We are recruiting for a qualified Youth Worker to join our Family and Youth Services. You will plan, deliver and evaluate youth club activities for young people and ensure that all safeguarding, regulatory and health & safety requirements are met. Actively engaging with young people in informal learning opportunities that promote their physical, mental, social and emotional development.

This role requires a minimum of 2 years experience of leading youthwork sessions, either centre-based and/or detached. The candidate must have a minimum of a Level 3 Youth Work qualification or equivalent, and must be a driver due to the delivery of detached work on the Y Bus. In addition the role requires evening work during Term Time.

Key responsibilities:

• To actively engage with young people aged 10 to 18 in a wide range of youth work programmes that promote personal and social development
• To plan, deliver and evaluate our YMCA East Surrey Youth Work offering
• Coordinate YMCA’s detached programme – Y Bus and Street Talk including liaising with partner agencies. This includes driving our Y Bus.
• Coordinate YMCA’s holiday programme including applying for funding and delivering residentials.
• To oversee part time staff and volunteers, providing professional support and guidance.
• Delivering information, advice, and guidance to young people referring to specialist agencies where appropriate
• To meet with young people and set an action plan to assist with their social and personal development.
• To record and collect data with various tools and to use this to evaluate the effectiveness of youth work programmes.
• Involve young people in co-production of all the youth work undertaken
• Liaise with local partners and stakeholders in schools, the voluntary and statutory sectors to enhance the coherence, range, reach and quality of services for young people.

You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental health issues. You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will deliver the IPS approach (for which training will be given); providing person centred support and guidance to clients, whilst building positive relationships with local employers to enable clients to move into suitable employment.

You will work as part of a mental health team (NHS Trust) maintaining positive and integrated relationships, fostering a holistic approach to recovery through employment. You will work closely with clinical teams, providing a coordinated approach that always remains client led.  You will also be working to targets whilst maintaining a high-quality service.

Supported Housing Manager

Treasures Foundation offers accommodation and outreach to vulnerable women who have backgrounds of addiction, trauma, mental health and the criminal justice system. We provide housing and support until women can make the transition into their own homes, with some long-arm support extending beyond this period.

The Area Manager will work alongside the COO and CEO to help develop and manage the existing service as well as a new detox provision. Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

This is a key role supporting both our fundraising and communications activities. You will work closely with the Fundraising and Communications Manager to deliver compelling fundraising applications, steward donors, grow our community fundraising, and manage Caxton’s public-facing communications across digital and print. Key Responsibilities

Fundraising

• Research, plan and draft compelling grant and funding applications.
• Maintain and update our CRM system (Beacon), ensuring records are accurate and communications are timely.

The Big Issue is looking to appoint to a critical role supporting our vendors. The Support and Outreach Worker will be a leading role in our belief of “A Hand Up Not a Hand Out”, and has been created to improve our service to vendors, helping them to increase their income through selling our magazine and providing casework support.
 
You will also positively promote The Big Issue in your local area, build partnerships with third-party organisations and identify and promote opportunities all with the aim of moving people out of poverty.
 
To offer our vendors the best possible support you will have experience and knowledge of working with vulnerable adults in a frontline setting, along with the ability to offer effective sales advice and guidance helping them to increase their income through magazine sales.
 
The role requires the willingness to drive a company van throughout the South East region, therefore a full driving license is essential and due to our insurance regulations you must be over the age of 21.

Background:

Longfield Hall Trust (LHT) manages the historic Longfield Hall, offering a range of cultural experiences and classes for all ages. Our new Memory Café project aims to support dementia patients and their carers by providing a welcoming space for social and recreational activities. The Café will offer dementia friendly activities (including karaoke, bingo, arts/crafts and immersive theatre/dance shows) to empower dementia patients to enjoy regular social, cognitive and physical activities.

Alongside supporting patients, the Memory Café will create a highly supportive environment for carers. This will enable carers to take some 'time out' while remaining nearby in a safe space where both carers and patients can socialize more widely. Furthermore, the Café will provide access to information about relevant local services, ensuring comprehensive support for all attendees.

The Memory Café Care Worker will support the Memory Café Manager and enable us to support a broad range of dementia patients and their carers.
