About the Role
This role leads our work across Birmingham at an exciting moment. We are developing a participatory, community-centred approach to analysing the city's economy, identifying opportunities for change and coordinating alliances to act on them. This means bringing together mixed groups, including grassroots changemakers, researchers, funders and other partners, and facilitating processes that help people make sense of complex information together, find common ground and make decisions about collective priorities. The role requires someone who can hold these processes well: strong facilitation skills, communicating complex ideas accessibly, building trust across groups, sustaining momentum over time and helping diverse coalitions move from analysis to strategy to action.
The Senior Programme and Network Lead will develop and deliver initiatives that support a growing movement for economic justice across the city, with a particular focus on building support and engagement amongst grassroots changemakers and communities experiencing economic injustice. It will manage projects and resources, conduct programme development and delivery, oversee outreach and partnerships, changemaker recruitment and contribute to fundraising, ultimately playing a key role in shaping our regional impact. This position is crucial in coordinating our work across Birmingham and driving meaningful collaboration with local and national stakeholders, in particular working collaboratively with Economic Justice Brum, a long-standing initiative working on local economic systems change.

This role works closely with the Evaluation & Impact Manager, and focuses specifically on data protection, data analysis and data reporting e.g. to funders.
We are looking for someone to lead on data analysis and data protection within Artswork, embedding a data-led approach to our work. Working closely with the (part-time) Evaluation & Impact Manager, you will not only provide expertise in data generation across the organisation but also insightful analysis of the data to feed into the organisation’s strategic decision-making. Bowel Cancer UK is the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. We’re determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. We support and fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care.

Job Summary
This role forms a key part of a new Strategy & Insight Team at Bowel Cancer UK, which seeks to build core capabilities to enable us to be as effective as we can be for people affected by bowel cancer. The Audience Insight Specialist will be an internal leader, building our capability to understand our core audiences and the people we need to reach to achieve our strategic goals. You will support a cultural shift in how the charity takes an audience-led approach to planning, decision-making, and communications, as our CRM, data infrastructure, and Strategy & Insight functions continue to develop. Making best use of internal and external sources, you will distil data into meaningful insight, tailored to different audiences. You will support a consistent approach to audiences across the organisation, while flexing to meet the needs of different teams, ensuring that any understanding of audience is rooted in evidence.

The Finance Officer will play a key role in maintaining strong financial controls, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting the effective stewardship of resources across the organisation.
Key responsibilities:
Financial Operations
• Act as the first point of contact for finance-related queries, responding or escalating as appropriate
• Contribute to the effective day-to-day financial operations across the Church and associated entities
• Process and accurately record income and expenditure transactions in line with internal processes
• Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready financial records
• Support the handling, recording, and secure processing of cash and cheque income in line with established procedures
• Prepare and arrange the banking of funds, ensuring accurate reconciliation to financial records
• Support financial processes across multiple related entities, including appropriate allocation of income and costs
• Process and reconcile inter-entity transactions where required
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies, escalating issues where appropriate
Income, Giving, & Donor Administration
• Administer all income streams, including donations, events, and charitable and commercial activities
• Maintain accurate records of donor giving and ensure appropriate allocation of funds
• Process Gift Aid claims in compliance with relevant regulations and maintain supporting documentation
• Reconcile giving records with bank and system data, investigating and resolving discrepancies
• Support donor communications, including responding to queries and preparing giving statements and related communications
Accounts Payable & Receivable
• Process supplier invoices, staff and volunteer expenses, and other payments in a timely manner
• Ensure all transactions are appropriately authorised and coded in line with financial controls
• Support the preparation and execution of payment runs
• Raise invoices and manage incoming payments, including monitoring outstanding balances and following up where necessary
• Prepare and process payments, including international transactions where required, ensuring accuracy and appropriate authorization.
Financial Controls & Compliance
• Maintain and apply financial controls, including approval processes and expense policies
• Support fraud prevention measures, including verification of payment details and appropriate segregation of duties
• Ensure compliance with charity finance requirements, including Gift Aid and restricted fund management
• Maintain accurate and audit-ready financial records and supporting documentation
• Maintain appropriate controls over cash handling and banking processes
• Support the integrity and accuracy of financial data across systems
Month-End & Reporting Support
• Assist with period-end processes, including reconciliations and preparation of supporting schedules
• Prepare draft financial reports and summaries for review by the Finance Manager
• Provide basic analysis and commentary on financial performance where appropriate
• Monitor bank balances and support cashflow awareness through regular updates and reporting
Systems & Process Improvement
• Use financial and related systems effectively to maintain data accuracy and efficiency
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and internal controls
• Support the implementation of new systems or process improvements where required
General Support
· Provide administrative and operational support to the Finance Manager as required
· Contribute to the continuous improvement of the finance function
· Undertake other duties appropriate to the role

We are looking for a highly motivated and organised individual with the ability to manage teams, build strategic relationships with employers to grow the Living Wage network, and develop projects that will grow our accreditations schemes and proactively influence change across a broad range of stakeholders in public life.
Direct a team and line manage multiple staff and freelancers, supporting them to deliver projects and contribute to the LWF business plan.
Monitor and evaluate the impact of our work to refine our strategy, deliver projects effectively and demonstrate the value of the real Living Wage.
Clearly communicate the evidence for positive change to grow the Living Wage movement. Encourage employers and key stakeholders to become champions of the Living Wage movement.
Oversee accreditation processes, identify and implement improvements to make our work more efficient.
Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders, policy makers and employers to support them to pay the real Living Wage and seek accreditation.
Create, develop and employ the tools and knowledge available to inform and advise employers on implementing the Living Wage throughout their organisation.
Remote role with travel across the UK particularly to Birmingham.

About NASS
The National Association of Special Schools (NASS) is the membership association for special schools in England and Wales. We bring together independent special schools, non-maintained special schools, special academies, maintained special schools and multi-academy trusts with specialist provision.
We exist to inform, support and represent our members, helping specialist schools improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND and secure the place of specialist provision within the wider education system. NASS is known for being accessible, responsive and personal, combining national influence with practical support that members value as timely, human and trustworthy.
This is a pivotal moment for the organisation. In February this year, the Department for Education published a major white paper on SEND reform which will require NASS to both influence national policy on behalf of our members and children and young people, as well as support them to navigate the changes. Our new CEO will need to review our strategy while building on our strong platform and momentum to further deepen our influence and strengthen our internal capacity.
