The Project Co-ordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day management, provide leadership, and caseload co-ordination to the Swansea hub team. This project will provide support to Western Bay’s Substance Use systems to work collaboratively and, in a trauma-informed way.

The Project Co-ordinator will also play a key role in maintaining a positive and highly motivated team, sustaining excellent performance and delivery as the project develops. The role requires regular liaison with key statutory and other third sector agencies as well as proactive engagement with other leaders and organisational change processes within Platfform. This work will inform the development of our systems change practice. The Swansea Hub team is made up of a coordinator, 1 Practitioner Psychologist, 1 assistant psychologist, 1 counsellor, 1 EMDR Therapist, and 1 service administrator.

About the role:

The British Museum is seeking a Finance Assistant to work as part of the Payables function of the Finance Department in a world renowned setting and the most popular tourist attraction in the UK. You will ensure that financial data is accurate, that all invoices are recorded in a timely manner, and that the service provided to Museum departments is of a high standard.

Key areas of responsibility:

• Maintain the purchase ledger, ensuring ageing is current and that payments are correctly allocated.
• Liaise with all departments to ensure prompt authorisation of invoices for processing and resolving supplier disputes.
• Prepare high quality payment runs, ensuring the weekly process runs efficiently and to timetable, including resolving queries, right through to the presentation to bank signatories.
• Processing staff credit card returns to ensure adherence to Museum group policy.
• Perform month end account reconciliations as directed.
• Identify errors and inconsistencies in GL data and prepare correcting journals.
• Assist with enquiries to the department and provide information to management as requested.
• Proactively suggest ways to improve processes to line manager and other team members.
• Stock record maintenance and query resolution as and when required.

About you:

• Educated to GCSE level.
• Able to work swiftly and accurately with figures, maintaining consistency and accuracy in processing a high volume of transactions.
• IT literate with strong inputting and spreadsheet skills, and excellent attention to detail.
• Enthusiastic, works well with others and willing to take on other work in the department during times of heavy workload or staff absence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and can build strong working relationships within the Museum and with customers.

The Society of Authors (SoA) is the UK's largest trade union for all types of writers, illustrators and literary translators. We’ve been advising authors and speaking out for the profession since 1884.  

We’re currently looking for a Membership & Operations Assistant to join our busy team. Our offices are based on Bedford Row / Theobalds Road in Holborn, London. The role offers some potential for hybrid working after initial training.

The role
As part of our member services team, you will assist with the smooth-running of activities in our London office. We’re looking for a tech-confident person to help with routine membership and database processes. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is required. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for fielding incoming calls to the SoA and emails to the info@ email address, as well as updating member records. And as we’re just about to implement a new membership database, you will assist the team with testing and introduction across the organisation. The successful candidate will also be supporting in building management, staff and tenant needs in addition to deputising in the absence of the Head of Operations.

Key responsibilities
•  Supporting Membership with communication via email and telephone
•  Advising prospective members on how to join and manage payments
•  Forwarding queries and contracts to the advisory team
•  Issuing Public Liability Insurance documents
•  Issuing replacement membership cards
•  Inputting and processing applications
•  Sending correspondence to applicants regarding membership

It’s an exciting time to be joining Shelter. About the role 

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Sustrans team as part of the Delivery and Collaborative Design team. 

As the Project delivery Assistant, you will work with the Delivery Coordinator and Project officer in providing support on a variety of projects that promote active travel in communities, workplaces and educational settings. You will also support the recruitment and development of volunteers in the area.

This varied role will see you working in partnership with local authorities, community groups and schools around the region along with volunteers and third sector organisations to increase walking wheeling and cycling activities and commutes, increase levels of public health and wellbeing. 

This role will require travel and work at locations as necessary to undertake projects on behalf of Sustrans. 

There are two roles available based either in Stockton or Darlington. This is a fixed term contract ending 31 October 2024 (with possible extension subject to funding)

You should have experience of collaborating with volunteers or volunteering with a community project.   

We ask that you have effective communication skills, that you are highly self-motivated and able to engage with others. You will also need to have strong organisational skills and that you can plan and monitor workloads.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Support Worker (known internally as Duty Worker) to join the team. You will develop valuable skills and experience while playing a key role in providing support to St Mungo’s clients.

You'll be joining the growing teams across The Hammersmith and Fulham Housing Pathway, a Supported Accommodation Pathway which includes vital services such as semi-independent, gender specific safe spaces and services for people with complex support needs. This role is at The Coninghams, which is a 31 bed complex needs accommodation.  

Our aim is to support people who have recently been sleeping rough, or who may be experiencing long term homelessness and work with them to develop the skills, networks and confidence to live independently in the community.

In this role you will jointly manage the safe day to day running of the project with other members of the team and provide basic support and advice to clients. You will be the first point of contact at Reception for clients and visitors and have the opportunity to maintain a welcoming and supportive environment within the project. You will coordinate Health and Safety checks and administrative duties while working alongside the team to provide a person centred support to residents and clients.

About you

This role is ideal for people looking to develop a career in the sector; a number of current Managers started their career as Duty Workers. In addition you will have:

• Some experience of dealing directly with the public and/or clients or customers in a busy service environment and good communication skills.
• Personal experience of homelessness and/or an understanding of and empathy with the issues faced by homeless or vulnerably housed people.
• A genuine interest in helping vulnerable people to make positive changes in their life, and the willingness to develop these valuable skills.

Job Title: West Yorkshire Full-time Maths Tutor

Reporting to:  West Yorkshire Programme Manager

Responsible for: Delivery of academic intervention in Maths to pupils in educational environments for Tutor Trust

Location: West Yorkshire

Salary: £24,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a full-time position (40 hours across seven days a week)

Job Purpose: Main Duties and Responsibilities:

· To plan and deliver tuition to primary/secondary school aged pupils (from 9-16 years old) across West Yorkshire in Maths on a 1:1 to 1:4 ratio.

· To complete appropriate paperwork relating to tuition with pupil (register, feedback sheets, etc.)

· To liaise with the West Yorkshire Programmes team and the quality team.

· To undergo any appropriate training throughout the role to enhance the quality and impact of tutoring delivery.

· To support other tutors as appropriate.

· To be involved in Tutor Trust tutorials and training where required.

          To follow all Tutor Trust/school safeguarding policies and procedures.

Person Specification – skills and attributes

· One year of tutoring experience required or QTS.

· Ability to tutor Maths to a standard desirable.

· Bright, enthusiastic, and well-motivated tutor confident in dealing with young people.

· Robust and resilient character with excellent time-management skills.

· Must have achieved a minimum of Grade B/6 at GCSE in Maths and English.

· Demonstrate a commitment to the goals and ethos behind The Tutor Trust.

· Enthusiasm and ability to contribute to the successful development of The Tutor Trust.

· Understanding of the National Curriculum, GCSE syllabus and have a broad understanding of policy issues and educational best practice relating to improving pupil achievement at KS2, KS3 and KS4.

· The ability to work with children from complex backgrounds and with complex needs.

· Access to a full driving licence and car is desirable, but not essential.

General

The West Yorkshire team is based in central Leeds offices however, there is the opportunity for hybrid/remote working. The job is a full-time, position with frequent travel required across the West Yorkshire Region to deliver tuition.  All reasonable travel expenses on Tutor Trust business will be reimbursed (not including your regular commute from home to the Tutor Trust office). 

Holiday entitlement will be 33 days per annum (inclusive of Bank Holidays, pro rata). The role will involve working occasional unsocial hours in the evenings and at weekends. 

Tutor Trust is signed up to the Government-backed NEST pensions scheme, which is offered to our employees (with an employer contribution) after the qualifying period.

Role and Responsibilities 

Supporting the wider finance team, you will:

Accounts Payable

• Assume complete ownership of employee expenditure: processing and posting transactions to the accounting system weekly.
• Manage supplier payments, including collecting and processing invoices before posting to the accounting system on a weekly basis.
• Communicate with suppliers and staff regarding expected payment dates of invoices.
• Monitor the payables ledger to ensure invoices are paid on a timely basis.

Accounts Receivable

• Process donations received through various payment methods onto the accounting system.
• Process gift aid claims when appropriate.

Management Accounting

• Post journals to the accounting system as required.
• Assist with the month-end processing and reporting.
• Assist with the monthly reconciliation of balance sheet.
• Maintain appropriate filing and assist in collation of evidence for annual audit.
• Contribute ideas for process and efficiency improvements.
• Ensure the organisation remains compliant with local council requirements.
• Contribute to the office management committee to maintain standards of office tidiness.
• Any other ad-hoc duties as required by the team.

This is a vital role designed to support the team's delivery of partnerships and assist with growing partnerships. Key duties and responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Corporate Partnerships Officer, you will be responsible for; providing administrative and fundraising support, developing and stewarding relationships, alongside managing and nurturing a portfolio of partners with support from the SCPO/Managers in the team.

The post holder will:

-Provide administrative and fundraising support to enable the delivery of corporate partnerships.

-With the Corporate Partnerships Officers, be responsible for administrative duties for the team including sending thank you letters to donors, replying to enquiries to the corporate unit email account, monitoring stock levels and ordering fundraising materials.

-Assist the Corporate unit in servicing materials requests from large corporate partners.

-Manage a portfolio of corporate partnerships, aiming to nurture and cultivate the relationship with a donor-focused approach to ensure income targets are achieved.

-Working with the Supporter Care team, ensure that all donations are quickly and correctly processed and acknowledged and that reports are available in the appropriate format.

-Organise and co-ordinate mailings such as newsletters and appeals for corporate partners.

-Help maintain accurate, up to date records of all corporate contacts on the database (Microsoft Dynamics), and to ensure that this information adheres to data protection guidelines.

-Update and upload information onto the Mind website.

-Liaise with other Mind departments, Mind Retail, Mind Cymru and local Minds as appropriate with regards to corporate fundraising and volunteering.

-Assist with the organisation of events connected with the Partnerships fundraising team, and with practical tasks for other departmental events, as required.

-Contribute effectively as part of the Partnerships team, as well as the Fundraising department as a whole.

-Work with colleagues across the organisation, and represent the new partnerships team in internal meetings as required

As a Conservation Projects Manager and a key member of the national Conservation team, you will work with experienced consultants and skilled craftspeople, with national and regional colleagues, volunteers, local partners and stakeholders to develop and manage a range of holistic, conservation and new use projects, from inception to completion, and providing professional advice and support to community led projects.  You will lead on all capital, conservation and maintenance, programmes in the region.

You will have expertise and specialist knowledge in the field of historic building repair and conservation, and a proven track record of project management (client side) in the heritage sector. You might be a Building Surveyor, a Conservation Architect, an Estate Manager, or a Project Manager, in this continually varied and unique role you will be working on some of the most significant historic buildings in the country. As you’ll be working on projects across the region, but not exclusively, it is essential you have a full driving license.
