Fauna & Flora seeks an experienced leader to build and drive our private sector income strategy at one of the most critical moments for nature and people. The Head of Private Sector Development will play a pivotal role in identifying, cultivating, and stewarding transformative private sector funding opportunities across sectors, with a focus on particular sectors with most potential e.g. finance, insurance, FMCG. The Finance & HR Lead
We are looking for a Finance & HR Lead to take charge of the financial health of our charity by administering a high quality and effective financial management service to The OutHouse. The OutHouse is going through a period of change and we need a finance practitioner who is able to support the organisation in its financial management. You will also have oversight of our HR function. This is a busy role within a small team that is looking to make a huge difference within our community. You will work closely with, the CEO, Operations Change Manager, the Team and the Treasurer to ensure that all data are recorded accordingly and in a timely manner.
Key Activities & Responsibilities
As Finance & HR Lead, your key activities and responsibilities will be to:
Finance Responsibilities
- Provide a high quality and effective financial management service to The OutHouse.
- Prepare, develop and analyse finance and accounting information, including income and expenditure processing, ensuring information is timely precise, clear, informative and understood
- Keep good quality accounting records for our charity by preparing annual accounts and maintaining up to date records on our accountancy and book-keeping systems (making any recommendations for improvement as necessary)
- Work with the CEO and Operations Change Manager to ensure efficient financial management and planning systems, ensure financial reports effectively inform business development and fundraising strategies and that the organisation demonstrates value for money across all activities and services
- Prepare information for our Funders on funded projects expenditure and work with the SLT to present this in a meaningful way
- Attend Trustee meetings as required to provide information and analysis ensuring partnership with CEO and board Treasurer to allow for easier financial decisions
- Ensure financial information supplied to management and the board is full and accurate so as to support sound decision making
- Ensure compliance and proactively highlight potential risk with relevant financial statutory and regulatory matters
- Identify and manage risks and contribute to the risk register on financial matters and wider decision making when appropriate
- Keep up to date with financial developments across the sector and changes in requirements for charity reporting and legislation
- Make sure financial reporting complies with relevant legal requirements
- Maintain and monitor internal policy documents and procedures and make recommendations on best practice and good governance
- Liaise with and maintain a good working relationship with our CEO, colleagues and trustees, Treasurer as well as stakeholders and key operational contacts such as bankers, auditors and funders

Main Purpose of the Role:
To be responsible for the implementation and day to day project management of the individual giving programme across both existing and new fundraising products, maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, members, volunteers and internal teams across Mothers’ Union to ensure the success of the appeals. As part of a small team you will be working closely with and under the direction of the Head of Individual Giving.
Key Responsibilities:
- To project manage multiple appeals delivering accurate campaigns on time, on budget to a high standard, meeting agreed targets.
- Analyse and interpret direct marketing campaign results, and produce regular reports, drawing conclusions, completing campaign reviews and making recommendations to improve future activity such as targeting and testing suggestions to improve performance of the programme and feed into longer term strategic plans.
- Ensure all materials produced are accurate and compliant with relevant data protection and gift aid legislation (where applicable). Undertaking all activities in line with best practice standards and processes as set out by the IoF, Fundraising Regulator and any other bodies as prompted by the Head of Individual Giving.
- Write campaign briefs including campaign objectives, creative, digital, print and production briefs, feeding into decisions on creative approaches, copy and all technical aspects of the direct marketing programmes
- Write or amend existing copy and proof-read accurately. Critique, manage and evaluate work by external or internal agencies to a high standard and high level of accuracy
- Lead contact for our face to face fundraising activity, from briefing, monitoring and reconciliation to delivering training and fulfilling requests, including coordination of visits to Mother's Union projects
- Lead on any challenge events or wider individual DIY fundraising or organisational income generating events as assigned, meeting agreed targets set by the Head of Individual Giving.
- Monitoring, managing and reporting of key KPIs including campaign income, spend and other performance metrics on a regular basis. Reporting to the Head of Individual Giving, highlighting variances and updating fundraising team reports making sure information is accurate and reconciled where necessary.
- Designing and delivering targeted training programmes for groups of fundraisers or members on behalf of Mothers’ Union as well as providing effective one-to-one campaign support as required.

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern
This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

For over 20 years, we’ve provided accommodation and specialist support to people who are facing homelessness and destitution because of their insecure or unresolved immigration status. We’re now looking for a strategic, relationship-driven fundraiser to join our senior team and shape a new phase of growth. As our first Head of Fundraising, you’ll play a vital role in transforming strong but reactive income streams into a thriving, sustainable programme that enables us to support more people, more effectively.

The Marketing Manager at CBM UK is a vital role and has responsibility for delivering CBM UKs digital and direct marketing plans to engage and inspire individual supporters and churches to support the work of CBM.
Working closely with the Head of Marketing, as part of the Public Fundraising team, the role holder will be responsible for the management and development of two Marketing Officers. Through digital and direct marketing, the Public Fundraising team are responsible for raising over £3m of unrestricted income from cultivation, acquisition, mid-value donors, regular giving, legacies and churches.
Key responsibilities
Fundraising campaign management (40%)
Manage the effective implementation of the annual public fundraising plan, ensuring that all activity is of a high standard, and delivered on time and to budget:
a. Oversee cultivation fundraising appeals primarily carried out through direct mail and email, leading on the continued development of mass fundraising to engage both existing and potential supporters, including high donors, regular givers and church communities.
b. Manage and develop CBM UKs donor acquisition activity in collaboration with the Marketing Officer (Acquisition), using channels such as social media, magazine inserts, press advertising, email and telephone.
c. Oversee the delivery of CBM UKs legacy and in-memoriam giving plans and campaigns.
d. Identify and consider new income streams and broaden the channels used currently for direct response campaigns to reach an agreed balance of long-term value versus risk.
Digital marketing (40%)
Grow digital engagement and income from new and existing supporters:
a. Lead on Pay Per Click strategy, including agency management and development of internal capabilities.
b. Oversee CBM UK’s paid social media activity.
c. Collaborate with the Communications Team to optimise the performance (traffic and income) of fundraising pages, including appeal and donation pages, churches and community, legacy, and in memoriam giving. Ensuring fundraising pages on the CBM website are engaging to existing and new audiences and where appropriate, utilising Search Engine Optimisation tools where appropriate.
d. Explore and make use of new and existing digital platforms and partners, such as Dataro and SEMrush, while promoting a culture of testing, innovation and learning within the digital space.
Leadership and people management (10%)
a. Support and inspire direct reports in line with CBM UK’s staff management policies and procedures. Ensure team members are appropriately trained, briefed and motivated to achieve their objectives and meet targets and recruit to posts where relevant. Regular 121s and appraisal reviews.
Planning and reporting (10%)
a. Monitor and report on fundraising appeals, identifying opportunities for future testing and optimisation, and contribute to the creation of annual planning, budgeting, and the setting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
b. Work closely with the Data and Insight team to ensure strong joint working on technical solutions related to campaign analysis, tracking and insights across digital systems, such as the website, donation platform and CRM (Salesforce).
c. Plan, deliver and report on campaigns/projects within an agreed budget.
Other
a. Ensure the consistent use of CBMs brand, key messages and style guide across all fundraising activities.
b. Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to direct marketing, including Fundraising Regulator guidance, and Data Protection legal requirements (GDPR and PECR).
c. Collaborate with colleagues across CBM UK and the CBM Global Federation, to support integrated and partnership based working.
d. Help foster a positive and inclusive culture of enthusiasm and success, reflecting the ambitions of CBM, and promoting positive working and innovation.
e. Be willing to work occasionally outside normal office hours and to travel in the UK and internationally if required.
f. Ensuring that the values of CBM UK are understood by external partners and always reflected in communications.
g. Undertake other duties as required by the Head of Marketing and Director of Fundraising, Impact and Communications.

This role saves lives at sea by inspiring and motivating a team of supporter-focused professionals who deliver fantastic experiences and respond to volunteer needs in order to secure the vital income that powers our lifesaving delivery. This will suit someone who has an expanse of fundraising and leadership experience as the job will involve overseeing the community branches, shops, regional partnerships and visits delivery plans for the region as well as matrix oversight of other fundraising functions.
As the Regional Engagement Lead, you will lead engagement activity for the South West region. The South West region covers Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, West Dorset, Wiltshire, Isles of Scilly and the Channel Islands with regular travel to the Regional Base in Saltash (applicants must live within the region).

This pivotal role involves driving earned income, managing financial health, and expanding the reach of their therapeutic arts programs across South Wales and the UK.
The Business Manager will oversee the operational and financial management of the charity, ensuring the organisation is efficient, sustainable, and aligned with its mission.
