About you and the role
You are a pragmatic, highly analytical data professional who lives at the intersection of charity compliance and modern cloud systems. You are someone who understands that a rapidly growing £2m charity needs lean, workable frameworks, not corporate red tape that stalls delivery.
You bring a strong track record of working within the UK non-profit sector, meaning you already understand the nuances of donor data, PECR regulations, and charity-specific workflows. You don’t just write policy documents; you enjoy untangling data flows and translating complex regulatory requirements into practical, everyday processes.
In this interim role, you will act as the "Product Owner" and "Information Governor" for our systems upgrade. You won't need to do the technical database configuration—we already have a trusted, external Beacon CRM expert to handle the builds. Instead, you will bridge the gap between our teams and the technology. You will run discovery sessions with our Fundraising, Programmes, Finance and Operations teams to map their operational needs, translate these into a compliant data blueprint, and drive our Beacon expert to build them.
Crucially, you won’t need to draft our Data Sharing Agreements (DSAs)—these are already in place. Your job is to audit our systems and processes to ensure we are physically complying with them, designing the exact workflows, access permissions, and data retention schedules needed to keep us airtight. Finally, you will advise us on how to sustainably own our data protection internally going forward.
Key responsibilities:
1. Operationalising Our Data Sharing Agreements (DSAs)
Translate Contracts into Code: Review our existing, drafted DSAs and map out the exact system processes, fields, and permissions required in Beacon CRM to physically comply with them.
Consent & Retention Alignment: Ensure that our data capture, consent practices, and deletion cycles perfectly match the legal promises made in our DSAs.
Audit System Compliance: Inspect our current data flow (website $\rightarrow$ Beacon CRM $\rightarrow$ integrated platforms) to ensure no data leaks or unauthorised sharing are occurring.
2. Business Analysis & Team Alignment
Run Discovery Sessions: Work with our Fundraising, Services, and Finance teams to understand and map how they currently use data and where their bottlenecks are.
Synthesise Requirements: Balance the operational needs of different teams (e.g., keeping sensitive service user data strictly partitioned while allowing the fundraising team to run compliant donor campaigns).
Create Technical Specifications: Translate these mapped team needs into clear, structured functional requirements for our external Beacon CRM expert to build.
3. Data Governance & System Security
Access & Permissions Architecture: Review and redesign the user access roles within Beacon CRM, establishing a robust "least privilege" framework so staff only access data essential to their role.
Data Minimisation & Deletion: Define precise data retention schedules and work with the Beacon expert to automate the archiving or permanent deletion of expired records.
Record of Processing Activities (RoPA): Document and map our internal data flow so we have a clear, compliant audit trail of how data moves through the charity.
4. Sustainable Ownership & Handover
Future Governance Design: Assess our internal capacity and design a realistic, lightweight model for how we should own data protection internally going forward (including identifying internal roles vs. when to use external support).
Process Testing & Team Training: Test the newly configured Beacon setups to ensure they work for staff, and deliver a practical, non-boring training session to the team on the new processes.
Essential Skills and Experience
UK Charity Sector Expertise: Direct experience working within or consulting for UK registered charities, with a deep understanding of charity-specific data issues (such as donor consent, fundraising regulations under PECR, and handling sensitive beneficiary or safeguarding data).
Operationalising Compliance: Proven experience translating legal data requirements (specifically implementing existing Data Sharing Agreements, DPAs, and GDPR frameworks) into practical, everyday staff workflows and system processes.
Business Analysis & Stakeholder Mapping: Excellent track record of running discovery sessions with non-technical team heads to untangle, map, and simplify their operational data needs.
Technical Translation & Developer Management: Experience acting as the "Product Owner" or lead interface between internal teams and external database developers—specifically translating operational needs into clear technical specifications for CRM builds.
Practical GDPR & PECR Knowledge: A highly pragmatic approach to compliance, with experience building Records of Processing Activities (RoPA), setting up data retention schedules, and designing role-based access permissions.
Desirable Skills and Experience
Passion for our mission. to improve children’s health through school food.
Familiarity with Beacon CRM: Prior experience auditing, working with, or directing builds within Beacon CRM (or closely related modern cloud charity CRMs like Donorfy or Salesforce).
Information Governance Qualification: A professional certification in data protection (such as CIPP/E, Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection, or equivalent), though hands-on charity sector experience is valued above theoretical qualifications.
Transition & Training Experience: Experience training small charity teams on new data habits and helping leadership teams design lightweight, internal data ownership structures.

Purpose of the role
The Project Manager will lead the delivery of MindOut's National Lottery Heritage Fund project, Speaking Our Minds: MindOut 25+ Years and LGBTQ Mental Health, an innovative 18-month heritage programme documenting, preserving and sharing over 25 years of LGBTQ mental health history.
Working with LGBTQ communities, volunteers, staff, former service users, heritage partners and community organisations, the postholder will oversee all aspects of project planning, delivery, evaluation and legacy. This includes oral history collection, digital archiving, volunteer management, community engagement, public exhibitions and dissemination activities.
The Project Manager will ensure the project is delivered safely, ethically and inclusively whilst meeting all National Lottery Heritage Fund outcomes, budgets, milestones and reporting requirements.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a significant LGBTQ heritage project that will create a lasting record of community resilience, mental health activism, peer support and social change.
Role description
You will bring the experience, confidence, organisational skills and values required to lead a complex community heritage programme involving lived experience storytelling, volunteer participation, community partnerships and public engagement.
Main Tasks
Project Management
· Manage the set up and delivery of a new Speaking Our Minds project in a medium-size charity.
· Develop and maintain detailed work plans, project timelines, budgets, risk management and ensure milestones and National Lottery Heritage Fund requirements are met.
· Provide regular progress reports in line with project timeline, budgets and outcomes for the Charity Director
· Ensure all project activity is delivered in accordance with MindOut's organisational policies.
Community Participation & Co-production
· Establish and facilitate a Community Advisory Group to guide project development and decision-making.
· Design and deliver co-production workshops, reflection sessions and community consultation activities centring values such as co-production, lived experience and trauma aware with diverse participation and inclusion.
Oral History & Heritage Collection
· Lead the collection of a minimum of 25 oral histories documenting LGBTQ mental health heritage.
· Ensure interviews are conducted ethically and in accordance with Oral History Society guidance and project protocols.
· Coordinate transcription, metadata creation, cataloguing and archive preparation.
· Oversee collection of photographs, documents, memorabilia and contextual materials that support interpretation of MindOut's history.
· Ensure safeguarding, consent and ethical storytelling principles are followed throughout the collection process.
Volunteer Recruitment & Management
· Recruit, train, supervise and support project volunteers.
· Develop clear volunteer roles and learning opportunities.
· Coordinate volunteer involvement in oral history, outreach, events and heritage activities.
· Ensure volunteers receive appropriate induction, support and supervision.
· Create an inclusive and positive volunteering experience that builds skills and confidence.
Heritage Preservation & Digital Archiving
· Work with Queer Heritage South, The Keep and other partners to ensure heritage materials are preserved to recognised standards.
· Oversee processes for cataloguing, digital storage and archival preparation.
· Ensure heritage materials are managed according to agreed metadata, accessibility and licensing requirements.
· Support the creation of sustainable heritage systems and organisational learning that continue beyond the project lifespan.
· Contribute to the development of MindOut's long-term heritage strategy and legacy planning.
Events, Exhibitions & Public Engagement
· Deliver a programme of public engagement activities and community events.
· Coordinate the development of exhibitions, digital outputs and learning resources.

The Role:
We are recruiting for one IPS Employment Specialist role within our Islington IPS Service. This position will be based within the North London NHS Foundation Trust mental health services in the borough of Islington.
As an IPS Employment Specialist, you’ll play an important role in supporting people with lived mental health experience on their recovery journey by supporting them back into paid employment. This is an opportunity to offer ongoing support, to motivate and provide people with hope, while developing the tools and skills required to recover – ultimately transforming their lives.

About the role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Family IDVA to join Birmingham's new Family IDVA Service. This is one of two Senior IDVA roles, with this post being full time (37.5 hours). This innovative city-wide service will provide specialist domestic abuse support to parents aged 16+ and their children under 18, delivering a flexible, whole-family response that meets families at the earliest opportunity and helps prevent the escalation of harm.
Based within Birmingham's Family Hubs, Senior Family IDVAs will provide specialist domestic abuse support to families through risk assessment, safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support, and partnership working. You will manage a complex caseload, working with families experiencing high-risk and complex domestic abuse whilst ensuring the voices and needs of both parents and children remain central to all aspects of support.
Alongside direct casework, you will support the Operations Manager in the day-to-day delivery and development of the service. You will line manage and support a team of approximately five Family IDVAs, providing coaching, supervision, case guidance and performance support to ensure the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed services. You will lead by example, sharing your expertise, promoting best practice and helping to develop a confident and resilient team.
The role will also involve supporting service quality and performance, including case reviews, audits, reporting and ensuring compliance with service standards and contractual requirements. You will work closely with Birmingham Children's Trust, Family Hubs and a range of statutory and community partners to strengthen multi-agency responses and improve outcomes for families affected by domestic abuse.
In addition, you will contribute to the service's training and engagement offer, helping to build awareness and understanding of domestic abuse amongst professionals across Early Help, education, health and community settings.

Purpose of the role
Race Against Dementia is seeking a proactive and relationship-driven Senior Partnerships Officer to support the delivery of our ambitious fundraising strategy. You will play a key role in managing and developing partnerships that generate income and increase global awareness of our work.
Working closely with the Strategic Partnerships Lead, you will support the stewardship and growth of corporate and strategic partnerships, with an additional focus on international fundraising and partnership development. About the role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Family IDVA to join Birmingham's new Family IDVA Service. This is one of two Senior IDVA roles, with this post being part-time (30 hours). This innovative city-wide service will provide specialist domestic abuse support to parents aged 16+ and their children under 18, delivering a flexible, whole-family response that meets families at the earliest opportunity and helps prevent the escalation of harm.
Based within Birmingham's Family Hubs, Senior Family IDVAs will provide specialist domestic abuse support to families through risk assessment, safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support, and partnership working. You will manage a complex caseload, working with families experiencing high-risk and complex domestic abuse whilst ensuring the voices and needs of both parents and children remain central to all aspects of support.
Alongside direct casework, you will support the Operations Manager in the day-to-day delivery and development of the service. You will line manage and support a team of approximately five Family IDVAs, providing coaching, supervision, case guidance and performance support to ensure the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed services. You will lead by example, sharing your expertise, promoting best practice and helping to develop a confident and resilient team.
The role will also involve supporting service quality and performance, including case reviews, audits, reporting and ensuring compliance with service standards and contractual requirements. You will work closely with Birmingham Children's Trust, Family Hubs and a range of statutory and community partners to strengthen multi-agency responses and improve outcomes for families affected by domestic abuse.

Context and Background
The Finance function has responsibility to ensure the accurate recording of all income and expenditure of the NSPCC and its associated companies; the collation and presentation of budget/forecast; monitoring of both consolidated income and expenditure against budget/forecast; and the preparation of statutory annual accounts, tax compliance and associated returns. It is also responsible for the payment of all invoices, collection of monies due, the payment of staff and the provision of advice on financial matters throughout the organisation.
The Senior Finance Business Partner role sits within the Finance & Technology Directorate and reports to the Head of Finance Business Partnering. The role is responsible for the delivery of all aspects of operational financial management within each directorate area or sub-area it supports, through the provision of high-quality financial management and advice, together with comprehensive reporting and analysis, to both inform and aid decision making. The role is expected to operate at both a strategic and operational level, building strong relationships with internal and external partners, and be a key and active member of the Directorate’s senior management teams.
The role may be required to deputise for the Head of Finance Business Partnering and there may also be a requirement to support other Directorates.

Business Partnering
Business partner with Senior Management Team members to develop an in-depth knowledge of their Directorates and to assist with strategic budget and forecast preparation and advice.
Ensure effective relationships with Senior Managers and Leaders across the organisation.
Support the Head of Finance Business Partnering in working collaboratively with the Directorate senior leaders in both the development of the strategic direction of their functions and achievement of strategic objectives.
Act as the primary contact for matters relating to operational financial control and the provision of information within the Directorate, working collaboratively across the organisation.
Take on a value-added role, acting as a trusted advisor, demonstrating the ability to constructively challenge ideas and plans.
Be involved in business and planning meetings in partnership with the Directorate senior leaders and negotiate with key stakeholders and support staff to ensure agreed outcomes and timescales are achieved.
As part of the finance team improve communication, business protocols and business efficiency throughout the team and to share specialist knowledge as appropriate.
Be the finance subject matter expert in the Directorates the role supports, with the ability to evaluate information in context of wider Directorate knowledge. Proactively think about how decisions would affect the wider organisation and Directorate plans in both the present and future, making recommendations to senior leaders as appropriate.
Explain complex financial issues to key stakeholders, developing their understanding of financial information to improve overall effectiveness; empowering them to take full responsibility for the financial management of the budgets they govern.
Promote a culture which empowers budget holders and supports the delivery of value for money services, including reporting on benchmark information and key cost drivers where appropriate.
Where appropriate, work with the Fundraising Information team to support funding applications by providing high quality financial data that accurately portrays our work/activities/services to potential donors, including supporting the follow up reporting required to maintain these relationships.
Budget, Planning, Forecasting and Financial Management
Produce, collate and ensure timely delivery of accurate departmental and Directorate budget and forecasts for the areas the role supports. Ensure relevant budget assumptions are followed; phased budget/forecast templates are completed; along with the production of detailed analysis and commentary backing up the budget and forecasts.
Provide timely, accurate information and advice to budget holders to allow effective management of their budgets and assist them in carrying out their financial duties, constructively challenging them where appropriate.
Highlight potential opportunities and risks; supporting the formulation and implementation of mitigation plans where necessary.
Propose and develop appropriate cost drivers and key performance measures to accurately monitor directorate performance.
Ensure all income and expenditure (both revenue and capital) is correctly accounted for and monitored, commenting on variances to budget/forecast and the effect on outcomes and objectives; assisting budget holders and senior leaders to interpret the information presented. In addition, working with them to take any necessary corrective action arising from the reviews.
Manage the delivery of Directorate month end processing and variance analysis, adhering to timelines set by the Central Finance team. This will include responsibility for month-end data cleansing, journal production and authorisation, which could include prepayments, income & expenditure accruals, income deferrals, recharge journals, restricted and designated fund journals and other general journals.
Prepare and deliver accurate consolidated financial monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc operational performance reporting packs to defined deadlines, with no material errors, omissions or miscoding. To include Directorate monthly operational review and quarterly business review packs.
Present Directorate financial reporting as required.
Analyse, interpret and communicate financial and performance data, and provide financial advice in the form of operational performance and management reports.
Complete financial returns and questionnaires as required.
Prepare revenue and capital project reporting.
Work alongside the Head of Finance Business Partnering to prepare financial models to support the evaluation of any proposed business changes, investment appraisals and subsequent implementation, supporting our stakeholders to prepare robust business cases from a financial perspective, identifying and quantifying associated costs, benefits, risks and funding solutions, in a timely manner.
Own restricted and designated fund reporting, alongside monitoring of appropriate allocation of costs to funds. Accountable for understanding and considering the future implications of pledged and committed funds; escalating concerns and proposing mitigations as appropriate.
Extract information from the integrated financial system and other systems or information sources; developing models and commentary for monthly presentations to budget holders and other audiences as necessary.
Co-ordinate the delivery of information to support the production of the Society’s statutory annual accounts as requested and in accordance with the agreed timetable.
Ensure the Directorates use the organisation’s financial systems (e.g. Proactis for procurement) appropriately and effectively.
Ensure the financial management of the Directorates is as efficient as possible. Implement improvements and developments to reporting, processes and procedures; ensuring changes are documented.
Prepare ad hoc reports for key stakeholders.
Internal Controls and Compliance
Ensure the effective development, implementation and maintenance of financial controls, processes and procedures. Work with both the Directorate’s and with other members of finance to ensure best practice is applied across systems and processes.
Promote and abide with the Society's financial policies, ensuring Directorate compliance at all times.
Maintain the integrity of the Directorate’s finances ensuring compliance with appropriate accounting standards, financial regulations and internal procedures. In addition, ensure audit trails are transparent and complete.
Train staff in the application of statutory regulations, internal control procedures and standards and to provide regular follow-up training.
Provide accurate timely information for internal and external auditors and to take follow-up action on reports issued as required.
Keep up to date with local or national legislation and reporting requirements and to advise of these additional regulations and ensure they are complied with. This might for example include Charity Reporting requirements in Northern Ireland/Scotland.
Training
Identify requirements and train key stakeholders and other relevant staff in matters relating to financial management, compliance and processes. Provide verbal advice, written procedures (working with other finance staff) and financial training, to enable budgetary control and decision making on the effective use of resources, along with contribution to the production of financial information and transparent financial management.

Substantial experience in the preparation of financial management information including production and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, financial models and delivery of associated financial management reporting, analysis and commentary.
Highly numerate with ability to analyse numbers critically and extract pertinent information for management, with a proactive approach to creative problem solving and implementing financial controls.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?
In this role, you will take a leading position within a dynamic mental health crisis and early‑intervention service, managing a diverse caseload while providing skilled de‑escalation, robust risk assessment and coordinated multi‑agency support. You will guide and empower service users to engage with community services, while also offering day‑to‑day leadership to Recovery Workers, Peer Support Workers and volunteers, ensuring consistent, high‑quality practice. Acting as shift lead when required, you will make informed, real‑time decisions to maintain safe and effective service delivery. A key part of the role involves supporting student placements, contributing to learning plans and offering reflective supervision. You will work closely with the Service Manager and Area Manager to monitor performance, contribute to audits and quality reviews, and drive ongoing service development. You will also play an active role in recruitment, onboarding and volunteer integration, and represent the service in partnership forums, strengthening pathways with local crisis teams and community organisations to ensure continuity of care and smooth transitions for service users.
Please notes this role required you to work from 2pm - 10pm, including weekends and bank holidays.
