We are looking for an administrator to support the Home Together Coordinator to facilitate our Home Together Service. The Home Together Service provides reactive assistance for up to six weeks from a clients return from hospital and remote ongoing support thereafter. The Home Together Administrator assists the Home Together Coordinator to deliver a wide range of practical and emotional support to older people who are having difficulties; for example, older people who have recently been discharged from hospital and/or are recovering from illness or injury, and/or are socially isolated and need support to stay healthy, connected, and independent. This busy and varied role will involve working with volunteers, the staff team, voluntary partners, and health and social care providers, with the client at the centre of everything we do.  The Home Together Service sits within our Age Well Together Service, which offers a range of assistance to support clients at home and in their local community to prevent decline; maintain independence; reduce social isolation; and promote health and wellbeing with care, friendship and understanding. This includes our befriending services, an online shopping service and a Handyperson service.

Reporting directly to the Sanctuary Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of our accommodation pathways, ensuring the best possible outcomes for destitute migrants and newly granted refugees. 

This is a dynamic, frontline casework role that spans three core areas of our housing provision: 

• The Hosting Project: Supporting people seeking sanctuary who have no recourse to public funds by giving them a welcoming, safe place to stay in the home of one of our volunteer hosts. 

• Refugee Lodgings: Helping to provide a safe and supported housing option for newly granted refugees at risk of homelessness by matching them with people who have a spare room. 

• Transitional Housing: Providing vital tenancy sustainment support for newly granted refugees transitioning into our shared accommodation properties. 

About you 

We are seeking a dedicated, highly organised, and empathetic professional with proven experience working directly with people experiencing homelessness, particularly asylum seekers and forced migrants. 

You will have a strong working knowledge of the housing system, the UK welfare system (including Universal Credit and Housing Benefit), and how to support people to access their entitlements. Because this role requires managing complex casework and navigating cultural nuances, you must possess strong interpersonal skills, particularly when working with vulnerable people or those with English as a second language.

Food Project Coordinator

This role will primarily coordinate our growing food club project, Bristol Goods, but will also provide support for our other services that utilize food to engage people in support and build community connections. 

Caring in Bristol has a legacy of food-based projects; from our inception as Caring at Christmas, through to Cheers Drive, our pandemic response service. We have a fantastic network in the city’s food and hospitality sector which enables us to work in creative ways to alleviate housing insecurity. 

As Food Project Coordinator, you will play a central role in organising our food club operations and ensuring Caring in Bristol upholds food safety standards. A significant part of the role will be centred around building relationships with our food club members and the volunteers that help deliver the service. 

The postholder will also have the opportunity to contribute to other food-centred activity within the charity, including food provided to our young people’s services and Caring at Christmas. 
 

Key responsibilities 

The workload for the role is split in approximately the proportions: 

~60% of the role 

Food logistics and coordination  

• Support the Senior Project Coordinator to oversee the sourcing, supply and distribution of food, ensuring a consistent and balanced provision of fresh and ambient products for service users each week. This includes driving the Caring in Bristol van (full UK driving licence essential).

• Coordinate and monitor the stock of food, ensuring there’s always sufficient stock levels to cover all the food clubs

• Coordinate the weekly Fareshare delivery and sorting/preparation of food in line with organisational procedures 

• Support the Bristol Goods Team to uphold food safety management within the organisation, ensuring our warehouse space is adequately clean and organised at all times 

• Manage Bristol Goods volunteers on shift to ensure they understand how to carry out their role safely, and enjoy their experience

• Supervise the on-site running of the food clubs on a Rota basis with other Caring in Bristol staff. This does involve cash handling and taking payments.

• Support Senior Project Coordinator to form working relationships with our food suppliers and food sector contacts, and seek out potential new opportunities that could benefit the resilience and breadth of Caring in Bristol’s food offer 

• Supporting the delivery of our other food projects including Bristol Youth Goods. 

• Follow organisational safeguarding, health and safety, data protection, COSSH and van procedures.

Food Club Member Support 

• Interact with members and signpost them to relevant services within Caring in Bristol, in the local community, and city wide.

• Keep up to date with support services across the city to provide appropriate signposting and referrals. 

• Provide support and build relationships with Food Club members through informal check-ins and identify those who may be experiencing challenges impacting their housing or wellbeing. Provide appropriate assistance, including but not limited to, form filling, applying to external volunteering opportunities or training and referring to additional services.

• Uphold the safety and safeguarding of members in the delivery and development of the Bristol Goods service.

• Record members’ attendance, support provided and engagement on our database in line with data protection policies and regulations. 

• Take ownership of our community noticeboard, sharing opportunities and support options in the area.

Working with individuals with learning disabilities we are a busy 8 bed residential service. The successful applicant will need to be enthusiastic, to adapt quickly and lead a diverse team in different and challenging situations.

We are looking for someone who is organised, pro-active, can multi-task and work on their own initiative, proficient in IT systems (or quick learner!), as well as working in a person-centred way.

The successful Service Coordinator will include overseeing care packages for the people we support (liaising with professionals and families, creating and updating support plans and risk assessments, etc), line managing staff (including but not limited to supervisions, role modelling, wellbeing check-ins, following policies and protocols, etc,).

You would be working as part of a small team where good verbal and written communication is essential. Other essential skills include the capacity to work within professional boundaries, yet meet individuals with empathy, and the ability to have difficult conversations while creating good working relationships with colleagues.

The position is full time, worked over 5 days and will require you to work regular weekends. You will be based at Crantock Drive, however an element of the position will require you to be able to get to other locations for training, meetings, etc.

Salary: Circa £17,000 per annum (FTE circa £28,300 per annum)

Contract: Services are contracted and there is currently funding for this contract until 31 March 2027.

The Role

The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes.

A key part of the role will be to recruit, train and manage a team of volunteers, to support service users and the delivery of the service.

The Stroke Support Coordinator will:

• Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.
• Provide personalised information, advice and support.
• Support clients to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to prevent further strokes
• Be accountable for volunteers, so experience of recruiting, training and managing volunteers would be an advantage.

About You

The post holder will have experience/background in:

• A caring profession ideally with experience of supporting people with disabilities.
• Setting up and running groups.

This role requires extensive travel across a large geographical locality to visit people at home and in community settings. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role.

Our Youth Voice and Engagement team specialise in youth participation and digital co-production. They have an organisation-wide strategic remit to develop and embed an inclusive and accessible youth voice and leadership programme. The team is also responsible for the delivery of our digital e-wellbeing service and the development of other digital platforms to meet the needs of the children and young people we support.

We are recruiting for a Youth Voice and Engagement Co-ordinator to help us bring youth participation to life across East Sussex. As part of our Youth Engagement Team, you’ll lead the delivery of our Youth Voice Action Plan, working directly with young people in supported accommodation, therapeutic services, and youth advice settings in West Sussex. You’ll collaborate with frontline staff to embed meaningful engagement practices and ensure young people’s voices are heard, valued, and acted upon.

Your contracted base will be Eastbourne Foyer, and the role will be delivered on-site within residents' houses across our Housing Services in East Sussex.

Qualifications, knowledge, and experience

We are recruiting a Youth Voice and Engagement Co-ordinator, who has experience in youth engagement, co-production, or participation work. The successful applicant will have strong facilitation and communication skills and a proactive, organised, and collaborative approach. You will also have the ability to build trust with young people and staff alike and knowledge of trauma-informed and psychologically informed approaches.

We are looking for people with great energy and motivation to join our Short Breaks service which offers a chance for young people with an additional support needs or disability to have fun and take a break from daily routines, and helps families to enjoy quality time, local activities, and connections with others.

Our holiday and weekend activities give parents and carers a break while providing participants with a safe, welcoming space to have fun and receive the care they need. Our coordinators plan, arrange and deliver a programme of activities shaped around the needs of the young people, making the most of local opportunities, from heritage sites and outdoor adventures, to sports, arts and crafts, cooking, and team challenges. These sessions help children build friendships, grow in confidence, and express themselves in a fun, supportive space.

Family day activities bring families together to create special memories and enjoy time with others who share similar experiences. Coordinators develop and facilitate activity days which involve the whole family and provide opportunities to build friendships and connections with others. Activities take place at outdoor centres, local heritage sites and museums, as well as organised beach days and community centre-based workshops and activities.

Applicants should have relevant experience of working or volunteering with children and young people in education, health or social care, and have exceptional organisational and communication skills. 

Full and part-time positions available, and coordinators are required to work most Saturdays.  In school holiday periods, more activities take place on weekdays (instead of Saturdays), so flexibility is needed. Activities are delivered across Kent, so some travel is required.

It’s essential that applicants have their own car and preferably willing to drive a minibus (full training provided). Immediate start available.
