About the role:
This Best Companies Top 100 mid-sized organisation and Top 20 Charity is looking to appoint a Family Support Manager to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our Greater Manchester Care Team.
Reporting to the Family Support Manager of the Manchester Care Team and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness.
Having worked in a stressful and emotional environment you have a genuine interest in building supportive relationships and helping people; and having provided bereavement support to families, you understand processes of grief, loss and change - and how best to help others deal with its impact.

Tabard Court is a mental health supported accommodation for individual with significant offending histories. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team, providing support to customers with a range of mental health needs - emotional, social, physical or domestic -, who have had contact with the Criminal Justice System. You will be skilled in engaging both customers and stakeholders and have a good understanding of the needs and diversity of this client group. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to work in a therapeutic environment that at times can be challenging and provide quality evidenced based care and risk management strategies working closely with clinical colleagues. You will have a thorough understanding of the principles of recovery, be highly motivated and committed, making a significant contribution to the development of the service and building on your previous experience and skills in the fields of mental health and/or criminal justice system.
The post holder will facilitate the liaison between Tabard Court and mental health services in the area and work flexibly to respond to emerging needs and effectively address the needs of the customer case load.
This role will include shift working including: every other weekends, early shifts (8am start) and late shifts (until 10pm).

The main duties of the role

The Down’s Syndrome Association is the only organisation in England, Wales and Northern Ireland focusing solely on all aspects of living successfully with Down’s syndrome. The Down’s Syndrome Association aims to create the conditions that all people with Down’s syndrome need to live full and rewarding lives.
The successful candidate will cover the whole spectrum of duties in relation to media and communication areas and needs to be able to think strategically and work operationally. You will lead the development of our media strategy, build and maintain a strong media contracts database and nurture relations both online and across other offline platforms. Your work will amplify the voices of people who have Down’s syndrome and help shape public understanding through inclusive and impactful storytelling.
We are looking for candidates with at least three years proven experience in either media relations, journalism or communications. An understanding of the key ingredients of success in developing relationships with local and national media engagement, as well as managing performance in line with budgets are also essential.
A valid UK driver’s licence is essential, as well as a willingness to be flexible about hours and location of work as there may be some occasional travel in UK with overnight stays as required. The post-holder will also be DBS checked.

Core Member, Office and Communications
Your working week will encompass a range of core tasks that are often shared amongst community members. Your work, within an overall communications policy agreed with the warden as your line manager, will help us to attract a wider demographic to attend and enjoy what Othona offers.
But just as important, you need the personal qualities to interact sensitively with our visitors and other contacts, to be well organised without being inflexible, to cope calmly in changing circumstances and work cheerfully in a small team. So spiritual and emotional intelligence and an interest in people will need to underpin your technical skills.

The Campaigns and Communications Lead will play a key role in the Campaign for Hope strand of the project, as well as supporting other project strands. You’ll bring experience of creating impactful communication in different formats for different audiences, and of developing campaigns.
You’ll manage staff (from Year 2) and work with them to build campaigning capacity within local community pilots, and across the professional networks, including making sure that learning is gathered, disseminated and activated across the project. You’ll build connections with influencers, including making sure the project engages with evolving policy in Wales, Scotland and England. You’ll also share your experience and expertise to help develop our wider work at Platfform.

The Organisation
The Royal Parks (TRP) is a charity created in March 2017. We manage over 5,000 acres of diverse parkland, rare habitats and historic buildings and monuments in eight Royal Parks across London. These are: Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, The Green Park, St James’s Park, The Regent's Park and Primrose Hill, Greenwich Park, Richmond Park and Bushy Park.

We are currently looking for a Park Support and Cemetery Officer to join us on a full-time, fixed-term basis for 12 months, working 36 hours per week (Monday to Friday), based 3 days a week at Brompton Cemetery and 2 days at Regent’s Park.

The Role
As a Park Support and Cemetery Officer, you will assist the Park Management Teams in the delivery of services by providing on-site business support & administrative functions, as well as assisting Visitor Support teams providing support related to insurance matters and vehicle fleet administration.
Responding to visitor enquiries and carrying out administrative tasks in Brompton Cemetery, you’ll support the delivery of funerary services, events and other operational activities.
Additionally, you’ll deal with park office visitors to Regent’s Park and provide administrative support, including handling internal enquiries regarding insurance, and performing tasks related to a fleet of vehicles.
About You
To be considered as a Park Support and Cemetery Officer, you will need:
- Experience providing a high level of customer service
- Experience working in an office environment
