Contract: Interim position until September 2028, full-time, 37 hours per week
Location: Blackpool, with the opportunity to work from home 1 day per week.

Trinity and Brian House Hospice believe in focusing on the positives within palliative care, providing patients with relief from the symptoms, pain, and stress of a serious illness to improve quality of life for them and their loved ones. They do this through recognising that each person has individual needs and caters to these needs through offering their services in the hospice, the hospital, at home, or residential care home.

About the Role

The Events Fundraiser will work with the Events Manager to develop, plan and deliver the hospice's programme of events across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre. You'll lead on the operational planning and delivery of these events, including creating detailed project plans, budgets, timelines, promotional plans and post‑event evaluations.

You will provide exceptional stewardship to event participants from the moment they sign up until after the event. Along with the Marketing and Communications Team, you'll ensure messaging across the event is consistent, inspiring and tailored. You will also provide on the day support, ensuring each event feels warm and welcoming to participants.

About You

This role will suit someone who is highly organised, collaborative, creative and innovative. You'll have excellent attention to detail and time management skills and will thrive in a busy and fast-paced environment.

You will bring experience of:

  • Working in an events or fundraising role
  • Delivering large-scale, high-profile events from planning to completion
  • Producing marketing campaign material for events across multiple channels for different audiences
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously and consistently meeting tight deadlines
  • Providing excellent support and building relationships with attendees and other stakeholders

If this role sparks your interest, please send a copy of your profile or CV to Gabi Smith at Charity People as the first step.

Deadline: 9am Friday 4th September
Interviews: Week commencing 14th September

Please let us know if you have any issues with interview dates above as we understand that it's peak summer holiday time and we don't want this to impact your being able to apply.

We evidence our commitment by matching charity needs with the skills and experience of candidates irrespective of background e.g. age, disability (including hidden disabilities), gender, gender identity or gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, or sexual orientation. We do this because we believe that greater diversity leads to greater results for the charities we work with.
