About the role

This role will support Kinship to operate as an effective charity by ensuring effective day-to-day operations and seamless delivery of the People function at the charity.

You will bring your People leadership experience, attention to detail and excellent communication skills to the role. You will be structured in your approach to ensure that day-to-day issues are handled while also working to improve processes and systems. You will be credible with senior management and able to articulate and balance the trade-offs of a People leadership role.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Work with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and the Executive management team to design, develop and embed a high-quality HR function to support the employee life cycle.

• Responsible for ensuring all policies, procedures, and processes relating to people and culture, work effectively, efficiently and in line with legal requirements.

• Responsible for all People matters, ensuring they are handled fairly and consistently in line with policies and procedures.

• Support and advise line managers on People, EDI and change management activities, including promotions, disciplinary, capability and grievance procedures.

• Organise line manager training to ensure line managers understand their responsibilities and apply policies consistently.

• Responsible for the candidates’ recruitment experience. Ensure candidates receive a consistent and professional recruitment experience.

• Responsible for job descriptions, person specifications, recruitment packs and job adverts.

• Ensure offboarding processes are robust and implemented consistently to safeguard the charity’s assets and to comply with Data Protection rules.

• Lead on the delivery and growth of the ‘Kinship Friendly Employers’ scheme, driving growth in the scheme and the number of bronze, silver and gold partners

• Ensure Kinship role models ‘Kinship Friendly’ employment practices and seek opportunities to share these as examples with other HR professionals.

• Support fundraising efforts with corporate supporters who are ‘Kinship Friendly Employers’

Essential criteria includes:

• HR qualification or significant demonstrable experience.

• Coaching qualification or significant demonstrable experience.

Job Title: Service Manager

Location: Royal Borough Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC)

Salary: £38,700

About the Service Manager Role

Our Adventure Playground Manager plays an integral role within our Children, Young People and Families team, supporting our Head of Service to create inspiring, high quality and child focused youth and play services. As a Youth Development Lead you will;

• Develop and oversee a Youth Advisory Panel to ensure that youth voice is central to the design of our Youth Engagement Programme and the 360 Youth Centre.
• Develop and oversee the Youth Engagement Programme as part of the ‘100 years of Ashburton Park Project’ including a range of activities in and nearby to Ashburton Park, including after school drop-in’s, evening sessions, group work and one-one mentoring.
• Support the development and engagement of young people in a Food Growing Enterprise based at Ashburton Lodge.
• Work closely with Croydon Council and other partners to support young people to engage with a wide range of programmes and activities that are part of the ‘100 years of Ashburton Park Project’.
• Deliver open access sessions, group and one to one interventions with young people including; half term, afterschool, evenings and residentials, using a planned youth work curriculum.
• Line manage youth workers, sessional youth workers and youth volunteers to plan, deliver and evaluate youth work termly.
• Contribute to the development of youth work across the area and lead on specific areas of work on behalf of the team.

Amongst other requirements, the successful post holder must have:

· Relevant experience OR qualification in Youth & Community (JNC), Social Work (QSW) or SEND.

· Proven experience working with young people ‘at risk’.

· Reliability, with a flexible approach to changes and able to work unsociable hours.

· Experience of project and/or people management

We are recruiting a General Advice Officer to support with the delivery of advice and welfare support to vulnerable guests who access the Community Wellbeing Service, a local support hub offering relief from the rising cost of living for local families. The General Advice Officer will support our guests on a range of areas including benefits, immigration, housing, money management and access to training and employment services. The postholder will provide high quality welfare advice and guidance through weekly one-to-one advice sessions, undertake case work, work with partners to facilitate referrals, and provide support to advice volunteers. 

The successful candidate must have at least two years’ experience delivering effective advice or in a similar capacity, demonstrate empathy, an understanding of the issues facing vulnerable people, and have in-depth and up-to-date knowledge of welfare benefits and housing policies/legislations, with a strong focus on achieving tangible outcomes for our guests.

Advice Work

• Carry out assessments to identify urgent needs and appropriate support pathways for members at the Community Wellbeing Service.
• Support outreach or community engagement activities as needed.
• Provide holistic and person-centred advice and casework on the main enquiry areas, particularly welfare benefits, housing, employment, health and wellbeing, immigration and money management.
• Maintain Sufra’s Advice Quality Standards and meeting tangible outcomes.
• Produce detailed case records on our case management system for the purpose of continuity, statistical monitoring and report preparation
• Apply for funds from trusts and foundations to support individuals and families with essential costs such as housing deposits or white-goods and/or cancellation of debts;

• Enable and support guests to act for themselves, wherever appropriate.
• Monitor the progression of all cases to the point of resolution.

Case Management

Your new company My client is a top University that specialises in design and digital media in a buzzy area of London, and they are looking for an interim Library Manager to manage a team of 3 with direct reports for an initial 8-week period.

Your new role

• To manage the services, resources and operations of the Library, ensuring the efficient and professional delivery of innovative and customer-focused library and information services to staff and students.
• Provide day-to-day management and effective leadership of the Library team, undertaking the full range of management responsibilities, ensuring their effective working against institutional priorities. This includes managing performance, conducting annual performance and development reviews, identifying training and development needs, workforce and succession planning, staff recruitment and induction.
• Work with academic staff and students to develop a comprehensive understanding of resource demands and ensure that resources and collections meet the learning and research needs of the institution.
• To work with the Head of Academic Operations in the development of a strategy for the library reflecting the vision of the Institution.
• In collaboration with the Head of Academic Operations set and monitor service standards and foster a professional environment of continual improvement, customer service focus and inclusivity across the team, delivering and embedding change where required.
• Ensure services, resources, policies and procedures are effectively promoted to stakeholders across relevant communication channels. This includes staff and student inductions, workshops and managing the library intranet.
• Manage the physical and digital library spaces, ensuring they provide effective learning environments to support stakeholder needs and to work with the Head of Academic Operations, identifying priorities and costs for the ongoing innovative development of these spaces and resources.
• Manage specialist archives and collections.
• Ensure the library team maintains the spaces consistently to a safe and professional standard.
• Proactively work with key stakeholders internally and externally to ensure effective service delivery.
• Review, revise and implement relevant processes, procedures, policies and supporting documentation, ensuring that they reflect best practice and regulatory changes.
• Effectively manage delegated budgets and resources, including budget forecasting, and ensuring resources are cost-efficient and used effectively to deliver value for money.
  Ensure that new and existing resources are fully utilised to deliver maximum benefits for students, staff and external stakeholders.
• To monitor new and emerging library and information management developments and legislation, identifying their impact and making recommendations to take advantage of them or reduce their risk in the university's activities.
• Represent the institution within appropriate forums such as SCONUL and the M25 Consortium of Academic Libraries.

• Experience of managing library and information services and resources, including catalogues, collections and online resources
• Experience of working in a library setting in higher education
• Proven track record of managing budgets and financial administration
• Demonstrable experience of effectively managing staff and leading teams

As a Senior Nurse you will be a team leader to a small group of nurses and HCAs (Play and Care Workers), taking responsibility for line management. You will lead your team in acting as key workers to a small caseload of service users and act in a link role allocated to the team, for example Infection Control or Clinical Audits. You will be managing shifts, providing leadership to the team to ensure that all care is delivered in accordance with Richard House policies and procedures.

About the role

Working with the Head of Programmes and Services to design and implement CASPA’s service delivery programmes in line with CASPA’s charitable objectives and strategic aims.

A Programme Delivery Manager (PDM) is responsible for managing supervisors, support workers and volunteers. PDMs ensure members’ developmental needs are central to all activity planning and delivery and are responsible for building and managing community partnerships. Key responsibilities include: 

• Designing, planning and implementing programmes in line with our strategic aims.

• Manage and track programme and activity budgets, ensuring value for money and efficient allocation of funds.

• Champion member engagement and work with staff to identify needs in our programme and service portfolio.

• Safeguarding responsibilities including first point of contact as required, managing safeguarding records and provide safeguarding guidance to staff and volunteers.

Are you an experienced Angular developer who would like to join with other Christians in Tearfund's work with local churches around the world tackling poverty?

This role within a team of 13 developers will allow you to use your strong technical experience to serve people living in poverty in more than 50 countries around the world through providing effective applications for  the design, monitoring & evaluation of our front-line projects and for our finance staff. 

This is a key time for the team as we start the migration of our project design, monitoring & evaluation application to Angular. In this post you will work alongside our other Angular developers, sharing their expertise and building an application which will enable our staff and local church partners around the world to demonstrate the amazing impact of our work in the communities we work with.

The team is also crucial to our finance staff, being responsible for the development and support of an Angular application which is critical for finance data entry across the countries we work in. We are keen to leverage AI to increase productivity in this area so experience in working with AI technologies, or an interest in learning, would be an advantage.

Although not essential, experience of Power BI would also be useful as we extend our reporting suite, using our SQL Server data warehouse to demonstrate the impact of our work and provide vital financial information to staff across Tearfund. Thanks to our MS Azure integrations, our data warehouse contains combines data from multiple applications and our developers are key in bringing that data to life in ways that can help users across the organisations make data-led business decisions.

I am working exclusively with a national homeless charity on a permanent People and Operations Manager role, paying £43,000 per annum. The charity’s aim is to end homelessness and ensure everyone has a place to call home. They do this through providing grants to individuals and organisations working with people experiencing homelessness, supporting frontline workers across the UK, and advocating for change.

The organisation is based in Holborn and offers hybrid and flexible working to all staff, going into their central London office 1-2 days per week. The purpose of this People and Operations Manager role, paying £43,000 per annum, is to shape the charity’s internal systems, culture and operations.
