Purpose of the role

Reporting to the Head of Operations and working collaboratively with the Partnerships Project Manager, the Programme Delivery Officer will play a crucial role in the day-to-day programme management of the organisation’s programmes and partnership delivery.

This role will also involve strong elements towards cultivating relationships with key external partners, including businesses, non-profits and other stakeholders, to enhance organisational initiatives, drive growth, and ensure long-term collaboration. Providing rigorous operational support and programme administration as needed.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

· Provide comprehensive support to the Partnerships Project Manager

· Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential new partners to maximise engagement and collaboration.

· Act as a point of contact for partners and project/programme stakeholders.

· Assisting with programme and project initiation, such as design and planning.

· Assisting with programme and project delivery, such as: updating progress, resolving problems, ordering content and collateral, and supporting with other delivery tasks.

About the role

We are delighted to have received three-year funding from the Aviva Foundation to fund this brand-new Grants Officer role based in London.

You’ll be part of our Programmes team supporting kinship carers in London to access grants which will help reduce financial stress. This could be grants to buy things like white goods and uniforms or accessing Buttle grants to support children growing up in kinship care.

As Grants Officer you’ll talk to kinship carers, discuss their needs, their priorities and then write charitable grant applications on their and their family’s behalf. 

You will oversee and deliver the grants process, including co-ordinating the purchase of items (such as children’s clothes, beds or washing machines), collecting receipts for items as required by the funders and liaising with all teams to ensure timely receipt of funds within the charity and to the kinship carers.

Building relationships with funders is core, sharing the impact of the grants and insight about the lives of kinship families in London. You’ll work closely with Programmes, Peer Support, Training and Advice colleagues who work with kinship families in London.

You will also create and run online and face-to-face workshops and clinics, helping kinship carers to understand how to apply for other grants, thereby encouraging resilience and confidence to apply for grants themselves.

You will be a proactive and persuasive relationship builder, able to create partnerships with a range of organisations and peer support groups that support kinship families.

You’ll build trusting and respectful relationships with kinship carers who you will work one-to-one with in community settings. And you’ll build relationships with a range of grant giving organisations across London.

We’re looking for someone who can really deliver impact and demonstrate how embedding this role into the community helps to unlock funding and support for kinship carers at a local level.

The type of person we’re looking for

Kinship carers are at the heart of all we do. This role could be the difference between a kinship carer being able to dress their child for school properly, being able to buy a fridge, take a first holiday to the seaside… or going without.

We are looking for someone who is really organised and who is able to capture and present information clearly in a persuasive grant application. The successful applicant will be compassionate, empathetic, and organised. We are looking for someone who understands the needs of kinship families.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering our new grants service across London.
• Meeting performance targets and KPIs as directed.
• Working with kinship carers and their families across London to gather information to complete and submit grant applications.
• Administering grants we secure for our kinship carers and carry out all the necessary administration related to grants.
• Undertaking research to identify funders and build excellent relationships with local grant making charities in order to increase support for kinship families.
• Delivering grant workshops at peer support groups sharing information about locally available grants and providing advice and support on making a successful application.
• Running face-to-face grant clinics within peer support groups or community venues in London, working directly with kinship carers to write and submit requests for grants.

Essential criteria includes:

• Experience of speaking to vulnerable people on the telephone, face-to-face and online, and gathering information with empathy and understanding.
• Experience of working with socially excluded or marginalised people and their families in face-to-face and community settings.
• Experience of running online and face-to-face workshops. 
• An understanding of budgeting, managing money, income and expenditure.
• Proven understanding of the importance of confidentiality and a non-judgmental approach.
• Evidence of awareness of safeguarding issues and good practice.

Age UK Camden is an independent charity supporting older people throughout the borough of Camden. This role sits within the Fundraising and Marketing Team, responsible for raising the profile of Age UK Camden within the borough and generating income for the organisation.​

The Press and Communications officer will oversee our press and media activity, writing press releases and building strong relationships with local and, where relevant, national media. This is a new role within the communications and engagement team, with responsibility for helping our members to campaign and secure improvements to regional transport accessibility. The role is part of our work to achieve justice in society, where disabled people’s voices are amplified, and our message is heard and acted upon.

You will work across the north of England, mirroring the regions covered by the Sub-national Transport Body ‘Transport for the North’. You must live in this region to apply and undertake this position.

You will collaborate with Transport for All members, disabled people’s organisations, and civil society organisations, bringing disabled people together to share our views on accessible transport and make change. Where campaigning is already taking place, you will work alongside it, offering resources and practical support as desired.

You will need to stay abreast of transport developments in your region, and work closely with other teams to share your insights. This will ensure local disabled people’s experiences guide the national agenda.

Key responsibilities

1. Planning and development (10% of time)

· Plan regular activity across your region, considering staffing, budget, and wider organisational requirements

· Help to develop and deliver Transport for All’s membership offering, community building and local campaign support

· Keep Transport for All’s CRM and records up to date

The Third Age Trust is seeking to appoint a Senior Volunteering Officer who will: 

• have oversight of the support we provide to 400 Trust Volunteers who directly support the work of the Trust;

Who we are:

Citizens Advice North East Lincolnshire (CANEL) was founded in 1939 providing

advice, information, guidance, advocacy and support to anyone who needs it in

North East Lincolnshire, which covers Cleethorpes, Grimsby and Immingham. We are an independent, self-funded charity, affiliated to the National Citizens Advice.

We advise on debt, welfare benefits, consumer, employment, housing/homelessness, immigration, legal issues, relationships and families, and any other issues our clients raise.

Debt and welfare issues account for 60% of the issues people raise.

Our work is local, working proactively and closely with other agencies within the borough, including the local authority, to share intelligence to improve people’s situation and take part in joint initiatives and projects with other local groups.

As part of the wider Citizens Advice Bureau’s national federation, we also share details of

issues affecting our community which are used to influence central government and

national campaigns.

The role:

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Chief Executive to lead the charity through the next exciting chapter by managing the delivery of our Strategic plan.

Grimsby, Cleethorpes and Immingham is a very challenging area, yet is dynamic with a high national profile, You would be expected to play a major significant role within local community groups enhancing the area.

Key Responsibilities:

With the Board of Trustees, review the strategic plan and be accountable for delivering the

strategic plan, financial probity and securing the funds required to deliver the services.

Provide relevant and timely intelligence to the Board to ensure it maintains an overview of the Organisation and can make appropriate strategy, policy, and financial decisions.

Lead the team to ensure the Organisation achieves its objectives and delivers high quality, accessible and fully integrated advice services within the aims and values, mindful always of the specific needs of vulnerable and excluded groups.

Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion in line with our values and ensure our clients' needs are at the heart of all we do.

Represent the charity to our various partners, stakeholders, funders, and the media, developing and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships.

Ensure that the charity fulfils all legal, statutory, regulatory, and quality responsibilities.

Key Experience & Knowledge:

• An understanding of the voluntary and community sector (VCS),

Our day centre service is currently open three days per-week offering respite, food and somewhere safe to be for anyone facing street homelessness. It provides advocacy and casework services to those who are vulnerably housed or homeless, supporting them to address their individual crisis and the underlying causes. We also provide a small year round night shelter provision. 

APAP works in close partnership with a number of key agencies locally including drug and alcohol teams, street outreach services, local authority housing teams and the wider VCS. We are a gateway service in the community through which our clients can access a range of support. 

The Community Fundraising and Partnerships Coordinator will be responsible for developing and nurturing relationships within the local community to support APAP’s fundraising efforts, including schools, local businesses, faith and community groups. A key feature of this role will be developing increased year-round community engagement and fundraising, leading into the planning and delivery of at least one annual fundraising campaign. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage directly with stakeholders to build strong partnerships, whilst contributing strategically to the growth of the charity's fundraising efforts. 

We're looking for a talented and versatile communications officer to help grow our communications and supporter base and increase our impact for the children with complex disabilities and their families who we support.

This is an exciting time for our charity as we are developing ambitious growth plans and we want to increase our social media and digital presence to engage with a wider audience.

You will be expected to lead on our social media strategy, planning, producing and delivering content for all our audiences, and engaging with social media connections to grow our community. You will also be responsible for increasing engagement via our website, e-news and direct digital and offline communications. 

We're looking for a natural storyteller with attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to turn their hand to a wide range of tasks, striving for excellence while building relationships and working collaboratively with staff from across our small charity.

• Create a social media strategy that builds our community and engagement across our current active platforms of Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, and considers the use of other platforms
• Develop and maintain our website to provide and easy and rewarding experience that seamlessly transitions users to the next stage of their journey
• Develop and manage our communications calendar to ensure coordinated planning and communications activity
• Build and manage our range of audience groups, including monthly e-news, email marketing, hardcopy reports and newsletters, and assist with donor stewardship communication
• Support our engagement with external media organisations, using all opportunities to gain positive media coverage
• Support the development of data and reporting processes to help build an insight-led understanding of our audience groups and to inform our marketing and engagement plans

The Individual Giving team is responsible for income generation from individual supporters and members, using a range of direct marketing techniques via both online and offline channels. Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern

This role will be based at our Head Office in central London. Mothers’ Union operates a hybrid working model. Staff are required to work an aggregate minimum of 90 days per calendar year (pro rata for part timers) at our Head Office, Mary Sumner House in central London. Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.
