Action Tutoring is a national education charity that offers free maths and English tutoring to pupils facing disadvantage. 

By volunteering as a tutor at a local school or online, you'll be supporting children to build their confidence and help ensure they leave school with the grades needed to build a bright future.

What will I be doing?

• Tutoring 1-3 pupils in Year 5 or 6, or Year 7, 10 or 11.

• Commit to one hour a week, for up to 20 weeks. You choose the day and time to sign up to.

A bit about this role

We need Fundraising Volunteers to help in and around the Tenterden & District area. The postcode areas we are active in are TN23, TN24, TN25, TN26, TN27, TN28, TN29, & TN30.

We are a movement of people championing the welfare of cats. We lead society in a richer understanding of all cats and care for those that need our help. 

Our Volunteer led branches operate within local communities nationwide and rely on funds donated by generous members of the public to continue to help cats and kittens in need of new homes, supporting owners with neutering, managing trap, neuter and return programmes and educating people about cat welfare.

This is a high-impact, strategic volunteer role for someone who wants to leave a lasting legacy. You won't just be managing volunteers; you will be defining the culture, systems, and success model for all of our remote teams across the UK.

We are looking for someone who can step in and immediately begin structuring a world-class remote volunteering programme from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities (What You Will Build & Lead)

1. Programme Strategy & Design:

• System Development: Design and implement all necessary digital systems, databases, and processes for seamless remote volunteer management (e.g., application tracking, hour logging, communication hubs).

• Policy & Procedure: Create a robust suite of volunteer policies, including the Volunteer Handbook, Safeguarding Protocols, Confidentiality Agreements, and Code of Conduct.

• Training Framework: Develop comprehensive role-specific training modules to ensure every volunteer has the skills and knowledge to be successful and feel confident in their role (especially around sensitive topics and signposting).

2. Recruitment & Management:

• Full Cycle Leadership: Lead the entire volunteer lifecycle, from crafting compelling recruitment adverts and screening applications to conducting onboarding sessions and managing off-boarding.

• Motivation & Retention: Develop and implement strategies for continuous volunteer engagement, recognition, and motivation, ensuring high retention rates.

• Performance & Support: Create a supportive framework for check-ins, performance monitoring, and providing necessary support to remote volunteers.

3. Culture & Community:

• Family Culture: Act as the chief advocate for a positive, exciting, and family-like team culture where every remote volunteer feels connected, valued, and non-judgementally supported.

• Communication: Oversee all internal volunteer communications and lead regular virtual team meetings and social events to foster community spirit.

Your Skills & Experience

• Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience (volunteer or professional) in designing, implementing, and managing a successful volunteer programme, HR function, or large remote team.

• Strategic Thinker: Ability to translate the charity’s mission into actionable, scalable, and compliant people processes.

• Policy Acumen: Solid understanding of best practice in compliance, safeguarding, and people management (experience with UK charity regulations is a major plus).

• Tech Savvy: Highly proficient with digital tools essential for remote work (e.g., CRM/databases, Slack/Discord, Google Workspace/Microsoft 365).

• Leadership & Empathy: Exceptional leadership skills with a deep understanding of motivation, emotional intelligence, and non-judgemental communication, aligning with MINDSET's values.

• Time Commitment: Ideally able to commit a set number of hours per week (to be discussed) to drive this programme forward during its critical initial phase.

Single Parents Support and Advice Services is a Charitable Incorporated Company with over 35000 members UK wide. 

Our charity founder and director, Nicola Booth, took the initiative to set up SPSAS in 2012, with the purpose to reduce isolation, loneliness, and to promote equal and fair treatment amongst Single Parents and their Children. We also aim to help, advise and support single / lone parents by giving them access to support and services that they normally would not be able to access for varied reasons. We try to eliminate the stigma attached to being a single parent in society, within all ethnicities across the UK. 

Our charity runs solely on donations and all members of our charity, including the director are currently working on a non-paid voluntary basis. Despite these hurdles, we feel we have made a positive impact with our services. 

We are looking for a solicitor or barrister to occasionally supervise our legal student advisors currentlystudying LPC/BPC. The role is based remotely

Key Responsibilities:

Your duties will include, but are not limited to, will include the supervision of students carrying out legal work, including some legal advice activity, 

Essential

·Be a qualified solicitor/barrister with experience of family law and various other laws;

·Have a valid practice certificate 

·Commitat least 1 day a week for a minimum 3-month period

·Have an enthusiasm for working with students;

·Have proven networking and public speaking skills;

·Be dedicated to providing a stimulating learning environment for students;

·Have a demonstrable commitment to pro bono, ideally through pro bono work or volunteering;

·Have an understanding of and commitment to the roles of both clinics and pro bono in the provision of legal services;

Bright Futures UK is looking for passionate and engaging tutors to provide educational support to primary aged pupils in Maths and English and a fun, safe learning environment for young people living with long-term illnesses.

What will you be doing? 

1. Run tutoring sessions online to support a young person. 

2. Offer subject area knowledge and expertise related to KS1 and KS2 Maths and English. 

3. Help to combat social isolation through fun and engaging tutoring sessions. 

4. Adhere to safeguarding policies and report concerns to the BFUK Team

What are we looking for? 

1. Subject Knowledge: Strong understanding of Primary Maths and English Curriculum. 

2. Teaching Skills: Ability to explain complex ideas in a clear and engaging way.

3. Empathy and Patience: Kind and understanding nature, especially towards those facing health challenges.

4. Reliability: Consistent availability for the agreed-upon time commitment.

5. Adherence to safeguarding policies and report concerns to the BFUK Team

6. You must be a UK resident and be at least 18 years old.
