What you’ll do

Be responsible for coordinating the voids and lettings process with Housing, Property Services, Contractors, Local Authorities, and Customers to ensure properties are relet within our clients agreed targets and with the relevant compliance/safety certification.

Be responsible for co-ordinating mutual exchange process, applications received from customers, liaising with Housing Officers and other landlords to ensure accurate decisions are made within target with the relevant compliance/safety certification received.

Make or recommend changes to make continuous improvements in service delivery, to ensure that services provided offer best value for money and comply with our clients targets and standards.

Ensure the voids, lettings and mutual exchange process meets all regulatory and audit requirements.

Provide effective, accurate and high-quality advice and information to customers making enquiries about a range of housing management issues, including housing and tenancy advice.

About You:

1. Previous experience in an administrative role preferably involving either letting, voids and mutual exchanges.

2. Previous experience of working co-operatively in partnership to deliver services.

3. Experience in contributing to change, reviewing or designing processes.

4. Competent in the use of MS Office packages (including Word, Excel, Outlook).

5. A good working knowledge of computer software applications to provide a range of technical and administrative support.

Support Workers are responsible for supporting people with autism, learning disabilities and behavioural needs to live full lives, develop skills and maintain their wellbeing.

The Pelham road Service will be 5 new self-contained flats, for customers with learning disabilities, Autism and Complex needs, and we are looking to build a staff team with an excellent value base to support the customer to build their new life and develop their skills as an independent person.

Support Workers will need to be flexible and shifts will require some mornings, afternoons/Evenings and weekends.

The working pattern for this role consist of: 7.30am-23pm, 2.30pm-10pm, 10am-4pm

What you’ll do:
• Supporting the customer to undertake a full timetable of preferred activities including sport and leisure activities, attending community groups, visiting local amenities, and introducing them to new activities to expand their horizons and networks;
• Developing the customer’s independent living skills and involving them in all aspects of maintaining and developing their home, including cooking, shopping, cleaning and decorating;
• Enabling the customer to keep up with the important people in their life and to meet new people with shared interests;
• Supporting the customer to communicate their wants and needs, and communicating with them in a person-centred way;
• Supporting the customer to manage their anxieties and frustrations, using Positive Behaviour Support and Autism-specific approaches;
• Collating a range of behavioural data and essential paperwork to be analysed within our local management structure;
• Driving the customer to activities using the customer’s vehicle, in rotation with the wider team;
• Communicating with family members and a range of other key stakeholders including social work, psychology and commissioning teams;
• Acting in accordance with the policies and procedures of Look Ahead Care & Support plus those specific to the service including any statutory requirements;
• Consistently reviewing the customer’s life goals and their progress towards achieving them, in partnership with them and those important to them;

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Coach to join our Independent Approved Premises (IAP) covering the night shift on a rolling rota. You will play a key role in supporting our residents who have left prison and are based within a residential setting to reintegrate into the community. You will develop and engage with our residents to produce tailored support plans which support their individual needs in successful rehabilitation and reintegration within the community. You will identify their needs, goals and skills, and then support and motivate them to achieve their potential. The service holds a strong focus on public protection and effective risk management.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents at all times
• Engaging with residents throughout the night, ensuring they are adhering to their license conditions. This may include planning activities to engage with them such as movie nights, games nights, and other activities applicable
• Be a valued and reliable member of the team on the night shift, completing handovers for day colleagues for a seamless service
• Building trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins

The Sports Development Officer role develops, leads and coordinates sports activity programmes that increase participation and use sport to improve health, reduce crime and build social inclusion - working to the Selby Trust’s ‘Selby Active Sports Strategy’. 

In this role you will: 

• Grow and diversify Selby Active's sports portfolio while sustaining existing relationships (i.e. charities, the NHS, local authorities (Haringey Council and Enfield Council), funders (Including Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, England and Wales Cricket Board and Middlesex in the Community), schools and colleges and sport national governing bodies (NGBs).

Responsibilities

Liturgical, Pastoral and Ministry Support (30%)

• Oversee planning for key services across the diocese, including confirmations and institutions, maintain digital resources for churches and support the Bishop at these services as needed.

• On the Bishop's behalf, consult and advise Cathedral, incumbents and churchwardens on the planning and delivery of any service in which the Bishop plays a part, ensuring Orders of Service are signed off and accessible to the Bishop as appropriate.

• Discern the next season of support for 'Nurturing Prayer' at both diocesan and parish level, work in collaboration with the Discipleship & Ministry team to develop a strategic approach. As required, lead on the planning and delivery of activity.

• Support the worship and prayer life of key gatherings; such as Bishop's Council and Diocesan Synod, as well as other diocesan events.

• Assist the bishop in his teaching ministry as needed, research matters, attend key leadership training days, and support and contribute to the programme as appropriate.

• Take opportunities to lead and preach at services or teaching events at the invitation of parishes across the diocese.

• Advise on and provide bespoke prayers and liturgies, faithful to the Anglican tradition, for a variety of civic and ecclesiastical occasions.

• In collaboration with Bishop's Ecumenical Advisor and Churches Together Nottinghamshire (CTN) fulfil the role of Diocesan Ecumenical Officer (DEO)

Safeguarding & Episcopal administration (35%)

• In conjunction with the Registry, advise on and ensure that clergy licences and Permissions to Officiate are administered in a timely and appropriate manner, in line with all requirements for Safer Recruitment and House of Bishops' policies.

• Ensure the Bishop's Office support parishes in their compliance with all legal requirements including in relation to the suspension of benefices and pastoral reorganisation, service provision and building usage.

• Oversee administration for C4 applications, the Overseas Clergy Measure and Eucharistic Assistants.

• Support the administration of the Clergy Discipline Measure and complaint and grievance procedures relating to clergy.

• Be the first point of contact in the Bishop's Office for safeguarding matters; liaise with the Diocesan Safeguarding Officer; and attend diocesan and national safeguarding planning group meetings on behalf of the bishop, where appropriate. Represent the diocesan bishop at the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Board (DSAP).

• Work with the Bishop's Office team to ensure the effective management of clergy files and processes, in line with the 2021 Clergy Files Policy Guidance, GDPR, and clergy appointments, including the accurate maintenance of the National Clergy Register.

Working within our Household Energy Services (HES) team, the Trainee Energy Advisor role is for those who would like to learn the skills and gain experience of providing energy advice to households.

3. JOB PURPOSE

In the heart of London’s Knowledge Quarter, the Aga Khan Centre (AKC) is a place for education, knowledge, cultural exchange and insight into Muslim Civilisations and is home to three organisations founded by His Highness the Aga Khan, The Institute of Ismaili Studies (IIS), the Aga Khan University Institute for the Study of Muslim Civilisations (AKU-ISMC) and the Aga Khan Foundation United Kingdom (AKF(UK)).

This role is responsible for managing the effective functioning of the Aga Khan Centre to provide safe, efficient, secure, legally compliant and environmentally friendly spaces for residents, employees, students and visitors.

1. Leading a small team, the Facilities and Operations Manager will be responsible for providing a seamless support service to manage and deliver high quality proactive and reactive maintenance to a standard which is in accordance with the nature of the Aga Khan Centre and provides value for money. The role covers all aspects of repairs & maintenance including plumbing, air conditioning, electrics, building fabric, health & safety and emergency support and requires the postholder to be hands on, supporting the maintenance team with technical support, knowledge & coordination as well as executing PPM plans, managing contractors and overseeing and inspecting works.

The Facilities and Operations Manager will be a natural people person who leads with warmth, fairness and consistency, builds strong relationships across the team and the wider building, and is confident in managing day-to-day people situations with empathy, sound judgment and a balanced approach.

This is an office-based role, Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day (including a 1-hour unpaid break), to be worked flexibly within the hours of 8am and 6pm. Whilst weekend work is rare, there may be occasional requirements to attend site outside of normal working hours. The postholder will also be required to be on call for out of hours emergencies.

4.  KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

4.1 AKC Building Operations

· Oversee and manage the teams responsible for the reception, security and cleaning.

· To prepare and keep up to date the Facilities Management (FM) Plan for AKC and the approach taken for each ‘hard’ and ‘soft’ FM service, including planned preventative maintenance and lifecycle replacements, ensuring that a suitable, safe, high-quality operating environment is provided.

· To act as a point of contact for technical support in order to reduce supplier callouts and ensure the correct supplier is allocated to resolve the problem, after issues have been looked at in-house first.

· To manage, plan and monitor the day-to-day repairs and maintenance activities of the building management team, ensuring works are completed on time, to the highest quality and in line with the approved FM plan.

· To coordinate and manage activities of suppliers working in and around AKC including checking and approving completed work, ensuring it is on budget, within agreed timescales and to the quality required.

· To act on defects highlighted in suppliers’ reports and ensure resolution following up on any unresolved issues that could affect plant or equipment performance and safety.

· To ensure the AKC maintenance reporting system is updated with work carried out and outstanding tasks.

· To ensure maintenance supplies, spares and stock levels are monitored and supplies are always available.

· To receive, review, store and respond to suppliers’ reports, i.e. lifts, eye bolts, water sampling, lighting protection, etc. and supply a level of technical advice to ensure compliance with the relevant legislation.

· To maintain and review equipment asset registers and update accordingly.

· Responsible for the Health and Safety policy for AKC and liaising with outsourced consultants to ensure that AKC is compliant and required checks are carried out.

· To maintain all maintenance and H&S documents, registers and systems at all times and act as knowledge-holder on behalf of AKF(UK) for Operation Manuals, as-built drawings, maintenance records, licences and operating certificates related to AKC.

· Working in conjunction with the AKC IT team and external providers be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the core building services systems including for FM, Room Booking and Security.

· To adhere to the AKC environmental policy promoting and driving energy & water saving initiatives as well as recycling initiatives at all times.

· Plan and implement minor projects to optimize space utilisation within AKC. Participate as a key stakeholder in major projects.

· Support the relationships with the tenants of the AKC retail units.

· Ensure that the gardens embedded within the AKC, and the surrounding grounds and gardens are properly cared for and landscaped.

· Liaise with the Estate Landlord and their agents regarding estate management, central services, infrastructure and security issues and maintenance of the public realm around AKC

· Liaise with other building managers on the KX Estate and maintain good neighbourly relations.

· Respond to emergency situations or other urgent issues involving AKC.

4.2 AKC Building Administration

· To prepare an annual operational plan and budget for the AKC building management team.

· To provide commentary and analysis for the monthly building management finance report and work with the Property Finance Manager to ensure that there is an up to date forecast at all times.

· To lead any supplier procurement processes related to building management.

· Monitor and approve all building management supplier invoices and staff expenses for payment in line with approved budgets. Seek additional approvals for unbudgeted or excess expenditure.

· To ensure that safeguarding processes are embedded into all building management operations, all building management supplier contracts and the building management policies and processes.

· To routinely review standards of service and ensure best practices are being followed and to benchmark the costs of AKC building management against equivalent buildings to assess and demonstrate value for money.

· Manage and maintain the SLA standards, KPIs and targets for the AKC building management team.

· To own the AKC building management risk register ensuring that it is up to date at all times.

· To attend the AKF(UK) Property Committee meetings

· To ensure all tasks from the Security Audit are completed promptly, while maintaining up to date policies including the Critical Incident Plan and Office Security Plan

4.3 AKC Events

· To ensure that the building management team support the events management team with all large and complex events, including organising facilities for car parking, traffic control, security, first aid, and hospitality.

· To ensure that the building management team supports the dismantling and removal of the event materials and clearing the venue efficiently.

4.4 People Management

· Help the AKF(UK) CEO and Senior Management Team promote an organisational culture of teamwork and service, high-quality, transparency and accountability, innovation, and inclusiveness.

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen within the organisation to deliver case management interventions across Warwickshire, as part of the Drive Project.  

Drive is an innovative national project that aims to improve the lives and safety of victims and children, by holding high-risk perpetrators to account. The project combines case management of perpetrators with a co-ordinated multi-agency response. 

As Case Manager, you will strive to make contact and work on a one-to-one basis with perpetrators to pro-actively secure engagement, influence attitudinal and behavioural change and link to complementary services. 

To do this, you will work alongside existing agencies to design a co-ordinated, intervention plan, addressing identified needs and risks, and promoting understanding of the impact of abusive behaviours.  

You will work closely with the IDVA’s to review risk, develop safety plans, and improve outcomes for all parties involved.  

You will be passionate and committed to working within a multi-disciplinary team and will have a demonstrable track record of working with complex need service users. This may be within the field of domestic abuse, and/or mental health, substance misuse and offending.  

Extensive training will be provided which may include the opportunity to gain accreditation for working with perpetrators of DA.   

Full driving licence is required.

Operational Manager – Supported Housing

We are seeking an experienced Operational Manager to lead two specialist supported housing services, helping people build independence through recovery, housing and employment.

Position: Operational Manager – Supported Housing
Salary: £36,729 per annum, plus £1,218 Essential User Car Allowance and management on-call allowance
Location: Brighton
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract 
Working pattern: Hybrid – up to one day per week working from home, with additional flexibility when report writing

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead two established supported housing services helping people experiencing homelessness, recovery from substance use and barriers to employment to move towards greater independence.

You will manage two small, experienced teams across services providing shared accommodation in Brighton. While each service has its own remit and outcomes, both focus on providing safe accommodation alongside the support people need to rebuild their lives through recovery, employment, training and increased independence.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading, supporting and developing staff through supervision, appraisals, training and performance management
• Ensuring services operate safely, effectively and in line with agreed outcomes
• Managing referrals and supporting effective client pathways and move-on
• Overseeing safeguarding, health and safety, risk assessments and operational compliance
• Developing strong relationships with voluntary, statutory and specialist partner organisations
• Monitoring performance, budgets, data and service outcomes
• Producing reports for stakeholders and funders
• Supporting continuous service improvement and learning
• Participating in a paid management on-call rota

About you

You will be an experienced and resilient people manager with a professional background in supported housing, homelessness, addiction and recovery, social care or complex needs.

You will have experience of line management and team supervision, alongside the ability to manage competing priorities, risk and challenging situations. Knowledge of Psychologically Informed Practice and Trauma Informed Care is important, as are strong communication, partnership-working and report-writing skills.

Above all, you will be someone who can support and motivate both staff and clients while maintaining high standards of safety, accountability and service delivery.
