AHF is seeking to appoint 3.5 FTE new Grants Officers to help deliver our core grants and advisory programme across England. These roles have been created following the recent announcement of significant new investment, which will support the expansion of the Heritage Revival Fund through to March 2029. This investment will enable AHF, in partnership with DCMS and Historic England, to provide grants to hundreds of communities across England, helping them bring neglected historic buildings back into use.

The postholders will be responsible for assessing and managing a caseload of projects within a defined area of England, joining an existing team of Grants Officers. They will advise and guide projects through each stage of the project lifecycle, from early viability through to capital works. They will ensure that grants, where offered, are allocated and monitored in accordance with programme criteria and priorities and will work closely with external partners to support shared objectives.

We are looking for candidates with strong experience in grant-making and project management, who can work collaboratively as part of a remote team and who can demonstrate a clear interest in AHF’s mission to promote the conservation and sustainable re‑use of historic buildings for the benefit of communities across the UK. Applicants must also have strong numerical and written skills and confidence using common IT and office systems.

We are seeking to fill three FTE positions and one 0.5 FTE position to cover the Midlands, East of England, Yorkshire & Humberside and North East England so we are particularly keen to hear from applicants in these areas. All roles will be home-based.

Government and Multi-Lateral Funding Advisor

About the role

Reporting in to the Government and Multi-Lateral Funding Manager, the Government and Multi-Lateral Funding Advisor will drive substantial growth in income and impact outcomes by actively engaging and cultivating strong relationships with existing and new Institutional funding partners, co-creating and bidding with our Multi-Country Cluster (MCC) and Global Programmes teams.

The role supports development and delivery of the government and multilateral funding strategy for Christian Aid positioning Christian Aid and its partners to secure multi-million awards to maximise impact.

The post-holder will actively engage and cultivate strong relationships with existing and new Institutional funding partners, co-creating and bidding with MCC’s and Global Programmes teams, and will lead  on business capability statements and online donor account registrations.

Some of the main areas of responsibility for the Government and Multi-Lateral Funding Advisor are:

• Working with Government and Multi-lateral Funding Managers, Partnerships and Business Development Lead and Heads of Impact to implement an ambitious strategic framework to enhance engagement and build strong partnerships with agreed Government and Multilateral Funding Partners (including Global Climate Funds, UN, World Bank, Regional Development Banks, Bilateral donors including UK and devolved Governments, European and other Governments) in key areas for collaboration, ensuring alignment with organisational goals to drive impactful results.
• Build and maintain a forward opportunity pipeline for Christian Aid’s institutional funding, collaborating closely with CA Ireland to maximise funding growth.
• Support agreed Supplier Framework Agreements working with MCC Business Development Managers in taking forward pipeline opportunities.
• Collaborate across the Partnerships and Business Development Team and MCC BD Team on tenders and grants, leading bid preparation and ensuring alignment with funding requirements.
• Conduct donor mapping approaches to strengthen long-term financial growth.
• Identify and analyse funding opportunities, providing strategic insights and competitive analysis to maximise Christian Aid’s positioning.
• Support or lead the development of high-quality funding proposals, ensuring alignment with donor requirements and fostering co-creation with partners.
• Lead on global business capability statements and content across Christian Aid programme priorities ensuring these are up to date on the CA intranet and website and available and adaptable for bid teams and business development roles to use. This can include work with internal and external designers as required.
• Leads on key online donor accounts and portals management supporting Government and Multi-lateral Funding Manager(s) and Business Development Managers (MCC).

• Substantial understanding of institutional donor funding landscapes and emerging trends.
• Substantial experience in donor engagement at global regional or country mission levels, working with senior stakeholders.
• Strong writing skills including promotional materials.
• Substantial experience in technical grant and service contract bid writing and annexes and developing grant budgets.
• Developed understanding of financial controls, project design tools, monitoring frameworks, and humanitarian programming principles.

Desirable:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education.
• Experience or understanding of EU, UK Government, UN partner portals.
• Medium level proficiency in speaking and writing in French or Spanish.

About the Service User Network (SUN)

The SUN is an open access model of community-based facilitated group peer support for people experiencing complex emotional needs associated with complex trauma and/or a diagnosis of ‘personality disorder’. The SUN aims to help people develop effective ways of coping, reduce emergencies and improve access to appropriate services.

Those accessing the SUN may or may not have a formal diagnosis of personality disorder. Group members will have experienced longstanding emotional difficulties, isolation and may demonstrate patterns of behaviour that may not be helpful in the longer term.

About the Role

Fundamental to creating empowerment and engagement in the SUN Project is the therapeutic community principle, that the effectiveness of the service depends upon engaging group members in the task of running, delivery, development and evaluation of the service. The utilisation of SUN members’ own resources and expertise is integral to the SUN model of peer support.

SUN Facilitators will have their own lived experience of complex emotional needs associated with a diagnosis of ‘personality disorder’ and will be able to demonstrate their recovery journey. They will work closely with mental health practitioners from ELFT (East London NHS Foundation Trust) to deliver regular Service User Network (SUN) groups in different community-based locations in Bedford, Central Bedfordshire or Luton. Full training in the SUN model, and weekly supervision by a Psychotherapist / Psychologist, will be provided for all team members.

Facilitators will work to develop and support the therapeutic community principle of the SUN model and the effectiveness of the service through engaging group members in the task of running, delivery, development, and evaluation of the service. The utilisation of SUN members’ own resources and expertise is integral to the model of peer support upon which the SUN groups are based.

SUN facilitators will have regular supervision and support in this role along with appropriate training.

An exciting opportunity has arisen as an Empowered Living Team (ELT) Coordinator at St Joseph’s. You will work as a key member of a committed and creative Therapies team, which offers innovative, holistic and person-aligned care and support to people with palliative and end-of-life care needs, and to their families and caregivers.

The post holder will provide coordination for, and service development of, the Empowered Living Service. This community-based service provides outstanding person-centred rehabilitative enablement for people living with a palliative diagnosis. Following a joint professional assessment, a detailed programme of patient-led goals is enabled and supported by a trained ELT volunteer in the patient’s own home. Volunteer recruitment, training, patient matching and regular support group/1-1 supervision is led by the ELT coordinator.

About you

• A skilled professional with experience in health and social care, education or community development.
• Experience of multi-disciplinary working in community rehabilitation settings.
• Experience working in an education or support role in relation to volunteers.

We're hiring a Mental Health Recovery Worker to join our team based in Enfield. In this role, you will support residents with complex mental health needs. Offering 21 beds in a 24 hour supported accommodation to adults with complex mental health needs. We are here to promote independence and give our residents the tools needed to fulfil their lives in the community independently.

As a Mental Health Recovery Worker, you will play a key role in supporting individuals on their journey to recovery, reablement, and rehabilitation, providing person centred and trauma informed support in a psychologically informed environment (PIE), to empower residents to achieve their goals and improve their well-being. Here, you’ll support individuals transitioning from complex care or acute mental health services to a structured rehabilitation setting. Working closely with the mental health trust community rehabilitation team, you’ll help residents overcome challenging behaviour's and support medication compliance, making a real difference every day. Spiritual Care Lead

At Prospect Hospice, we believe that caring for someone at the end of life means caring for the whole person, their physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.

We are looking for a compassionate and thoughtful Spiritual Care Lead to help ensure that spiritual care remains a central part of the support we offer to patients, families, carers, staff and volunteers.

The role

Working as part of our Family Support Team and wider multidisciplinary team, you will lead the development of spiritual care across the hospice and provide specialist support to those experiencing spiritual or existential distress.

You will help ensure that spiritual care is inclusive and accessible to people of all faiths, beliefs and life stances, recognising that spirituality is about far more than religion.

The role provides the chance to support peoples’ needs at a crucial time of their life, offering a place to explore their illness and emotional wellbeing, any anxieties and fear, concerns about their family and what the future looks like, focusing on coping strategies which they can use to empower them or bring peace and clarity.

Through your work you will:

• Offer compassionate spiritual and pastoral support to patients, families and carers
• Support colleagues in recognising and responding to spiritual needs
• Contribute to multidisciplinary discussions and care planning
• Provide opportunities for reflection and support for staff and volunteers
• Build relationships with local faith leaders and community networks
• Help shape and develop spiritual care services across the hospice

The Impact and Improvement Team provides leadership on business improvement and assurance of service delivery - including quality, performance, and outcomes for children and young people. The team ensures that data and reporting meet statutory and regulatory compliance requirements, while also overseeing critical functions such as data protection, complaints, and whistleblowing.

The team is additionally responsible for driving the organisation’s digital transformation agenda. Through the work of the Digital Systems Project Manager and the Data & Performance Lead, the team leads strategic projects aimed at improving data quality and developing systems that support the needs of an increasingly digital organisation.

The Data and Systems Support Officer is an exciting new role created to help our colleagues access and use information with greater confidence and ease, enabling them to deliver the best possible services. By supporting colleagues across the organisation, this role will make data feel more approachable, reliable, and genuinely useful in day‑to‑day work.

You will play a key role in supporting data activity across the organisation, working closely with and learning from the Data & Performance Lead. They will contribute to essential reporting and analysis, offer practical support to non‑technical colleagues facing data challenges, and produce clear insight summaries for Deputies, Managers, and Heads of Service. The role includes a defined development pathway, with on‑the‑job learning and system‑administration training delivered by our system partners.
