Operation Christmas Child UK (OCC) has implemented a strategic volunteer ministry, investing in teams of volunteers who will multiply themselves and hugely extend the reach of OCC’s mission.

OCC is the world’s largest shoebox appeal where Samaritan’s Purse, together with local churches here and overseas, distributes from the UK 1/4 million gift-filled shoeboxes annually to children in need overseas and in so doing demonstrates God’s love in a tangible way while sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.

A resourceful and energetic Regional Manager is needed to recruit, select, equip, and lead teams of volunteers throughout the greater West Midlands area and Wales. You will be passionate about developing others towards highly effective ministry, teamwork and increased personal competency. You will also directly engage churches to participate in OCC in areas not yet covered by Connect volunteers.

You will be confident to take initiative with people and projects and also have good administrative and organisational skills. You will also enjoy envisioning the numerous volunteers who participate in the OCC shoebox appeal each year.

You will enthusiastically support the Christian purposes of OCC and Samaritan’s Purse and be committed to the value of well-equipped volunteers and to developing them further. Candidates will have proven people and project management and administrative experience in the workplace and be educated to A levels or ideally Degree level.

This role is based in region and so prospective candidates should currently live in the region and provide their own transport for which defined expenses will be paid.

Key Responsibilities

Your role would be to ensure our funding and commissioning processes run efficiently, compliantly and strategically. JOB PURPOSE 

As Magic Breakfast continues to expand its reach to support growing numbers of children and young people across the UK, increasing our fundraised income is essential. To help drive this growth, we are seeking a full-time Partnership Development Manager to join our high-performing team and secure new, strategic, multi-year corporate partnerships. 

The purpose of the Partnership Development Manager role is to work closely with the Partnership Development Lead to shape and deliver our new business strategy. The role will focus on identifying, cultivating and securing new strategic, multi-year corporate partnerships, developing tailored and compelling propositions for prospective partners, and collaborating cross-functionally with Brand and Marketing, Operations, Volunteering, and other departments across the Charity to successfully bring these partnerships to life. 

Experience securing five- and six-figure partnerships is a plus, but most importantly, we’re looking for a confident, creative, and outgoing self-starter. Someone who is comfortable building relationships, pitching with conviction, and passionately championing our mission to win new strategic partners.

• Build and manage a pipeline aligned to Magic Breakfast’s funding priorities, including restricted, unrestricted, and Gift-in-Kind opportunities, working closely with the Prospect Research Manager. 

• Secure meetings with prospective partners through creative outreach, networking, phone calls, and LinkedIn.

About the role 

The Operations Coordinator will play an important role in the smooth running of the day centre and night shelter. Working with the Operations Lead, the post holder will secure a diverse and active cohort of volunteers able to fill all the necessary shifts, ensure the building is well maintained and manage the stock of necessary provisions so that guests are adequately provided for. We particularly welcome those with lived experience of homelessness who are able to bring their ‘expertise through experience’ to the role.

Key responsibilities:

Volunteers

• Work with the Operations Lead in the recruitment, training and onboarding of our volunteers, coordinating any relevant checks as required
• Manage volunteer rotas for all our projects: ensuring all shifts are filled in a timely fashion
• Contribute to our engagement with volunteers to ensure they have the best possible experience. This includes supporting the Operations Lead in managing the volunteer advisory group and the provision of training and development of volunteers
• Ensure the volunteer CRM system is kept up to date with all aspects of volunteer data and contribute ideas and actions to improve the process

Out The Box (OTB) – hands-on analogue mixing workshops in leading London studios, giving emerging producers practical experience with desks, outboard gear and professional engineers while bridging digital and analogue production techniques.

• We’re looking for an experienced, delivery-focused manager to lead our event-led merchandise trading offer during a maternity cover. This is a hands-on role for someone who can keep business-as-usual running smoothly while delivering pop-ups and two major retail peaks: Welcome and Graduation.
• You will be accountable for planning and delivering our merchandise trading, including trading plans, stock management, supplier coordination, fulfilment, visual merchandising across campuses, and post-event review. You’ll also lead the development of our range, commissioning limited-edition lines and launching a small number of new initiatives/product lines aligned with creating a sense of belonging and sustainability.
• As well as trading, you will line-manage our Operations and Front of House Coordinator, setting objectives, providing support and development, and ensuring front-of-house delivery and event logistics are well organised. You’ll maintain the core operational cycle linked to trading, including budget oversight, retail systems/reporting, and essential compliance/insurance processes, so that the post-holder returns to a stable, well-run service.
• We’re looking for strong retail/trading judgement, excellent organisation, confident people management, and a collaborative style – someone who can work at pace, prioritise effectively, and deliver consistently during peak periods.

Our Operations Coordinators help ensure that Purposeful Ventures runs smoothly and efficiently, while playing a key role in creating a responsive, supportive and service-oriented office environment You will work closely with the wider Operations team, as well as the wider business, taking a proactive and varied role in the running of Purposeful Ventures, our projects, systems and facilities. In doing so, you will act as a trusted point of support for colleagues, ensuring they feel enabled, informed and well supported.

You will be anticipating and responding to team requirements so no two days will be the same – for example, managing mailboxes and correspondence, signposting staff, coordinating diaries, organising events, setting up meeting rooms, undertaking research, minute taking, collecting data for month end reports, and ensuring meticulous data entry. You will approach tasks with responsiveness, professionalism and a solutions-focused mindset, ensuring that all colleagues experience an efficient and helpful service at all times.

Responsibilities and duties

Our Operations Coordinators improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Purposeful Ventures Team, by providing administration support across our functions including, operations, IT and facilities and finance. They act as approachable, dependable enablers for the organisation, ensuring colleagues consistently receive timely, proactive and professional support.

The role is varied and over time post-holders are expected to gain experience and expertise in a range of duties. This may include, for example:

Administration

Working closely with colleagues in operations, communications, philanthropy and or project teams:

• Being the first point of contact for new enquiries and correspondence for Purposeful Ventures, managing email mailboxes and postal mail; providing a high level of customer service and ensuring enquiries are dealt with promptly and effectively and/or forwarded to the correct team member to progress
• Managing calendars and coordinating meetings, room bookings, activities and social events, and Purposeful Ventures representation at external events, whilst ensuring participants have what they need and that arrangements run seamlessly
• Supporting the external IT support contractor, and coordinating help for staff where appropriate whilst ensuring all issues are resolved and colleagues feel supported throughout
• Supporting the efficient management of team and project documents and templates
• Ensuring the efficient management of our CRM information, including keeping records up to date, funds in/out and payment schedules
• Document administration, coordinating the issue, signing and filing of agreements, whilst ensuring a smooth and professional experience for all parties involved

Finance administration

Contribute to the smooth running of our finance processes by:

• Supporting the monitoring of our finance mailbox, responding to queries in a timely, helpful and polite manner
• Supporting our expense and approval software and flows, and supporting colleagues to navigate systems confidently and efficiently.

The Role

What will I be doing? 

The role oversees: 

• Creation and management of Data governance frameworks 

• Creation and management of Data quality controls and lifecycle management 

• In collaboration with a data warehouse management partner, to design and implement Data ingestion, modelling, warehousing and reporting, using a data discovery audit carried out in 2025

• Vendor delivery and technical oversight 

• Organisation‑wide data literacy and cultural change

Projects you work on may include: 

• Delivery and optimisation of the outsourced data warehouse, including Snowflake architecture and Azure hosting

• Implementation of data ingestion pipelines with a data warehouse partner using tools such Fivetran and transformation workflows using Medallion and Kimball principles

• Establishment of the organisation‑wide data governance model, including catalogues, lineage, role‑based access controls and quality metrics
