We are looking for an experienced Regional Opperations Lead, to coordination all aspects of the StreetDoctors operations within the Wales and South West Region and to ensure our programmes are fit for the future.

We are an award-winning national charity which trains over 17,000 young people affected by street violence each year in emergency first-aid through a team of 250 healthcare volunteers and youth workers. We empower young people with the skills to become part of the solution to violence by developing the skills and confidence to save lives and increasing their understanding of the medical and psychological consequences of violence.

As the StreetDoctors lead for the Region, you will provide leadership in partnership development, volunteer management, the delivery of training and maintaining quality standards.

The key areas of focus include:

• To create, develop and maintain partnerships with a range of organisations including, funders, commissioners, community organisations, criminal justice organisations, education providers and youth organisations.
• To develop and manage engaged volunteers and youth workers and ensure their expectations are aligned to the organisation's objectives and provide the best volunteering experience possible.
• To ensure the quantity and quality of training sessions and projects meet the required targets and new opportunities are maximised.

• A professional accountancy qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent) or equivalent experience

Role Overview: Fundraising and Operations Director

The successful candidate will lead RLS’s income generation through our next phase of development. You’ll oversee our relationships with key funders, individual giving, our approach to major donors and our communications. You’ll work closely with the Management Team and trustees to set and implement fundraising strategy and highlight and manage risk.

As a member of the Management Team, you’ll be involved in the day-to-day leadership and oversight of the organisation, with involvement in decisions from strategy to HR, project design and many other aspects of our work.

Core Responsibilities:

Fundraising strategy and development 

• Lead the development and delivery of RLS’s fundraising strategy to meet our funding targets and deliver our strategy.
• Meaningfully involve and guide the Management Team, trustees and Fundraising Officer in strategy development and delivery. 
• Develop new funding sources as appropriate.
• Ensure that funding sources fit with RLS’s values and our moral and ethical fundraising policy.

Organisational leadership 

• Work with the Management Team and trustees to lead on the delivery of RLS’s strategic objectives.
• Work with the Management Team to lead RLS, including finding creative solutions to issues as they arise and ensuring the smooth running of the organisation.
• Foster a supportive work environment that’s true to RLS’s values.

Lead on funder relationships 

• Develop and cultivate relationships with potential funders.

• Provide high quality line management to the Fundraising Officer.

Person Specification

• Senior leadership experience in income generation 
• Proven success in securing significant, multi-source funding, including trusts and foundations.

The Head of Governance and Chief Executive’s Office is responsible for effective governance across The Place, compliance with regulatory frameworks and providing effective professional administrative support to the Chief Executive. Specifically, this post holder will:

• Ensure effective governance across The Place and its Board of Governors.

The Place is led by Clare Connor, Chief Executive and Accountable Officer—she has held this role since August 2017. Clare provides visionary leadership across all dimensions of the organisation: academic, artistic, operational, financial and strategic. Under her stewardship, The Place moved through its ambitious 50th-anniversary year and launched a transformative ten-year plan to further “a world with more dance”. During this period, turnover increased by approximately one-third, and London Contemporary Dance School became an independent Higher Education Provider recognised by the Office for Students as a World-leading specialist provider.

The Board of Governors is led by Alan Bishop, who joined as Chair in August 2019. Under Alan’s leadership and guidance, The Place has demonstrated dynamism and growth in dance development through our world-leading status despite an increasingly challenging external context.

Alan has been a passionate advocate for our artistic and educational ambition, championing a culture of thoughtful risk-taking underpinned by strong risk management. He has deeply understood and valued the innovative spirit that has defined The Place since its founding and his leadership has been instrumental in carrying that legacy forward- guiding us from our previous five-year strategic plan to our current vision, with boldness and creativity at its core. The Place expects to welcome a new chair in 2026.

The Governors help us shape our overall strategy and support The Place to fulfil its artistic and educational objectives within a sustainable business model. The Governors work closely with the Chief Executive and senior leadership team, and play a vital role as advocates and ambassadors on behalf of The Place.

As The Place is a company limited by guarantee (company no. 883094) and a registered charity (charity no. 250216), Governors are both charity trustees and company directors.

There are two key departments; Education (comprising Research and London Contemporary Dance School and the Centre for Advanced Training), and Public Programmes (comprising Theatre and Artist Development, Producing and Touring, Creative Learning and Classes and Courses). These departments are supported by Central Services Teams including Communications, Development, Finance and Human Resources.

Key stakeholders and partners include Arts Council England, Office for Students, the Department for Education, Research England alongside the Charity Commission. We also have a partnership with the University of the Arts London (UAL) in support of degree validation and PhD supervision.

SALARY

The salary for this position is £40,000-£45,000 (depending on experience).

Salaries are reviewed in August each year when any cost-of-living increases are made. No salary changes are made until after successful completion of a probationary period.

CONTRACT TERMS

This is an open-ended, permanent contract. This is a full-time position (equivalent to 40 hours per week). These hours are inclusive of a one-hour paid lunch break each day. Your hours of work will be agreed with the line manager. A minimum of 50% of hours must be office-based, with the opportunity for some remote working in agreement with the line manager.

Whilst in the six-month probationary period the notice period will be two weeks. Once this period is successfully completed the post holder will be confirmed in the post and the notice period will be twelve weeks.

We are looking for an Interim Director of Research (Maternity Cover) who will lead a talented research team of staff and associates providing direction and oversight for a diverse, ambitious research portfolio. You will need to have deep roots in qualitative research, as well as the work of charities and funders, with experience of line management, team supervision and leading on new work development.

You will have a proven track record at the senior leadership team level and in line management, experienced at moving between strategic and operational priorities, and be confident to lead a research team in a collaborative and developmental way. 

You will have strong experience of research design, bid writing and generation of new work. You will be skilled in qualitative and action research, including significant experience of facilitating complex processes and discussions.

It is essential that you have experience of the voluntary sector and working with funders.

The Role

The Business Manager is a senior, cross-cutting role, working in close partnership with FILE’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to enable and enhance strategic alignment, organisational effectiveness, and cross-functional collaboration. This role balances strategic insight with operational excellence, ensuring the SLT works as effectively as possible while driving delivery on organisational priorities.

This is a highly facilitative, cross functional role requiring exceptional judgement, communication, and organisational skills. It operates with a birds-eye, systems level view of the organisation, acting as the connective tissue that keeps the SLT aligned. The role balances a forward-looking strategic perspective with hands on operational execution. The postholder will work across teams to identify challenges and opportunities, manage critical projects, facilitate decision-making, and champion a culture of transparency, collaboration, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Partner to Senior Leadership Team: Work with the SLT as a thought partner to drive clarity, alignment, and execution on organisational priorities, including planning cycles, workflow management, and organisational performance reviews.

2. Operational Leadership and Execution (SLT): Lead operational cadences (SLT meetings, offsites, quarterly reviews, and strategic planning sessions) and manage cross-functional initiatives and projects. In 2026 this will include supporting the development of FILE’s 2027-2030 organisational strategy.

3. Confidential & Complex Decision Support: Handle highly confidential issues such as legal, financial, or organisational change initiatives with discretion and maturity. Provide quality recommendations to support complex and confidential decision making.

4. Support Team Leadership & People Management: Manage, empower and develop the Executive Assistant team, ensuring strong support for the SLT and fostering a collaborative, high performing leadership culture.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination and Collaboration: Enable effective communication and coordination across teams, ensuring alignment and follow through on organisational priorities.

Purpose of This Role:

This is a key role within the NASP Operations team, providing exceptional support to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) currently consisting of CEO, Executive Director of Strategy & Partnerships, and Director of Operations; as well as the Board of Trustees. In addition, the role will play a central role in driving best practice and efficiency across the organisation as part of the wider Operations team.

The role will support communication between NASP and our key stakeholders and partners (including government officials, ministerial departments, and international sector leaders), providing detailed administrative support, requiring a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and an ability to work flexibly and proactively. In addition, the role will act as the main point of contact for our relationship with London's Southbank Centre, where the NASP office is based, including managing room bookings and logistics for key meetings.

The role would suit an energetic, proactive, and highly organised individual who is driven by the mission of NASP, and wants to contribute across the organisation to make an impact. Experience & Knowledge:

Executive Assistant:

• Providing wider diary and scheduling support for the organisation where appropriate (e.g. senior management meetings)
