About the role
Your key purpose will be to lead the day to day operation of our brand-new Twickenham charity shop, a new and exciting opportunity to shape the success of a shop from the very beginning while making a meaningful difference to the families supported by Shooting Star Children's Hospices.
You will manage Assistant Shop Managers and a team of volunteers to maximise income, deliver exceptional customer service, and maintain high retail standards. You will be responsible for driving sales, managing stock and donations, creating engaging displays, overseeing shop finances, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures. You will also play a key role in promoting Gift Aid, identifying high-value items, supporting charity initiatives, and ensuring the shop remains a welcoming and well-presented environment for customers, volunteers and supporters alike.
About you
This role requires experience of managing a retail environment, including responsibility for sales performance, customer service, cash handling and health and safety compliance. You will have experience leading and motivating staff, with the ability to build strong relationships and create a positive and inclusive team culture. Strong organisational skills, the ability to prioritise competing demands and confidence in making operational decisions are essential. Experience of working with volunteers, charity retail, EPOS reporting and identifying opportunities to maximise income would be advantageous. Now in its 75th anniversary year, World Physiotherapy is seeking an experienced consultant(s) to co-ordinate the development of its Physio 2040 long-term aspirational vision and a five-year strategic plan (2027-32) that operationalises it.

As Community Fundraising Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of our community fundraising programme, driving sustainable income growth and ensuring supporters receive an exceptional experience at every stage of their journey. About the role
You’ll lead and coordinate our local campaigning work across London. Your work will help the charity improve the lives of people in local communities affected by Parkinson’s. You'll listen to the needs of our local communities and work with colleagues in our wider directorate to do focussed political campaigning work and advocacy.
Your work will help raise awareness and increase knowledge about Parkinson’s. Through your campaigns you’ll ensure that the voices of people with Parkinson’s, their families and carers are heard.
What you'll do
Be a first point of contact for supporters and campaigners in the local area,who want to improve services in their local area.
Provide expert advice and support to colleagues and campaigners on how best to challenge and influence decision makers.
Build close working relationships with our field staff and our local networks.
Recruit and manage a sustainable network of local campaign volunteers.
Lead campaigns to ensure everyone with Parkinson’s has access to the multidisciplinary team so they can live well with Parkinson’s.
What you'll bring
Experience of campaigning and an understanding of the basic tools and techniques used in campaigning.
Experience of working with volunteers and services users including how best to support them to achieve their campaigning goals.
Experience in organising events.
Experience of delivering training to volunteers and staff.
Ability to network and build supportive relationships with volunteers, MPs and health bodies.

About the service: Door of Hope, East London
Door of Hope supports women who sell sex in Tower Hamlets through advocacy, information, emotional support and practical help. The service works alongside women at their own pace and is supported by a committed volunteer team delivering street outreach in Tower Hamlets on Thursday mornings and Friday nights.
About the role
Beyond the Streets is a UK charity with over 20 years’ experience partnering with women in the sex industry to support safety from coercion, violence and abuse. We provide trauma-informed, person-centred support, specialist training, and resources shaped by research, lived experience and practitioner insight.
This psychotherapy service was developed because many women supported by Door of Hope need flexible, accessible therapeutic support that mainstream services may not be able to provide. Since its introduction, the service has demonstrated meaningful positive impact, supporting psychological and behavioural change for women experiencing multiple disadvantage.
Based at our offices in Tower Hamlets, you will provide women-centred psychotherapeutic support to women with complex needs through in-person, online, telephone or blended approaches.
At times, you may meet women in local cafés, hostels or other community settings to build relationships, establish trust and offer brief therapeutic interventions.
You will work alongside a small Door of Hope daytime support team and service manager to manage risk, coordinate support, and help women access appropriate services across the borough.

We are seeking a compassionate, non-judgemental practitioner who recognises each woman’s strengths and can work safely within gender-informed, trauma-informed and safeguarding frameworks. You will bring experience of complex trauma, multiple disadvantage and multi-disciplinary risk management, alongside a strong commitment to extending the reach and impact of this work.
