are developed on the basis of organisational values, goals, strategies, adaptive programming approaches, and informed by ongoing learning of Christian Aid.

Main Duties
- Maintain oversight of data being captured in the Microsoft-based impact tool to ensure consistency and quality for supporting organisational planning and decision making
- Support teams in data collection by working with internal stakeholders and ensure data managed by the Impact and Learning team is accurate, complete and reliable
- Contribute to production of reports including dashboards, and presentations for various audiences (internal and external)
- Work closely with the IT team and others to support the integration and optimisation of organisational systems, including the project database, Impact Tool and Matter Management System, and potentially other systems including fundraising and contact management
- Support the Impact and Learning Manager and programme management team in facilitating collective sensemaking across the organisation.

About the role
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Leadership Giving Officer to cultivate and solicit gifts from alumni who have the capacity to make donations to the university of between £1,000 and £50,000.
You will be working in an exciting and varied role that blends marketing and fundraising skills as part of the Leadership Giving team within the Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement department. We are a warm, collaborative, and enthusiastic team with a passion for innovative fundraising for meaningful impact.
The postholder will support fundraising for exciting and impactful initiatives across the university. The primary responsibility of the role is to manage two of the flagship Leadership Giving Programmes: the Kingsmaker Guild and Key to King’s. Additionally, they will also manage a portfolio of prospective and existing donors who they will connect with personally, engaging them with the university with the aim of soliciting new or uplifted donations.
Sitting within the KCL Philanthropy Team and working collaboratively with the other fundraisers in the university, the Leadership Giving Officer will manage the delivery of mass-fundraising appeals and stewardship, while also spending time in direct interaction with donors, both in and out of the office.
This role would be well suited to someone with marketing experience who is at the early stages of their fundraising career and keen to apply their skills in a hands-on environment. Candidates without marketing experience but with a strong aptitude for strategic communication and relationship building are also encouraged to apply.
