Action Village India (AVI) is a small UK based organisation that since 1989, has been supporting Indian partner organisations who work alongside villagers in some of the most remote parts of rural India so they can improve their lives, livelihoods and resilience. We are not governed by donor funding cycles and agendas but are led by our partners and the needs they identify and are committed to shared learning and collaboration. We keep our UK costs to a minimum with core staff and rely on an active and engaged set of Trustees, volunteers and supporters. Both staff and Trustees of Action Village India have relationships with staff from our partner organisations, created through ongoing dialogue, partner and community visits and participation in learning forums.

- Salary: £30,000 pro rata
- Hours: 14 hours per week (2 days), ideally Wednesday and Thursday

Key responsibilities
Fundraising and donor management
- Research, develop and submit fundraising proposals to trusts, foundations and major donors

The role
This maternity cover role offers a meaningful opportunity to help secure the funding that makes our work possible at a pivotal point in Hatch’s journey.
Reporting to the Director of Fundraising & Engagement, you will lead the delivery of Trusts & Foundations, Statutory and Major Donor fundraising, while managing our inspiring partners, you will build new income pipelines aligned to Hatch’s pioneering programmes. You will also support the launch and early delivery of our three-year fundraising campaign.
Alongside hands-on fundraising, you will line manage, mentor and develop the Fundraising Manager, helping to build confidence, capability and strong, future-focused fundraising practice.

About you

Job purpose:
This is a creative opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference with one of the country’s leading Lived Experience Recovery Organisations for individuals who have or have had a substance use disorder.
The Innovation, Development Fundraising Manager is a new role within the charity. The purpose of this position is to work with the Senior Leadership Team and other staff members to:
· Help develop and fund new activities in our existing services.
· Through the development and modelling of pilot projects, help the SLT with the implementation of our three-year strategy and seek funding through trust and grant foundations for the delivery of the above.
· Collaborate with the Chief Executive to identify and apply for new funding streams that support the work and growth of the charity and build on our current service delivery.
You will seek to develop and diversify the base of supporters and to achieve fundraising targets working with the CEO and SLT, supported by the board of trustees. We want to continue with our local services contracted income but also to develop other income streams, expand our supporter networks and build our sustainability for the future.
The successful candidate will also develop and maintain appropriate relationships with trusts, foundations and their representatives, ensuring the highest quality of stewardship and cultivation of a proactive relationship-based approach to seeking new funding opportunities.
Working as part of a small leadership team and, reporting to the Chief Executive, you’ll capitalise on our success in partnering with some large addiction treatment providers. These have delivered innovative approaches to recovery across London.
With this backdrop, we will look to you to develop and deliver successful plans to diversify and optimise our income as well as developing the tools, processes and internal expertise to ensure sustainability.
The post holder would have the opportunity of working with a passionate, dedicated small central team, with a positive team spirit. There is a high level of commitment to developing this new area of income generation from management and trustees providing the post holder with the opportunity to excel and meet strategic targets.
Responsibilities and main duties:
o Work closely with the CEO, Board of Trustees, and others in the leadership team to develop and spearhead delivery of a funding and financial plan that will enable delivery of our mission, strategy 2026-29 and delivering our financial strategic objectives.
o Proactively research and develop opportunities from trusts and foundations, developing a funding database and pipeline.
o Working with the CEO and service managers, initializing, and developing projects, producing compelling funding proposals and grant applications, initiating prospect meetings, and confidently pitching new funders to successfully convert prospects to funders or donors.
o Work with the leadership team and local service managers, and volunteers to fundraise local community support activity in the areas we operate in.
o Explore and test new fundraising approaches (such as events and corporate) to further grow and diversify income,
o Research and implement the introduction of a suitable CRM system to maintain accurate records of all fundraising activity (including contracted income), providing high quality reports to the leadership team, CEO and trustees, and to develop a data led approach to future fundraising.
o Manage and monitor ongoing funder reporting, ensuring that effective records of grant/funding bids and their conditions are kept and strictly adhered to by project leads, and that interim and end of project reporting is completed to a high standard, consulting with project leads where appropriate.
o Build and sustain strong relationships with a broad range of funding individuals and organizations, using a wide range of appropriate stewardship approaches to develop and retain their support for Build on Belief.
o Stay informed of existing and new fundraising legislation and ensure all fundraising activities are compliant with the Code of Fundraising Practice and all other statutory obligations, maintaining and communicating internal policies as appropriate.
o Actively instill an organizational culture of fundraising, ensuring that everyone in the organization, including our trustees, understands and contributes to our fundraising strategy.
o Develop a good working knowledge of the charity’s activities, our approaches to addiction and recovery and some of the wider evidence base to tackle addiction and dependency to represent BoB authoritatively to supporters and external audiences.
Experience
o Experience and proven record of soliciting, managing, and securing income from trusts and foundations, corporates, and/or major donors.
o Experience of developing successful grant applications and proposals for support to trusts and foundations.
o Digital fundraising fluency including experience of using and/or developing a CRM system to support fundraising activities and understanding of digital fundraising approaches.

The role
The volunteer officer will report to the volunteer manager.
The purpose of this role is to deliver the coordination of the operations of the charity’s volunteers ensuring that they have the best experience possible.
The objectives of the post are:

Caxton Youth Organisation:
Caxton Youth Organisation is the only specialist youth club of its kind for learning disabled and autistic young people in Westminster aged 11 to 25. There is nowhere quite like Caxton Youth Club; that’s what the young people we work with and their families tell us, and we passionately believe it too.
Caxton has been around for 77 years, quite something for a small but mighty charity, and our longevity says so much about the importance of the services we provide to ensure young people with disabilities in Westminster are able to advance in their personal development, develop a sense of belonging in our community, and lead independent and fulfilling lives.
The majority of our work is delivered at our dedicated youth club in South Westminster. Our youth work team focus on young people’s social and emotional wellbeing, independence, employability, creating community and opportunities, social action and health & getting active. All these topics are explored during weekly youth club sessions which take place in the evenings, and young people are supported to attend thanks to our very own Caxton minibus which collects and drops participants home across the borough. During school holidays we run trips, including residential trips, giving our members the opportunity to experience life outside London, and parents and caregivers some much needed respite.

Our fundraising
The Bureau is almost entirely funded through grants and donations – without our supporters, we couldn’t do what we do. Over recent years, we’ve grown to a team of 35 people with an annual income of £2.8m, backed by a committed network of trusts, foundations, and individuals.

Responsibilities

About the role:
The Supporter Acquisition Manager leads the strategy and delivery of our acquisition programme, with a focus on digital and face-to-face recruitment. Our office is a short walk from King’s Cross station in London. For this role, our expectation is that you will come to London approximately 2 days each month for team, project or stakeholder meetings. You may also find it useful to visit member hospices. You can work remotely for the rest of the time. Equally, you may prefer to work from the office full-time. We encourage all colleagues to visit member hospices to help inform our work and you may be able to work from there
Contractually this role is London-based.
Contract: Permanent. Full time role - 35 hours per week.

As Hospice UK’s IT Infrastructure Manager, you’ll shape a modern, secure and stable environment that enables colleagues to collaborate brilliantly and work effectively to make a real difference to hospice care in the UK.
You’ll be our leading infrastructure specialist, with a broad range of skills and knowledge across Microsoft 365 and Azure, networking and security, and you’ll thrive on working with others to turn business needs into robust, user‑friendly solutions. We’re fully in the cloud, having transformed our IT capability in recent years, and you’ll help deliver the next phase of our evolution. You’ll lead improvements in security, maintaining our Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation, improve knowledge management through our use of Microsoft Teams and other tools, and champion automation and AI to streamline how we work.
You’ll oversee our managed service provider while remaining close enough to the tech to be hands-on when needed. This is a role where delivery and continuous improvement go hand in hand. You’ll report to the Director of Transformation, partner with ICT and Data teammates and collaborate with engaged and supportive colleagues across the charity.
