Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring that purchasing administration from point of order through to payment is administered in line with agreed Service Levels
• Ensuring Suppliers are informed and up to date with payments, striving to ensure positive supplier engagement as a baseline to securing favourable terms
• Ensuring creditors control accounts and purchase ledger are operated accurately, efficiently and to agreed timescales
• Ensuring smooth operation of the payment process

The Job

The Learning Networks Portfolio Manager will:

• Report to the Managing Director

• Be employed on a permanent contract

• Be based remote or hybrid, with regular travel to London

• Be paid a pro rata full-time equivalent salary of £45,000-50,000

The Role In Brief

This position plays a central role in the delivery of Koreo’s work; responsible for a portfolio of the company’s biggest and most established programmes. It will be a varied role and will require someone to lead project teams in the design and delivery of high quality national learning programmes, while also playing a key role in the development of Koreo as an organisation
better able to build a just and regenerative future.

1. Responsible for the successful delivery and development of a portfolio of national learning programmes and projects. This portfolio of work is primarily focused on cross-sector learning programmes that bring cohorts of people together around learning missions. Examples include Civic Futures and the London Engagement Collaborative
with the GLA.
2. Responsible for sustaining and growing the portfolio, and with it Koreo’s profile, network, and income. This might be focused on developing the existing programmes in the portfolio, or could include wider writing, public speaking, pitching and networking
which support the distribution of the work.
3. An internal leadership role in developing a just and inclusive culture in which a diverse team can do its best work. This includes line management of one Project Coordinator, development of organisational practice and process, and work with the team on culture and development.

Strategic Leadership:

Programme Management & Delivery:

● Experience of leading the design and delivery of learning programmes in an equivalent environment. 

● Experience leading projects which required the effective management of a range of stakeholders through project and programme work. You will be able to demonstrate how you have engaged with those stakeholders to build their connection with and investment in the project, and how you managed that work. 

● Experience of designing and facilitating learning/collaboration/experimentation spaces for individuals and groups, either in an organisational or programmatic context. 

● Skills & Knowledge which enable you to design high quality programmes and learning spaces, to support individuals with their learning, and to facilitate group spaces. 

● A familiarity with subjects relevant to Koreo’s work is essential. Successful candidates will likely be interested in subjects like collective impact, new approaches to power, working in and with complex systems, organisational design and psychology, participatory futures, activism and organising, multi-disciplinary practice, and much more that we don’t know about yet.

● An ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a range of stakeholders, with excellent verbal and written skills.

Operational Excellence:

● Experience working in a role which required excellent project planning, management & reporting. 

● Experience working in a role in which you were responsible for building and then delivering against project budgets.

● Experience working with a CRM to manage relationships and programmes of work. 

● An ability to organise and manage yourself, to work and deliver at pace to a high standard across a number of projects, to spot and solve problems as part of a proactive attitude.

● An ability to cope well with competing demands and changing environments, demonstrating flexibility and an ability to work in different settings and with different people.

Development & External Influencing:

● An understanding of the landscape of social change work, with a particular focus on UK non-profit and public sectors and the needs of people, organisations and networks in this space. 

● Experience of winning, and/or growing projects or programmes of work to deliver on a business development target. This may be through growing existing projects, writing proposals/tender responses, or by taking a new idea from concept to operational delivery. Experience of doing this in an equivalent context is desirable.

● An ability to influence externally, with a particular focus on the production of content (in the form of blogs, articles, reports, videos, infographics) that support campaigns and external influencing. 

People & Culture

● An ability to building positive relationships in a small, busy and ambitious team, leading and able to hold relationships with colleagues and our wider community.

● A commitment to your own personal development and learning, and an understanding of how that development will be supported by your work at Koreo.

It’s desirable, but not essential that the person has:

● An understanding of Justice, EDI, and anti-oppression and how to apply that understanding into organisational development.

● Experience of designing and delivering cross sector learning networks.

● Experience of client and account management in a consultancy context.

● Experience of designing spaces for cross-sector groups.

The MCS Foundation are a leading UK charity working on decarbonising homes, heat and energy, with a particular focus on managing the innovative Local Area Retrofit Accelerator programme.

As Programme Manager, you will develop, coordinate and manage a range of projects sitting under the Foundation's Programme area. The projects place the Foundation at the centre of the sector and make progress towards the Foundation's goal of decarbonising all homes in the UK.

In this exciting, newly created role, you will manage projects sitting under the Programmes area of the charity. This is a new area for the Foundation and builds on their work providing grants to third-party organisations. They now want to take a more active role in the delivery of interventions and this role will be key to developing the right interventions and ensuring they deliver the required benefits. The role will be collaborating with other organisations and will involve managing relationships with a range of stakeholders and delivery partners.

A particular focus will be on managing the innovative Local Area Retrofit Accelerator programme. Through this programme, the Foundation will be working with localities around the UK to support local authorities and other key stakeholders in accelerating retrofit at scale by developing and delivering initiatives that will unlock supply and demand side barriers.

The successful candidate will be an experienced Programme Manager with significant knowledge of project management, partnership working and domestic energy efficiency/low carbon heating. Experience of delivering domestic retrofit-related projects, defined as home energy efficiency or heating improvements to reduce energy consumption or carbon would be hugely beneficial - however if not, a strong understanding and knowledge in this area will be crucial. You must be passionate about driving practical solutions to the climate emergency and happy working in a small team, with the ability to work across all levels with the need to be hands on.

You'll bring:

• Proven experience leading and inspiring teams
• A strong understanding of what good looks like in a busy and successful community-led shop, ideally with some experience within Retail or a clear passion for sustainable fashion and knowledge of products and trends
• A can-do attitude and ability to approach challenges in a positive way, knowing when to reach out for support and guidance where you need it.
• Previous charity retail experience is not essential. If you have transferable leadership skills or experience managing volunteers in other settings and are looking for a new challenge, we'd love to hear from you!

The merger of Fight for Sight and Vision Foundation on 1st April 2023 will enable us to address both questions. By combining our strengths and expertise we’ll be the only significant national funder with the efficiency, capability, and capacity to increase investment in medical research and social improvement. We have a clear ambition, led by our CEO, Keith Valentine, who has valuable lived experience of sight loss. Purpose of Job

· To coach, lead and manage a team of volunteers

· Drive sales performance to exceed targets, maximising cost efficiency

· Maximise shop profits through delivery of the retail strategy, including income, gift aid donor sign up and conversion, donations and other income generators.

· To achieve gift aid income objectives, donor sign up and conversion. Improving processes to deliver maximum value, coaching colleagues to success

· Monitor and be accountable for sales and category performance, as well as ensure that the team are aware of and engaged in the shop’s financial performance

Shop Floor

· Ensure sourcing sufficient levels of donated stock locally in collaboration with the shop team

Ensure that all legal and Vision Foundation internal regulations regarding donated stock are adhered to

· Inspire the team to provide a great customer and donor experience, which enables The Vision Foundation to attract new supporters every day. Ensure that feedback, including complaints are escalated to the Area Manager within the agreed timeframes

· Make sure that all procedures for the sale of new products are followed by the volunteer team (if applicable)

Simon Community NI is looking for a dynamic and experienced public affairs professional to lead our policy and public affairs activity. You will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of influencing for change and an ambition to make a difference.  

This role is part of our Growth & Engagement directorate and will work very closely with our CEO and Research & Development function. We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of the political landscape in Northern Ireland, ideally with direct experience of working in homelessness/housing.  This is a new position, and there is a huge amount of opportunity to build a movement of change for people experiencing homelessness across NI.

Job Purpose: Simon Community’s Public Affairs & Policy Manager will lead our efforts in advocating for policies and initiatives that end homelessness across NI. As part of our wider Growth & Engagement team, you will work collaboratively across the public, political and voluntary sectors to amplify the voices of the people we help and advocate for policy change. 
 
The postholder will develop research-based policy positions, identify and deliver clear opportunities for public and political engagement, and mobilise support from a range of stakeholders. You will build a network of constructive relationships with decision makers, influencers and political parties, and engage with the media on a regular basis, acting as a spokesperson for Simon Community when required. 

Essential Criteria:

• At least 3 years’ experience managing a public affairs, policy or media function.
• Experience of communicating complex information clearly, concisely and persuasively, both verbally and in writing.
• Experience of acting as a spokesperson for an organisation.
• Experience of budget and project management.

We are looking for a Charity Shop Manager to cover shifts in both of the Harington Charity Shops in North London. The Charity Shop Manager (Cover) role, will be guaranteed 8.5 hours a week in our Hornsey charity shop. In addition to this there may be other variable hours over and above this, where they will be asked to provide cover when the Charity Shop Managers or Shop Assistants are on leave at either the Archway or Hornsey Charity Shops. Please note the salary is £28,598 pro rata depending on the number of hours worked. We are looking for someone who can be extremely flexible and adaptable to change. This would suit someone who is looking for extra hours of work around their other life commitments.

They inspire and lead a diverse team of staff, volunteers and students with learning differences completing work experience in retail, creating a caring and supportive environment for people to flourish.

Our two London charity shops are vital in raising funds from the sale of pre-loved, donated stock to fund Harington's work to support young people with learning differences into employment and independence.  But they are more than just shops, they play a vital role in local communities in Hornsey and Archway, offering a warm and welcoming place for people to shop and volunteer.

Harington is an Ofsted regulated specialist college and charity based in north London, working with young people with learning differences aged 16-25. Our students undertake individualised learning programmes that lead to vocational qualifications and other aims, including gardening, retail, English, maths, employability and independent living.  We also deliver a supported internship programme.   

Our charity's learning centres in Highgate and Hornsey alongside our charity's gardening business and two charity shops, provide a unique opportunity for students to practically apply their learning on work experience placements. We also work with other employers toprovide opportunities in other settings to meet the aspirations of our students.
