Work location
Remote, based in London. There will be occasional requirements to attend events and meetings in person.

Hours and pay
This is a part-time role with flexible working hours, starting at approximately 16 hours per week. This can be worked as two full days per week or four hours per day across four days, by agreement.
The hourly rate is £14.80 – £18.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Our Supporter Care Assistant plays a pivotal role at War Child as the first point of contact for many of our supporters and the general public. Part of the Supporter Engagement Department but working across the organisation and the wider War Child family, you’ll be joining a team which prides itself on innovation and collaboration in order to inspire our fundraisers and supporters. The Supporter Care Assistant deals with a wide range of fundraising enquiries through phone, email and post: this is a varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll be supporting our vital work by providing timely, compassionate and appropriate communications, as well as ensuring efficient administration of donations and maintenance of accurate database records.

We’ll need you to be able to work on a Monday, as it’s our busiest day in the team. A regular on-site presence is essential too as managing the incoming post is a core part of the role, so we’ll need you to be based in our London office for a minimum of one day per week. You can work remotely on other days if you choose and we are happy to consider other flexible working arrangements.

Luton Town FC Community Trust is seeking to recruit an Oral Health Project Officer. This is a full-time role focused on the delivery of an oral health education programme within targeted primary schools and community settings in Luton over 37.5 hours per week. The individual will be employed on a three-year fixed-term contract.

We are seeking an individual who has previous experience of delivery within an education setting to join our team. Specific oral health training will be provided as required.

JOB ROLE OUTLINE

This role will lead the design, creation and delivery of an oral health education programme in primary schools and community settings that will provide vital awareness and support for children and their families.

Tooth decay rates in children, in Luton, are amongst the highest in the country. The project will work collaboratively with Luton Public Health and other locally focused oral health partners as a collective force for change.

AIMS

• Create awareness and lifelong habits of the importance of good oral health.
• Supporting children and families to understand contributing factors to poor oral health, including sharing public health messages that encourage positive behaviour change.
• Delivery of an outstanding programme of content.
• Support and strengthen the wider network of oral health partners to enable coordinated action and long-term behaviour change, including active participation in the Luton Dental Alliance.
• Highlighting demonstrable impact to support the sustainability and legacy of the project beyond the initial funding period.

ROLE SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with partners to develop and design the educational element of the project.
• Deliver a high-quality educational offer which uses sport as a tool to engage disaffected young people, encouraging good oral health and enhancing their mental wellbeing, attendance, attainment, and life skills through innovative and tailored curriculum delivery.
• Recruit targeted schools to create a delivery plan throughout the academic year.
• In school delivery of the education programme to provide much needed support and awareness to children and families.
• Collect relevant data to ensure that Community Trust reporting obligations are met with funders.
• Work with schools and partners to create high quality case studies that demonstrate the impact of the project.

About the role:

This role will work across Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent, but will be based in our Stafford office. Hybrid working is considered following our mandatory six month probationary period. Travel across the whole of Staffordshire will be required.

As an IDVA you will be asked to:

• Provide a pro-active, high quality, frontline service to victims of domestic abuse through on-going risk assessment, individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.

Brief role description:

This role holder will support our employees throughout their employment lifecycle and will also provide support with payroll and recruitment. This role ensures that all people related administration is handled effectively, efficiently and professionally. 

Main responsibilities:

• Ensure all HR-related administration linked to the employee lifecycle, benefits & documentation is processed efficiently and appropriately,  including management of data changes with external providers.

• Run Monthly payroll processes for countries outside of APAC & resolving issues with payroll providers. 

• Provide support to our recruitment process from advertising, screening candidates and arranging interviews to answering queries from candidates.

• Own and deliver HR related projects as and when required such as the annual performance review process and annual salary review cycle.

• Ensuring there are office health and safety protocols (including risk assessments, fire marshals, and first aiders) for the UK offices, maintaining compliance with local regulations.

Essential experience requirements:

• Experience with working in HR.

• Experience of preparing monthly payrolls for external processing and administering benefits with third party providers. 

• Experience of issuing employee documentation & supporting the administration of the employee lifecycle (leavers, absences etc).

• Experience helping solve problems and being confident communicating in a variety of formats.

• Knowledge of legislation and regulations relating to HR, as well as knowledge of best practice.

• Proactive at identifying and implementing improvements in processes such as payroll and recruitment.

• Experience in managing personnel records and ensuring these are kept up to date and accurate at all times.

Desirable experience requirements:

• Experience with working in the charity sector.

• Experience in managing recruitment.

Professional certification requirements:

• CIPD Level 5  (Level 7 desirable) or equivalent experience.

The Corporate and Community Fundraiser will manage a successful corporate portfolio worth c.£400k, made up of a strong mix of long-standing partners and new business. Corporate fundraising is the organisation’s largest income stream, with events as a key secondary driver, meaning this role sits at the heart of future income growth.

This role would suit a Corporate Fundraising Officer looking to step up, or someone keen to take on a larger, more strategic portfolio while remaining hands-on with delivery and relationship management.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and growing an established portfolio of corporate partners
• Developing new business, with a focus on local corporate opportunities
• Building strong, long-term relationships across a mix of partnership types
• Supporting corporate-led events and wider community fundraising activity
• Working closely with fundraising and communications colleagues
• Accurately recording activity and income using a CRM

Location & working pattern

The organisation is based on a beautiful site between Teddington and Hampton Wick, offering a genuinely lovely working environment.

The team typically works 2–3 days per week in the office, with Tuesday as the anchor team day, and the remainder working from home.

About you

You’ll bring:

• Experience in corporate fundraising or partnerships
• A track record of managing relationships and delivering income
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A proactive, collaborative and relationship-led approach
• Experience of community fundraising and events would be welcome but is not essential.

Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week)

Location: London N4, but with with the flexibility to work from home part of the week.

About the role

This is an exciting time to join our successful fundraising team and support the generation of income for our life-saving work through charitable Trusts and Foundations.
