We’re looking for an experienced Creative and Content Manager to head up the team that leads on brand, creative and case study storytelling for the charity. This role is essential in ensuring the success of projects from high-profile public campaigns, to targeted health information for patients and healthcare professionals. It sets standards for creative work and plans for content needs including sourcing real-life stories.

You’ll be a creative all-rounder with a passion for high quality creative work, the importance of a strong brand, the need for great content planning and the power of storytelling in developing successful communications. You’ll also sit on the Marketing and Communications Management Team, playing a key role in driving forward the team as a whole, from the personal development of individuals, to leading and shaping major marketing and communications initiatives.

Supporter Acquisition Manager

Q:alliance provides support, information and representation for the LGBTQ+ people who live, work and play in Milton Keynes and Bedford. We have detailed knowledge of the issues and challenges that organisations and individuals face locally. It’s our goal to create more safe spaces and resources to ensure the LGBTQ+ community is well represented and supported.

This exciting new role will help deliver the directives of a history and heritage project funded by the Heritage Lottery. The project will support the erudition of LGBTQ+ heritage in Milton Keynes, advancing local communities’ understanding of Milton Keynes’ LGBTQ+ history and inspiring a commitment to encapsulating, celebrating, and feeling connected through shared heritage. This post will be key to extending our reach into seldom asked communities, as well as securing relationships with founding community members. This role will support our Communications and Engagement Manager to develop safer spaces for LGBTQ+ local communities through collaboration with partner agencies and delivery of LGBTQ+ cultural competency training to a range of stakeholders involved in the wider project.

You will work cross-departmentally and participate in effective monitoring systems to ensure robust reporting.

Main Responsibilities

• Project Development - Develop and implement the directives of the funded project, supporting key partners in their collaboration with Q:alliance. Communicate project aims with communities and stakeholders and establish meaningful engagement in the concept of encapsulating heritage and celebrating differing LGBTQ+ identities in Milton Keynes. Support the gathering of audio histories and the collection and succession of community artefacts through the archive. Evaluate and analyse impact.

• E-book creation – Support the Communications and Engagement Manager on the development of an E-book to capture the outputs of the project, including key heritage findings and personal stories.

• Event coordination – Plan, organise and support the delivery of history clubs in line with the project plan, ensuring accessibility for a wide range of invested community members. Support the curation of associated exhibition events.

• Stakeholder and community engagement – Work with the Communications and Engagement Manager to plan engagement and outreach activities in line with the directives of the funded project. Forge and support enduring relationships with key partners, strengthening our commitment to building an alliance of cross-sector compassionate advocates for the LGBTQ+ community in its diverse forms.

• Training – Support the development and delivery of LGBTQ+ cultural competency training to a range of stakeholders involved in the project.

• Data capture and intelligence - Support Q:alliance’s commitment to sustaining a contemporary data and monitoring mechanism, guaranteeing we can deliver thorough evaluations of our services and competent feedback to our funders and stakeholders on the efficacy of our work.

Since 2013, Arts Emergency has been providing 16-25 year olds in London, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and beyond with a trained mentor working in their field of interest. Mentors help Young Talent set goals, explore their passions and make decisions about higher education, training and careers.  After they complete a year of mentoring, Young Talent can continue to access opportunities, advice, resources and paid work from the Arts Emergency Network until they turn 26. The Cleft Lip and Palate Association (CLAPA) is the national charity for people affected by cleft lip and palate in the United Kingdom.

CLAPA supports people affected by cleft to take control of their journey, connect with others, and use their voices to impact the future of care. Our vision is that no one affected by cleft lip and palate in the United Kingdom will go through their journey alone.

We are seeking a Fundraising Coordinator (Individual Giving) to join our small but dynamic Fundraising team.

The role requires excellent donor care and stewardship skills. All forms of communication will be required including the proactive use of digital channels such as the website and social media platforms.

The Individual Giving Fundraiser will play a vital role in increasing income from our existing supporters. You will support donor acquisition as well as taking the lead on retention of our supporters across multiple channels including cash appeals, regular giving, lottery and in celebration giving. The role will also support the Head of Income in the delivery of a legacy and major donor program.

You will develop and deliver excellent stewardship programmes that drive retention by deepening audience understanding of the challenges that people affected by cleft face and the impact that their donations make. Using data and insight, you’ll deliver compelling campaigns, with people affected by cleft right at the centre. You’ll use creative tools and techniques to demonstrate impact and inspire future action.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide independent advocacy support to parents with LDAD on various issues.
• Help parents understand the child protection process and make informed decisions.
• Advocate for parents' rights, ensuring fair treatment and access to services.

About the Role

This role is an exciting opportunity to work for Mind BLMK as part of the Fundraising & Engagement Team. Acting as the first point of contact for all Fundraising & Comms enquiries and in line with Mind BLMK’s Fundraising and Communications Strategy, this is a busy role and will require excellent stewardship and donor care skills as well as meticulous organisation and innovative thinking. As an Ambassador for Mind BLMK, you will need to have a passion for mental health and an ability to operate at all levels.

The successful applicant will generate income and support all aspects of communication and marketing, to help to maximise local support, raise awareness of our work in the community, and by providing exceptional supporter stewardship, in line with Mind BLMK’s Fundraising and Communication strategy.

Key Duties

• Act as the first point of contact for all fundraising enquiries and provide stewardship and donor care for Mind BLMK’s individual givers, corporates, groups, volunteers and other supporters of the charity, in line with the fundraising strategy.
• Act as first point of contact for all marketing, PR and event enquiries.
• Send donors bespoke information and materials to support their fundraising at Mind BLMK.
• Ensure supporter interaction points (telephone, post, email) adhere to the highest standard.
• Support existing and develop new partnerships with corporates, organisations, and individuals, to support income growth.
• Develop and maintain relationships with philanthropists and encourage legacy giving.
• Help with the co-ordination of fundraising volunteers, as requested or as appropriate.
• Help to identify and develop potential areas of fundraising growth and process improvements, in line with the Fundraising Strategy and supporting net income growth.
• Write and send outgoing thank you letters to all income streams.
• Help maintain an up-to-date and accurate supporter database, finance log and fundraising and communications materials.
• Support the implementation of marketing strategies and targeted campaigns; plan, develop, and ensure the production of multi-media communications, PR, and marketing materials and compelling stories.
• Work closely with external organisations in order to raise awareness of services available locally and increase access to provision for individuals across Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes.
