Mentorship Opportunity - Avicenna Foundation 

Location: Remote / Flexible

Commitment: Part-time, voluntary

Duration: 6 months

Start Date: Rolling basis

About the Avicenna Foundation

The Avicenna Foundation supports the personal and professional development of high-potential, socially driven young people, preparing them to become the next generation of changemakers in public life.

Our mentorship programme connects Scholars with professionals across diverse sectors who can share their experience, insights, and practical guidance. Mentors play a crucial role in helping Scholars develop their vision, confidence, and networks as they prepare for impactful careers.

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome mentors from all career stages, from early professionals to seasoned leaders, particularly in fields such as:

  • Politics & Public Service
  • Law
  • Civil Service
  • Consulting
  • International Development

We especially encourage individuals with experience in mission-driven work or a commitment to public good to apply.

Role Responsibilities

As a mentor, you will:

  • Support your mentee in clarifying and pursuing their professional and personal goals
  • Share career insights, experiences, and lessons learned
  • Offer guidance on navigating challenges and opportunities
  • Foster a supportive, constructive mentoring relationship
  • Meet with your mentee approximately once a month (virtually or in person, as convenient)
