Overall Purpose of the Corporate Partnernersips and Philanthropy Manager
The Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager is an exciting new role, joining our small and expanding fundraising team.
This new role supports the delivery of our ambitious plans to develop and grow income from corporate partners including pharmaceuticals and major donors. You will proactively lead on identifying, developing and delivering high and mid value partnerships. Utilising your excellent relationship management, you will think creatively and strategically to develop compelling proposals.
The role holder will work closely with the Senior Fundraising Manager and Chief Executive as we establish, develop, and retain these valued relationships.
Who we’re looking for?
Guts UK is looking for a dynamic and strategic Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager with a proven track record of securing high-value support from corporate partners and major donors.
You will be a highly experienced, corporate and/or philanthropy manager with well-developed relationship management skills, excited by the opportunity of shaping, developing and elevating these important supporters for the charity.
A committed and inspiring ambassador for Guts UK, you will also be a great team player who enjoys collaborating with colleagues to deliver a dynamic and innovative programme of donor cultivation and stewardship.
Location
We have offices on London and Huddersfield, both of which are easily accessible by public transport or road. We support hybrid working but attendance in the chosen office is required for a minimum of 1 day per week.

Your Role
As Head of Strategic Partnerships, you will play a pivotal role in driving income growth and building long-term relationships with corporates, major donors, trusts, and foundations. Your Responsibilities
Lead and Inspire
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a strategy to grow income from corporates, trusts, foundations, statutory bodies, and major donors.
- Corporate Partnerships: Focus on acquiring new corporate partners to build a strong pipeline and increase income.
- Support Other Fundraising Leads: Assist Trusts and Philanthropy leads in building relationships with funders using research and insight.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and steward partnerships to exceed expectations.
- Collaboration: Work with senior leaders, trustees, and stakeholders to identify and develop strategic fundraising opportunities.
- Networking: Engage with the CEO and trustees to leverage their networks for partnership growth.
- Team Contribution: Actively participate in leadership and departmental management to support the overall fundraising strategy.
- Event Support: Help plan and deliver impactful stewardship and special events.
Manage and Nurture
- Team Management: Line manage key fundraising staff, ensuring they have the support and resources needed.
- Performance Tools: Develop KPIs and pipeline tools for effective budgeting and forecasting.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Track performance indicators, identify risks, and ensure timely corrective actions.
- Culture Building: Promote creativity, innovation, and high performance within the fundraising team.
- Cross-Team Support: Contribute to broader fundraising and marketing activities as needed.
Other Responsibilities
- Database Management: Ensure all fundraising communications and actions are properly recorded.
- Governance & Compliance: Maintain strong governance and adhere to fundraising regulations and policies.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay informed on fundraising trends and opportunities.
- Deputising: Step in for the Director of Development when required.

Centrepoint, the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity, is looking for an Interim Supporter Care Manager to join our Fundraising Strategy & Operations Team based in London.
About us
We help vulnerable young people by giving them the practical and emotional support they need to find a job and live independently. Centrepoint provides homeless young people with accommodation, health support and life skills in order to get them back into education, training and employment. We want to end youth homelessness by 2037.
Together with our partners, we support over 16,000 young people each year.
The Fundraising Strategy & Operations Team deliver the Fundraising strategy and provide high quality operations to support the Fundraising Directorate. The team has a variety of different functions including Supporter Care, Strategic Liaison with Service teams, Compliance, Supporter Journeys and Communications as well as general administration. This role will be managing the Supporter Care team of three people.
About you
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in a busy supporter care environment, working to tight deadlines
- Experience of writing donor correspondence and creating data capture guidance
- Proven experience of supporter care campaign management including creating clear processes and flow charts and managing, negotiating and liaising with suppliers.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and manage a variety of projects and activities to tight deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills, along with the ability to develop strong working relationships with external suppliers and internal departments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver presentations and produce written documents to a high standard
What you’ll be doing

- Significant fundraising management experience in Asia with demonstrable experience of securing five and six figure, and multi year gifts

- Experience of working in a global team, working across multiple time zones and understanding / experience of working in a matrix style

The Associate Director of Philanthropy (Major Gifts) will take a pivotal role in leading major gift fundraising activities, helping to deliver transformational impact for young people across the UK. Working closely with the Director of Philanthropy & Partnerships, senior leadership, and trustees, they will identify and engage networks, opportunity, and influence to secure high-value support for the charity's mission. With the team, this role will develop the foundations of a best-in-class philanthropy programme, building the products, processes, systems, and culture that will sustain long-term success.
The successful candidate will bring a substantial track record of personally securing significant (six-figure) gifts and experience in building major gift fundraising programmes. They will be adept at establishing effective processes and methodologies to support high-performance philanthropy, managing high-value donor portfolios, and delivering exceptional cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship. They will have proven experience as a senior manager, leading high-performing teams, and overseeing special philanthropy events as part of wider major giving strategies. Reporting to the Head of Personal Giving, the Philanthropy Manager will lead Keech’s major gifts strategy, developing and delivering innovative plans to acquire, engage, and retain high-net-worth donors. The Development Manager will play a critical role in developing and managing individual fundraising for the Cathedral with a particular focus on engaging and inspiring the Cathedral’s individual supporters, Major Donors and prospects with the work of the Cathedral, developing and implementing robust stewardship activity and undertaking and developing vital prospecting processes to support both priority projects and year round fundraising.
This role will line manage the Development Assistant.
As Development Manager you will:
· Lead on creating and developing the Individual Giving strategy for the Cathedral, in consultation with the Director of Development.
· Deepen relationships with existing supporters by developing and delivering an impactful stewardship framework for individual donors.
· Work in consultation with the marketing team to create inspiring and relevant communication strategy for individual supporters with a focus on impact, to include regular feedback mechanisms to improve stewardship plans and engagement.
· Build the financial resilience of the Cathedral through developing individual prospecting processes, prospect research, and developing qualified prospect pipelines to secure income from individual supporters and major donors. With an initial focus on the Vicars’ Close project and developing in line with future priorities.
· Work with the Director of Development to develop an inspiring range of bespoke cultivation plans for Major Donors.
· Design, deliver and support a range of unique events to inspire supporters and cultivate new relationships, bringing to life the extraordinary work of the Cathedral. Work across the cathedral to integrate fundraising into existing events and programmes.
· Achieve results through persuasive and compelling proposals for Major Donors and creation of robust budgets. Amplify project impact through inspiring reports and personalised engagement opportunities.
· Develop, manage and deliver Wells Cathedral’s individual giving programmes, including Planned Giving, regular inspiring appeals and individual giving opportunities as part of priority projects.
· Strengthen supporter relationships across the organisation, working with the Cathedral leadership team, Chapter and project leads to support engagement with individual donors and Major Donors.
· Develop and implement plans to keep existing donors engaged, with opportunities to increase their level of giving over time and in line with projects and targeted appeals.
· Regularly report progress to the Development Director and Cathedral Chapter on the individual giving income pipeline, supporter engagement, upcoming opportunities, and challenges.
· Keep up to date with trends and good practice and identify opportunities to improve and develop Wells Cathedral’s individual giving.
· Utilise CRM as an effective Relationship Management tool and develop robust prospecting processes.
· As the Cathedral’s Gift in Wills strategy develops, support engagement opportunities for individual supporters and develop appropriate processes to support this area.
· Network and keep abreast of the wider funding landscape and giving trends to inform the strategy.
· Support the team through additional duties as reasonably required to assist the smooth and efficient running of the Development Team and maximise the impact of the fundraising function. Some weekend and out of hours working may be required.

The successful applicant will also be expected to share in Wells Cathedral’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
We welcome applications from those with existing fundraising experience and looking to further their experience in a manager role, with line management responsibilities. We currently operate a hybrid model of working and are open to discussing flexible ways of working, including full and part time and some remote working. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full time or need more flexible working patterns.

· Parking spaces are available in the Cathedral car park. Cars are parked at the risk of the owner.
· All reasonable working expenses will be met in line with Cathedral policy.
The appointment will be conditional on the satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks, including a basic DBS check. A probationary period of 6 months will apply to this post.
