About the role

Your key purpose will be to provide high‑level executive and governance support to the CEO, the Directors Team and the Board of Trustees, ensuring they are organised, informed and enabled to perform at their best.

In this pivotal role, you will manage the CEO’s diary and communications, prepare and coordinate key documentation, oversee governance administration, and ensure board and committee meetings run smoothly. You will also act as a key point of contact for Trustees, supporting recruitment, compliance checks, mandatory training, and the distribution of board papers.

You will play a crucial part in keeping the organisation running efficiently by maintaining effective systems, coordinating meetings and minutes, monitoring policy reviews, and assisting with internal and external communications on behalf of the CEO.

About you

This role requires experience in providing high-level executive or PA support within a complex organisation, including managing demanding diaries, handling confidential correspondence, and preparing high-quality papers and minutes. Experience supporting governance, boards or committees would be highly advantageous.

You will also be able to organise and prioritise a varied workload, work independently with minimal supervision, and exercise sound judgement when escalating issues or acting on behalf of the CEO when delegated. You will be an excellent communicator, capable of building effective working relationships with senior leaders, Trustees, staff, and external partners.

You will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong IT skills, and a commitment to maintaining professional standards, confidentiality, and accuracy in all aspects of your work.

A Rocha UK is a unique Christian nature conservation charity that mobilises Christians and churches to care for the natural world. We equip and inspire Christians to enjoy, nurture, and defend nature; and we run the Eco Church and related eco denominational schemes, such as Eco Dioceses. Our Conservation work is a core component of the project portfolio at A Rocha UK. We manage our own nature reserve at Foxearth Meadows in Essex and manage the Partners in Action programme, which consists of a network of over 60 organisations and sites managing over 20,000 acres of land for nature. The conservation team is also responsible for oversight of our scientific work and related data. Currently we are working on a trial scheme to assess climate resilient tree planting techniques at four locations around the UK.

Purpose of role:

This role will make a significant contribution to the efficient running of the Conservation Department by supporting the Head of Conservation in their leadership of the programme and the wider Conservation team in the smooth running of the Partners in Action programme. This year A Rocha UK will be undertaking a strategic review of our conservation work and the Conservation Team Administrator will play a role in supporting the admin function behind the review process. The post will play a key role in the facilitation of good communication between the Conservation Team and other departments, to ensure efficient and effective joint working. The successful candidate will possess good organisational skills, with excellent teamwork skills, and discretion in handling confidential information.

City Transformation is at the heart of St Mark’s Battersea Rise. Role Responsibilities

Delivery of the Spear Programme – Group and 1:1 coaching

• Preparing and coaching Spear Foundation sessions and 1-1s, ensuring that young people are engaged, retained and work-ready by the end of this initial phase of the programme.
• Building relationships with young people on the programme and managing culture and attitudes in the training room.
• Adapting the Spear coaching material according to the needs of the Trainees and managing behaviour effectively.

Delivery of Spear Career

• Delivering weekly Spear Career sessions (including running workshops with past Trainees), maintaining records and reporting on statistics, and creatively developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees.

Training the Assistant Coach

• Contributing towards the training and developing of the Assistant Coach by modelling excellent coaching and giving regular feedback.

Trainee Recruitment 

• Developing relationships with Job Centres and local referral agencies to ensure that the maximum number of Spear Trainees are enrolled on each programme. This involves liaising with referral agencies, active face-to-face recruitment and monitoring recruitment statistics.

You will coordinate and deliver a varied programme of activities including fundraising events, sector conferences, networking opportunities and national campaigns such as Professional Care Workers’ Week. About the role

This Debt Advice Case Manager role combines both technical and pastoral elements. It will involve building a client case, untangling sometimes complex situations, liaising with creditors, providing guidance for volunteers, and discerning and communicating the appropriate choices and strategies for the client. You will also need to lead client appointments and support clients through what at times can be emotionally difficult situations. Ideally, we are looking for someone with prior debt advice experience, and who has experience of working with vulnerable clients and supporting volunteers. However, we will also consider employing someone as a trainee Debt Advice Case Manager if they are able to demonstrate that they possess the skills, maturity, and determination to become proficient in this role.

• 3-5 days per week
• Two roles available, one in the Hammersmith area, and one in the Kensington area
• Being available onsite is an important aspect of this role and so this role is hybrid with around 60% of your time in one of our branches and 40% remote. The exact split between remote/onsite working will be by agreement with the line manager and to meet the needs of the service which could change over time. For 135 years, Derbyshire Children’s Holiday Centre has provided seaside holidays for children from Derbyshire who are living in poverty, experiencing trauma, or facing multiple disadvantages. Who you are: We need energised and resilient self-starters with experience in supporting traumatic grief and post-traumatic stress. a background in providing high-quality emotional support and advocacy. Experience in the following sectors often provides a robust toolkit of high-level transferable skills: Police or criminal justice roles, family liaison, counselling or trauma support, health and social care, casework in any related field

- Experience with people affected by trauma, sudden bereavement, or serious injury

About the role

Your focus will be to deliver high quality housing advice and advocacy in line with the hub’s local community priorities, working alongside people who are experiencing homelessness and bad housing to identify issues facing local communities.  You will plan and deliver casework to individuals and communities to resolve their housing situation and engage with community groups, local organisations and individuals to understand local housing issues and raise awareness of people’s housing rights.

You will also work in local community settings and with community groups to deliver advice and rights awareness workshops and make sure that people with lived experience of homelessness have opportunities to share their story, give their opinions and participate in the design and delivery of Shelter services. Offering day to day support to volunteers, providing learning, shadowing and mentoring and being a consistent role model for our values are also key aspects of the role.

About you

You are able to listen to, engage and work with individuals and communities and with all stakeholders, including people with lived experience of homelessness. You will have experience, knowledge of and/or proven ability in housing and homelessness advice and advocacy and are able to progress to specialist level knowledge, as well as the ability to carry out casework related interviews, maintain detailed case records, advise and support clients to make informed decisions. A proven record of delivering group workshops and presentations is essential, as is a collaborative, flexible and professional approach to your work.

Shelter Sheffield has 70 staff plus volunteers and has been providing housing advice and support services within the area for over 20 years, specialising in emergency homelessness work, intensive support to children and families, people experiencing domestic abuse and people experiencing multiple disadvantage. We provide front line support to over 5,000 people a year in the city and work to improve the underlying systems that prevent people from living securely in suitable, safe, affordable accommodation.

Do you want to join an organisation committed to addressing low literacy levels amongst people in prison?
 
Shannon Trust are delighted to be working with His Majesty’s Prison & Probation Service (HMPPS) to provide peer-led learning programmes at HMP Bedford and HMP Littlehey. Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading and numeracy programme, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.  
 
Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach. 
 
This role is a fixed term role until 31st May 2027 with the opportunity to be made permanent subject to contract renewal.
 
The role will be prison-based.
