Herts Young Homeless is an independent charity and has been supporting vulnerable people in Hertfordshire since 1998. We are professional, passionate, collaborative and supportive charity that provides guidance to everyone who is in need of support.
We are looking for two dedicated and passionate Advice and Information Worker to join our team based in Hatfield! You will be the first point of contact for anyone needing to access the ‘hyh hub’ and will ensure that all referrals are triaged to identify the most effective pathway for support. The worker will deliver accurate advice and information to young people, parents and professionals, and work undertaken in a coordinated timely manner. You will carry out appropriate assessments, with other agencies where needed, to assess the needs of the family to prevent family breakdown and homelessness.
Role Responsibilities:
- Manage a varied, short term case load with conflicting deadlines
- To offer realistic advice and options to young people, family members and professionals to prevent family breakdown and homelessness, identifying any other needs within the process.
- To carry out service user assessments under the JHP and liaise with statutory agencies, non-statutory agencies and family members to assist with a planned move on/secure accommodation for
16/17 year olds as required.
- Develop and maintain smooth, accurate pathways on the database for gathering and maintaining all relevant service user and statistical information
- To chair and coordinate family meetings, housing support meetings and liaison meetings with other agencies as required
- To liaise and refer into Crashpad as required and work within the set timescales
- Alongside team members and external partners, co-ordinate and implement focused action plans, working with families for a maximum of 6 weeks
- Working in strengths based way, support 16/17 year olds to advocate for themselves when appropriate and necessary
- Carry out the necessary follow-up work and write ups of service users files
- Encourage and promote a planned approach to solving conflict alongside the ‘hyh hub’ and explore the mediation / family link worker processes to young people and their families, in line with the ‘single pathway’ model.
As a successful candidate you will have...
- A full driving license and use of own car or motorbike for business purposes (Compulsory)
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the problems facing homeless young people
- Ability to engage and motivate young people, strong interpersonal skills including the ability to be appropriately assertive

Job Title: Senior Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker
Location: Based in Catford in a well connected area near Bellingham, Catford, and Catford Bridge stations, with nearby bus stops. Please be kindly aware there is no step free access at this location and some of our other sites.
Salary: £28,000
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday on a rota which includes 3 to 4 night shifts a week between 20:00 - 08:30. There may be some flexibility required around these hours as per service requirements.
About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker to cover the night shift in our service based in Lewisham which offers specialist intensive rehabilitation for people who require more enhanced interventions than that which is offered by commissioned community services. We support residents who live with us for up to nine months and have been discharged from acute wards to avoid admission into inpatient rehabilitation. We support our residents to step down into less supported accommodation to become more independent and integrated into the community.
In this role, you will be the main point of contact during the night shift, leading the team by example and providing specialist support to empower the team and residents to ensure resident safety, wellbeing, and progress towards their recovery goals. You will support in managing and creating an environment everyone feels safe and empowered, and are building relationships with relevant partners and individuals key towards their journey. You will create support plans, plan and hold activities, and further support them to achieve greater independence. you’ll deliver one to one therapeutic support, act as a key worker, and help residents develop the skills and confidence to manage their mental health and wellbeing. You’ll also contribute to support plans, reflective learning, and team development, while maintaining a safe and positive living environment through effective housing management and day to day support. The night shift plays a crucial role in continuing the high quality care provided during the day, ensuring a safe, respectful, and responsive environment for residents. night staff are expected to remain awake, alert, and actively engaged throughout their shift. Sleeping while on duty is strictly prohibited and may lead to disciplinary action, including dismissal for gross misconduct.
Some key responsibilities include:
- Being the lead point of contact for the night shift, supporting the team and residents with specific needs and queries
- Supporting night shifts across two residential properties.
- Providing tailored, person centred support that promotes recovery, rehabilitation and independence.
- Helping residents build skills and confidence to move towards independent or supported living.
- Monitoring residents’ wellbeing, carrying out regular checks, and responding to any incidents or emergencies.
- Fostering a positive, empowering, and recovery focused environment.
- Maintain accurate records and handovers to ensure effective communication between shifts.

About You

You will be able to be proactive and continue supporting our residents even during quieter hours, supporting with ensuring the service runs smoothly and you are actively engaged with the wider team and residents, supporting the team to stay motivated and working together to achieve the service KPI's.

- Previous experience working with people with multiple complex backgrounds/needs, mental health, substance misuse, alcohol, and behaviours

How are staff supported to work remotely?
VoiceAbility has a small number of offices. Employees including Team Leaders are homebased for Administration and meetings will be held online as well as in person in the relevant community.

About the Role

Objectives of the post
To lead and ensure the smooth operational running of ATLEU, with particular focus on finance, people, information technology and governance and compliance.
To manage ATLEU’s team of operations staff including human resources, operations and projects, finance and external bookkeepers.
To work closely with the Chief Executive to develop systems for implementing and monitoring ATLEU’s strategic plan.
Main Responsibilities
1. Leadership and Strategy
- Participate in strategic and business planning processes and play a leading role, working with the CEO and trustees to develop the strategic plan, ensuring all team members understand it and their role in it.
- Serve as a key member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) contributing to the strategic direction and day to day management of the organisation.
- Develop and lead monitoring and evaluation processes for all activities associated with our strategy, including setting and reviewing annual business plan priorities and targets, communicating progress and highlighting potential areas for development and increased focus. Be a champion for embedding learning into the culture of the organisation and collaborate with consultants and staff to ensure there are effective monitoring learning and evaluation frameworks in place across ATLEU’s projects and services.
- Lead and manage ATLEU’s operations staff, including ATLEU’s Operations and Projects Coordinator, People and Inclusion Manager and Billing Coordinator.
- Lead the development and maintenance of organisational policies, procedures, and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- To work closely with the Director of Saltworks to support the operational running of ATLEU’s trading subsidiary Saltworks, through developing the financial and operational infrastructure and management of the organisation.
2. Finance
- Lead ATLEU’s financial planning, management and reporting processes.
- Direct, manage and document ATLEU’s financial policies, systems and controls, ensuring that financial systems are effective and up to date.
- Scrutinise monthly financial data and produce financial reports for the CEO and trustees, including quarterly cashflows
- Prepare ATLEU’s annual operating budgets and financial reports for funders and oversee project budgets.
- Ensure the year-end financial accounts and audit process is completed satisfactorily and delivered on time, ensuring all financial data and other data needed is provided.
- Ensure that accurate records and accounts of monies claimed are held on all cases and liaise with the Head of Legal Practice to ensure compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
- Oversee ATLEU’s bookkeeping and legal aid billing and reporting and ensure all monies, including grant monies and training invoices are claimed and paid promptly.
- Maintain oversight of bookkeepers and auditors, taking responsibility for managing relationships with them
- Manage ATLEU’s banking arrangements, ensuring that they are effective, secure and fit for purpose.
3. Office and Operations
- Work with the Senior Management and Operations teams to ensure that all colleagues have the operational support needed to do their jobs effectively;
- Liaise with building management for both offices, manage any rent negotiations and any future office moves
- Lead on the annual insurance renewal process, provide the required data and lead discussions with brokers to ensure good value for money on all policies;
- Support the Operations and Projects Coordinator to ensure that both ATLEU offices provide a safe and welcoming environment for ATLEU staff, clients and other visitors and that they comply with all appropriate legislation and regulations;
- Work with the Operations & Project Coordinator to maintain the Office Manual and associated policies and ensure that they are up to date and reviewed as appropriate and monitor compliance with those policies.
- Oversee day-to-day operations including premises, equipment, IT systems, ordering supplies, procurement and workflow and archive management and ensure that processes are in place to restore functionality as required.
- To ensure the most effective use of resources and identify areas for cost reduction or cost avoidance along with process and functional improvement, including developing ATLEU’s IT infrastructure to reduce reliance on paper files.
4. Human Resources
- The Head of Operations plays a pivotal role in mentoring and supporting the People and Inclusion Manager across all HR-related matters, including staff wellbeing and EDI activities.
- In the absence of the People & Inclusion Manager or when facing conflicting deadlines, the Head of Operations is expected to actively participate in all HR tasks.
- Support the People & Inclusion Manager with day-to-day HR tasks, processes and systems, responding to queries and problem solving when needed;
- Provide guidance to the Senior Management Team with regular updates on HR related issues as needed;
- Support the People and Inclusion Manager to review, develop and roll out HR policies and provide training to staff where required, ensuring they are legislatively sound, fit with our values and align with our strategic goals.
- Oversee the coordination of the organisation’s volunteer programme, and explore ways to maximise the value both ATLEU and volunteers gain from the programme.
- Model positive, fair and open people leadership and support other managers in their supervisory capacity.
5. Governance and Compliance
- Work with the Chief Executive to continue to strengthen the governance of the charity, ensuring that all aspects of governance adhere to best practices and meet regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that ATLEU complies with the requirements of all relevant regulatory bodies including the Charity Commission and Companies House and ensuring ATLEU is compliant with all compliance relevant to a not for profit legal firm e.g the Legal Aid Agency, Solicitor’s Regulation Authority, Specialist Quality Mark, Immigration Advice Authority and CILEX.
- Manage the Board, AGM and committee meeting calendar, ensuring well-structured agendas and facilitating effective decision-making processes with clear records of these meetings and management of actions arising.
- Develop and implement governance policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements and organisational needs.
- Ensure the SMT, Board and other parts of the governance receives comprehensive, timely, and accurate information to support informed decision-making.
- Stay abreast of relevant legislation and governance best practices, implementing changes as necessary.
- Develop and maintain effective systems and frameworks for compliance, risk management, and operational efficiency.
6. Information Technology / Data Protection and Cyber Security
- Support the Operations and Projects Coordinator in ensuring IT systems function appropriately and securely and new systems are developed to improve efficiencies for caseworkers and for audit and research.
- Work with the Head of Legal Practice and Operations and Projects Coordinator on the continued development of and improvements to our legal aid case management system.
- Ensure ATLEU has robust IT and cyber security policies and procedures in place, and oversee their implementation across the organisation.
- Develop and maintain the organisation’s IT and business continuity plan and update it annually.
- Oversee ATLEU’s day-to-day relationships with external IT support, ensuring IT systems function effectively and providing or facilitating staff support;
- Collaborate with external IT support on projects to enhance and modernise ATLEU’s systems, ensuring they remain up-to-date and secure;
- Take overall responsibility for the data protection obligations of the organisation. Oversee the implementation of up-to-date and compliant data protection policies including data retention and destruction, home and remote working, emails and the internet, and ensure that sensitive and financial information is securely stored and confidentiality and privacy is maintained.
- Keep abreast of changes and updates to Data Protection legislation and ensure that staff receive regular training on Data Protection and Cyber Security.

Women Asylum Seekers Together (WAST) is a grassroots Manchester-based charity led by and for women who are seeking asylum and currently has around 170 members. WAST was founded in 2005 by one of WAST’s current board members, whilst fighting her own anti-deportation campaign, and became a constituted charity in 2014.
We provide a safe, supportive space where women can come together to build community, gain confidence, access peer support, and advocate for their rights. Women are at the sharp end of the ‘hostile environment’ with punitive government immigration policies and practice. WAST enables a process of empowerment through which women gain the confidence and strength to voice their experience and campaign for justice.

Role purpose:

The Community and Events Manager plays a vital role in delivering a dynamic programme of community fundraising campaigns, events, and product innovations that connect people to our mission in meaningful ways.
Community is the team who inspire and support volunteers and fundraisers (the Rotary network, individuals, small businesses and groups) in taking action to help families who have lost everything to disaster. From giving school talks to undertaking 12-hour fitness challenges, selling homemade jam, and camping out in their garden - we believe each and every one of our fundraisers is an inspiration.

By leading on the management, development and evaluation of all aspects of the community fundraising strategy this role will help to grow ShelterBox income and reach across the UK and Ireland.
Who are we looking for?
ShelterBox is seeking a bright, motivated and proactive fundraiser who understands and is passionate about the value that our volunteers and different communities can bring to ShelterBox.
We are looking for someone to lead the Community team, a person who is able to juggle a busy workload with competing deadlines and someone who can be flexible and responsive when a major disaster occurs.
This role is responsible for leading on event and product innovations while supporting the team to develop best in class supporter journeys. We are looking for someone who has a vision for putting data at the heart of all decision making.
The individual should love working with people - be it the wider internal team, volunteers or fundraisers from across the country.
This is a key fundraising role and a great opportunity to inspire and engage with the wonderful supporters who enable ShelterBox to deliver its mission.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Deliver the community fundraising programme and continually monitor results, with particular focus on net income, Rotary engagement, supporter growth and the development of our volunteer network. Adjust and adapt plans accordingly.
- To set income and expenditure budgets for all community and events activity, monitoring industry and supporter trends, progress against budgets and reforecast income and expenditure as required.
- Set measurable KPIs for the Community and Events Team and objectively review the success and achievements against targets. Identify areas of risk and opportunity. Ensure contingencies are in place as appropriate.
- Strategically grow community income by identifying priority audiences and developing products/campaigns/communications to maximise the value of our existing supporters and to reach new ones. Ensure we remain relevant and future focused. To include the optimisation and mainstreaming of digital engagement.
- Continue to develop and test events, with the aim of growing our events portfolio, working closely with the Community Marketing and Events Officer.
- Embed evidence-based decision-making within the team, using insight and data to inform ways of working, and improving our use and adoptions of systems.
- Support team with stewarding high value community stakeholders, including the strategically important relationship with RGBI. Role model and support great relationship fundraising - leading by example to inspire high standards in the team.
- Lead the development of strategic plans to maximise our partnership with RGBI (including income, awareness and networking opportunities). Manage and support the Rotary Marketing and Engagement Officers to drive activity and performance. Work closely with the Rotary Partnership Manager to ensure plans and communications are aligned.
- Support Community Engagement Officer with the development and growth of our community volunteer network.
- Work with the Rotary Marketing Officer and Community Marketing and Events Officer to oversee the development of mass participation campaigns to engage target audiences (warm and cold) and grow income.
- Develop, deliver and evaluate major disaster plans for community audiences.
- Work across the team to review and develop 'donor journeys' in collaboration with the wider fundraising and Supporter Care team, ensuring an excellent supporter experience.
- Create an environment which supports the team to be confident in the contribution and development of new ideas for fundraising, ensuring we adopt a 'test and learn' approach through which people feel safe and supported to innovate.
- Ensure fundraising activity is carried out in accordance with current good practice and within charity law, managing contracts and agreements and providing advice to others.
- Represent the work of ShelterBox at events to members of the public and supporters, where necessary delivering presentations with occasional out of hours work required.
- Continue to develop a high performing team.
- Participate in the day-to-day work of the organisation - such as reporting, attending team meetings as required, and taking a flexible approach.
- Any other duties as may be reasonably required to ensure the smooth running of the Community and Events Team and wider Supporter Engagement Team.

ROLE SUMMARY
This post holder will be a key member of our delivery team working across a portfolio of our inspiring projects and programmes that support young people to develop their skills, empower their potential and influence change.
We are looking for a fun and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication and time management skills, and someone with an understanding of the issues facing young people and how these can be addressed through our programmes.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Delivering engaging sessions, workshops, and events for young people, both in-person and occasionally online.
- Travelling to programme venues across Greater Manchester (reasonable travel expenses reimbursed).
- Supporting young people to develop skills and confidence, and helping them create projects that make a difference in their communities.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with young people, promoting active participation.
- Working with the Youth Leads UK team to plan, prepare, and deliver activities.
- Bringing new ideas to strengthen our programmes and youth engagement work.
- Being part of the team that represents Youth Leads UK at conferences and events, including volunteer and career fairs.
- Keep up to date on new developments and trends within the youth sector
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
- Experience working with young people in group or individual settings — this could include volunteering, mentoring, or supporting peers through school, college, or community projects.
- Strong communication skills (oral, written, and presentational).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent team player who works well collaboratively.
- Understanding of inclusion and the differing needs of young people from a range of backgrounds and experiences.
Desirable Knowledge and skills:
- Confident IT and social media user (e.g. Canva, Zoom, TikTok, Instagram).
- Understanding of community engagement, volunteering, or social action.
- Awareness of safeguarding and child protection (training provided).
- Awareness of issues affecting young people (e.g. education, wellbeing, employment).
