About the role
The King’s Fund is looking for a Content Executive to join our newly established Content and Editorial team on a fixed-term basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to help bring our strategy and brand to life through powerful, people-centred storytelling that influences health and care policy and practice.
Working closely with colleagues across the organisation and external suppliers, you will create, commission and manage high-quality multimedia content including videos, animations and podcasts. You will take content projects from concept through to delivery, developing story-led written and visual content, sourcing compelling human-interest stories, and ensuring high editorial, ethical and brand standards throughout.
About you
You will be confident managing multiple projects at pace, collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, and using insight to maximise the impact and reach of content across digital channels. With hands-on experience in multimedia production and a strong interest in digital storytelling, you will play a key role in evolving how The King’s Fund communicates and inspires change across the health and care system.

About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior PR and Communications Manager to lead our PR and Communications function and play a key role in raising the Charity’s profile as a global leader in cancer research funding.
You will lead the development and delivery of a proactive and reactive PR and communications strategy that enhances our reputation, drives awareness, and supports fundraising across all income streams.
Managing a small team, you will work collaboratively across the Charity and hospital to identify compelling stories—from groundbreaking research to powerful patient and supporter experiences—and bring them to life across regional, national and sector media.
What You’ll Be Doing
Strategic Leadership
- Deliver the Charity’s PR and communications strategy to increase visibility, reputation and engagement
- Manage and develop the PR and Communications team, ensuring high-quality, impactful output
- Track and report on media performance, coverage and KPIs.
Media Relations & Reputation Management
- Develop strong relationships with national, regional and specialist media
- Lead proactive media engagement, including story sell-in, press releases and media briefings
- Manage reactive communications, including handling sensitive issues and advising on messaging
- Identify opportunities to position senior leaders as thought leaders within the sector.
Content and Storytelling
- Oversee the development of high-quality, compelling content that showcases the Charity’s impact
- Lead on the production of the Charity’s supporter magazine Progress and key publications, including Annual and Impact Reports
- Work closely with clinical teams, patients and supporters to source authentic, engaging stories.
Campaigns and Partnerships
- Lead PR activity for flagship campaigns and events, including The Banham Marsden March, Celebrate a Life, and the Ever After Garden
- Support major fundraising initiatives, corporate partnerships and new product launches
- Collaborate with Marketing and Digital teams to maximise reach across channels.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships across the Charity, hospital and external partners
- Work closely with clinical teams, senior leadership, and celebrity/VIP stakeholders to maximise appropriate PR opportunities
- Ensure consistent and accurate representation of the Charity’s brand and messaging.
About You
We are looking for a confident and strategic communications leader with strong charity sector experience.
You will bring:
- Significant experience in PR and communications within the charity sector
- A proven track record of delivering impactful PR strategies and campaigns
- Strong media relations expertise, including handling complex and sensitive issues
- Experience of managing and developing high-performing teams
- Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills
- Experience producing publications such as annual reports or magazines
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.

The Information Services team at Alzheimer’s Research UK is responsible for providing information about dementia and dementia research to the public. The team operates the charity’s Dementia Research Infoline and produces and disseminates health information booklets and other resources. The team also has responsibility for promoting research involvement to the public, actively helps people to take part in studies and support the NHS service Join Dementia Research.
We are looking for a confident, friendly and proactive person to join us as a Health Information Officer. Alongside other officers provide day-to-day operation of the Dementia Research Infoline, answering questions from the public with about dementia, dementia research and about opportunities to get involved in research. Reporting to the Information Services Manager, the Information Officer will also play a key role in maintaining the relationship of the partnership between Alzheimer’s Research UK and Join Dementia Research, support in the delivery of outreach projects to underserved audiences and help with the updating and production of the charity’s dementia health information resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Day-to-day delivery of the Dementia Research Infoline by responding to public enquiries and providing accurate, responsible and helpful information to the public.
· Acting as the first point of contact for Dementia Research Infoline callers, providing information over the phone about dementia and dementia research, as well as signposting to other organisations. Note – the Infoline does not provide counselling or medical advice.
· Responding to Dementia Research Infoline enquiries by letter, social media and email.
· Registering people to Join Dementia Research, via the telephone and via paper registration form. This involves processing and recording volunteer health information and ensuring data is up-to-date and contact with registrants maintained appropriately.
· Supporting existing volunteers on Join Dementia Research, with tech issues, keeping their data up to date, and discussing opportunities to take part in research.
· Average enquiry volumes are around 5-10 per day per officer, and can be up to 30 minutes long.
· Maintaining an up-to-date and evidence-based library of responses to common health and research enquiries relating to dementia.
Promoting to the public the importance of participation in research and acting as an entry-point for the UK research register, Join Dementia Research and other ways to take part in research.
· Discussing with the public, through the Dementia Research Infoline, the different ways people can get involved in research and the types of studies looking for volunteers.
· Managing the confidential handling of personal data.
· Finding ways to promote taking part in research to internal and external audiences, with a focus on reaching underserved audiences.
Creation and dissemination of health information
· Writing and updating evidence-based health information materials in line with inhouse standards and processes, including engaging and accessible materials in print, web and other formats.
· Liaising with expert and lay user reviewer volunteers.
Raising awareness of dementia research in underserved communities
· Assisting in the dissemination of information and resources to underserved communities.
· Looking for opportunities to raise awareness in hard to reach audiences.
· Embedding inclusive practices throughout the work delivered by the Information Services team.
Additional Ad-Hoc Responsibilities:
· Making contributions to articles on Alzheimer’s Research UK website.
· Contributing to staff Q&A sessions.
· Attending conferences and supporting wider work of The Information and Involvement department.
· Speaking at events and representing the charity in the community, as appropriate.
· Undertaking any other relevant duties and projects delegated by the Information Services Manager in line with the responsibilities of the post.
Knowledge, skills and experience needed:
· Science graduate or equivalent level of education (biomedical or biological subject).
· Experience of discussing health or research with the public.
· Experience of writing complex health information in a simple and accessible way.
· Knowledge of dementia.
· Appreciation of the emotional impact of dementia on individuals.
· Resilience for dealing with occasional challenging calls.
· A sensitive and patient phone manner.
· A confident, friendly and professional attitude; would feel at ease representing the charity to a range of audiences.
· Willingness to work flexibly within a small team to ensure core Infoline hours (9am-5pm) are covered.
· Strong written communication skills.
· Willingness and ability to travel independently in the UK occasionally and to work outside of regular office hours when needed.

Ways of working:
As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Role
In this exciting yet challenging role as Emotional Support Worker, you will provide valuable support to survivors of sexual abuse and their loved ones, through our helpline service. Last year, around 2,400 people contact us via this crucial service. Our helpline is a starting point for support, as men and boy’s take their first steps reaching out for help. We are also integral to the SurvivorsUK eco-system, providing support to client’s on our counselling waiting list and helping survivors navigate the different support options that are available.
We provide emotional support, information and signposting through a national helpline service, which is offered via Webchat, SMS, Email, and soon to be offered via WhatsApp and telephone. We are open from 10am to 8pm, 7 days per week.
The Helpline Team meeting and group supervision are the 1st Thursday of each month between 9am-11am.

The Hepatitis C Trust runs national projects where peers draw on their lived experience of drug use and hepatitis C to support others. We are now recruiting for a role to join our Bristol & Severn team for a fixed term of 6 months.
As part of an experienced team, this role will promote hepatitis C awareness, blood borne virus testing and referral to treatment, for people living with hepatitis C. The role will support volunteer peers and increase the project’s reach to underserved communities. You’ll be providing vital harm reduction interventions including needle, syringe and naloxone provision across Bristol & Severn.

Liberty is looking for a creative and strategic lawyer to join its legal team as a legal team manager. Strategic litigation is core to Liberty’s work. Our lawyers work closely with the rest of the organisation using casework and legal advice to help Liberty reach its strategic goals. You will be responsible for running a small caseload of strategic litigation, conducting interventions and providing specialist human rights advice. A large part of the role is identifying and then scoping potential cases, working closely with other organisations to develop the litigation in a collaborative and creative way.
In addition to your legal work, you will line manage another lawyer in the team, one of our paralegals and our legal information officer, who leads Liberty’s legal education work. The management of the team as a whole will be shared between the Head of Legal, the current legal team manager and you.
