Job description and person specification

This is an exciting and varied role that encompasses all aspects of our fundraising activity and will support the development of relationships with our individual donors, Trusts and Foundations, Corporate Partners, and Community/Faith Groups. Our ideal candidate will have experience of working in a charity or other related organisation, in a fundraising and / or marketing team, and will bring relevant, transferable experience to apply to this role. You will work closely with the fundraising team to research, steward, and help secure funding and on your own initiative. Your work will play a key role in enabling our mission to help unlock lasting freedom among women who have survived trafficking, exploitation and other forms of violence.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development of our individual giving programme including the planning and delivery of fundraising appeals and campaigns.
• Ensure donations are promptly acknowledged and recorded on our fundraising database, Donorfy.
• Lead the development of our use of Donorfy to record and report on our fundraising data, and manage donor relationships.
• Support the planning and delivery of key fundraising events including our annual Gala fundraising event.
• Conduct periodic and ad hoc prospect research on previous and prospective funders and identify new funding opportunities under the supervision of the Trusts and Foundations Grants lead.
• Support the Trusts and Foundations Grants lead to maintain a calendar of deadlines and reporting requirements
• Coordinate periodic mail outs to Trusts and Foundations in the small/general category.
• Support the cultivation and stewardship of corporate supporters under the direction of the Head of Fundraising.
• Assist with developing corporate partnership proposals, and other communications including periodic newsletters and social
• Help coordinate volunteer opportunities for our corporate partners
• Provide general admin support for corporate partners and corporate enquiries.
• Build relationships with local community and faith-based groups, providing support and materials for community-led fundraising activities.
• Represent the organisation at relevant events or meetings, when appropriate
• Contribute to team planning, reporting, and income forecasting

  How are staff supported to work remotely? 

VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. Employees including Team Leaders are homebased for Administration and meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community.

We have an exciting opportunity to join one of our teams in Southwark as Assistant Support Worker (known internally as Duty Worker). You'll be able to develop valuable skills and experience while playing a key role in providing support to St Mungo’s clients.

Where you will work: Grange Road is a 29 bed - high complex needs support project situated in Southwark, commissioned by the City of London.

About the role

In the role of Duty Worker, you will be the first point of contact at reception for St Mungo’s clients and visitors and have the opportunity to create a welcoming and supportive environment within the project. Other responsibilities will include:

• Jointly running the project day to day with other members of the team.
• Working on reception to answer phones, oversee entry to the building, and provide basic advice and support to clients.
• Keeping communal areas and office space clean and tidy.
• Coordinating important Health and Safety checks and other administrative duties.
• Work alongside the team to provide a person-centred support to residents and clients.

Shift pattern: 3 week rolling rota, mix of early and late shifts. 1 weekend worked every 3 weeks (both Saturday and Sunday are 12.5hrs shifts).

About you

Job Title: Housing Support Worker

Location: Warwickshire, Dispersed Accommodation (mainly based in South Warwickshire)

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Housing Support Worker to provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children living in our dispersed refuge accommodation in Warwickshire.

You will be joining the Warwickshire Dispersed Safe Accommodation service. This service will provide emergency safe accommodation across Warwickshire with high-quality domestic abuse support, ‘by-and-for’ services for survivors of domestic abuse and their children. Housing Support Workers will work closely with the Floating Support Workers and Child Support Workers (who provide the personal support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children) to ensure that the emergency accommodation and support meets the whole range of survivors’ needs.

The post holder will be responsible for the Health and Safety and maintenance of emergency safe accommodation units in multiple 1–3-bedroom properties across Warwickshire. This will include the practical set up and maintenance of home furnishings and utilities in each property and the management of the cleaning and replacements required between each use of the accommodation unit.

The post holder will provide support to survivors fleeing domestic abuse around accessing housing benefit for the dispersed accommodation and support survivors with exploring and accessing move on accommodation.

The Housing Support Worker (HSW) will be responsible for ensuring that the properties will maintain Refuge’s accommodation standards and comply with all Health and Safety legislation and requirements. 

As part of this role, you will be required to participate in an out-of-hours on call rota.

The post holders will attend all university-based teaching and self-study days required by the education provider, as specified within the agreed curriculum, and work within OTR services for the remaining days of the week using their newly developed skills.

The Rough Sleeping Team in Oxford provide a rapid response service to support people at immediate risk of rough sleeping. We are currently looking for inspirational people to join the Somewhere Safe to Stay Service (SSTS) team as Assessment and Reconnection Workers where no day is the same. You will work as part of a busy, dedicated team while developing the necessary skills to:

• Provide direct support to people new to, or at risk of rough sleeping; working closely with individuals on assessment action plans which fully involves them in their recovery. To do this you will build positive working relationships with a range of services and individuals across Oxford.
• Work on the weekly shift rota including shifts from Mon – Fri 9am – 5pm, and some weekends and bank holidays where required.

Main Purpose of Role

CFAB is a national charity and the UK-branch of the International Social Service network. Our social work team helps to resolve cases involving child protection, children in care, and vulnerable adults when the case crosses international borders. CFAB social workers offer advice and guidance to individuals and local authorities and help to link social work services between the UK and another country. CFAB social workers engage in direct work with beneficiaries through kinship assessments and risk assessments.

The main purpose of the role is: to manage a caseload of complex cases originating in the UK or overseas which involve child protection issues; to support, advise and quality assure the work of social workers in other countries; to deliver training to professionals on issues related to international social work, and: when needed, to complete kinship assessments of family members who have come forward to care for a child in care.

Note: Whilst there are some opportunities to complete direct work with service users, such opportunities are limited as the focus of the role involves supporting social workers abroad and delivering training to UK Local Authorities.

Main duties, tasks and key results

1. To hold a caseload of allocated cases originating in the UK or overseas

• Quality assuring complex kinship and parenting assessments completed by social workers abroad for court proceedings in the UK.
• Managing complex cases requiring liaison with local authorities or individuals in the UK, and the relevant authorities overseas to resolve the case;
• Assessing cases referred to CFAB, identifying the intervention required and the resources/agency to undertake it
• Preparing information for referral abroad or to an agency in the UK;
• Establishing, developing and maintaining relationships with clients and/or agencies in the UK and overseas to ensure the progression of cases to resolution;
• Ensuring that all cases are dealt with in a manner consistent with CFAB guidelines and Social Work England’s’ professional standards;
• Undertaking the required administrative tasks.

2. To participate in running the Advice Line service and responding to enquiries made to CFAB

• Offering advice to local authorities, NGOs and individuals
• Advising on referral procedure and fees
• Sending follow-up documents to enquirers
• Liaising with overseas partners for advice and to establish if services are available

3. To provide training to local authority professionals

• Deliver training sessions, jointly and single-handedly, to UK authorities on issues relating to international child protection, e.g. child trafficking and private fostering
• Present on CFAB’s behalf to conferences on international child protection, as required.

4. To undertake social work assessments

• Undertake kinship assessments of individuals in the UK who have applied to care for a child within their family who is in care in another country;

5. To support the development of the Social Work Team and wider CFAB team through:

• Participation in social work and CFAB team meetings
• Regular supervision meetings with line manager
• Representing CFAB to external partners
• Contributing to special projects as required

6.  To be adaptable and willing to take on new roles and responsibilities as the services of CFAB develop in response to the changing needs

7. To maintain up to date knowledge of legislation and policies affecting the work of CFAB to ensure a high quality consultancy service to service users.

8.  To present, represent and promote the organisation to a range of audiences and settings, including promotional events.

SKILLS/ABILITIES/KNOWLEDGE

Essential

1. Right to work in the UK

2. A thorough and in-depth knowledge of safeguarding issues and all relevant UK legislation and knowledge of international regulations.

3. Strong reporting writing and analytical skills 

4. Ability to use discretion and judgement when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.

5. Ability and commitment to undertake all duties and interactions with employees, partner providers and customers fairly, without unlawful discrimination, and with due regard to CFAB’s equality, diversity and health and safety polices.

6. Knowledge and understanding of cross cultural social care issues and commitment to the charitable services CFAB provides.

7. Excellent spoken and written English.

8. Excellent ICT skills.

Desirable

9. Experience of conducting assessments to inform court proceedings in the UK

10. Experience of working for a charity or NGO

11. Experience of working in international child protection and/or in multicultural settings.

12. Ability to speak and write to a business level in a language relevant to CFAB’s work other than English

Special issues

Occasional requirement to travel within the UK to complete assessments or deliver training.

About you

You are a highly skilled financial analyst with advanced Excel capabilities and experience using business intelligence tools. You thrive on interpreting and visualising complex data, automating processes, and creating actionable insights for both financial and non-financial colleagues. You are adept at managing multiple priorities, possess exceptional attention to detail, and are committed to data integrity. Experience in budgeting, forecasting, Internal financial Reporting and cross-system reconciliations is essential, and charity sector experience would be an advantage.

In this role, you will deliver advanced, data-driven insights that inform strategic and operational decisions across CARE International UK. You will design and maintain financial models, produce impactful reports and dashboards, and lead the automation of reporting processes to enhance efficiency. You will play a role as part of the team in annual budgeting and forecasting, cross-system reconciliations, and process improvements. Collaborating across fundraising, programmes, and support teams, you will act as a centre of expertise for analytics, supporting colleagues in best practice reporting and analysis. To succeed, you will need strong analytical and technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Creative Support is looking for a warm, reliable and proactive Relief Support Worker to join our friendly and passionate staff team in Accrington, Lancashire.

We provide quality care and support to residents with a range of support needs, primarily learning disabilities. No two days will be the same at this service as we support our service users to follow their passions and engage in a range of activities including: movie nights, gardening, board games, arts and crafts and many more!

Your role will include:

- Providing personal care, administering medication and helping with other domestic tasks such as cooking and cleaning,

- Encouraging service users to engage in a range of exciting social activities,

- Developing warm and trusting relationships with service users and their families enabling them to enjoy their time at the service to the fullest,

- You will be paid on a weekly basis.

This is a Relief Support Worker position which enables you to pick up shifts at a time that suits you, which is ideal for fitting around personal commitments, study or caring responsibilities.

Twelve months minimum of previous experience within a care role is an essential requirement for this relief based role, successful applicants must attend mandatory induction training courses to begin this role.
