UWC International is seeking a Senior Philanthropy Lead (USA) to advance major gifts fundraising and strategic philanthropic engagement across the United States.  This is a newly created role, reflecting our ambition to significantly grow our fundraising capability and expand our reach. Reporting to the Director of Development and partnering closely with the UK-based Executive Director, you will lead the cultivation of a high-value donor portfolio, secure transformational gifts, and build long-term, trust-based relationships with individuals, foundations, and partners who share our vision.

This is a pivotal senior role with the opportunity to elevate UWC International’s presence in the U.S. while developing your own expertise within a globally connected organisation. You will work alongside experienced international fundraisers, including senior leadership and board members, offering a unique platform to learn, grow, and influence strategy at the highest level. Bringing strategic insight and creativity, you will help grow income, strengthen donor engagement, and advance key priorities, including the UWC Global Endowment and ambitions set out in our  2030 Strategy. Collaboration will be central—working closely with schools, particularly UWC-USA in Montezuma, New Mexico, as well as national committees and dedicated supporters to unlock new opportunities for impact.

The role is UK-based with regular travel to the United States, though we are open to exploring a U.S. base for the right candidate. We are looking for a relationship-driven leader who combines sharp strategic thinking with a strong track record in major gifts fundraising. Experience or strong knowledge of the U.S. fundraising, advancement, or development landscape would be a distinct advantage. You will be confident in identifying and engaging new prospects, stewarding high-level donors, and translating ambition into measurable results, ultimately strengthening UWC’s visibility and influence in the U.S. and contributing to a global movement that transforms lives through education.

Senior Philanthropy Manager

Permanent, full time (40 hours per week)

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced high-value fundraiser to play a key role in driving philanthropic income, building meaningful donor relationships, and helping deliver ambitious impact.

As Senior Philanthropy Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of major donors and prospects, creating tailored cultivation and stewardship plans, and securing significant gifts (particularly at c.£10,000 / mid-value level) to support The Felix Project's work. You'll work closely with colleagues across the organisation including the Prospect Research Manager and other fundraising colleagues, to identify opportunities, shape compelling proposals and new products, and deliver an excellent donor experience from first engagement through to long-term relationships.

We are looking for someone with a strong track record in relationship-led fundraising, including experience of securing major gifts and developing donor pipelines. You'll be a confident communicator with excellent written skills, able to build trust with a wide range of stakeholders and create new products to engage donors giving at mid-value level. You'll be organised, proactive, and comfortable balancing strategy with hands-on delivery.

A new role, the Finance Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of this small charity's day-to-day finances, contracts, risk management plus managing the financial aspects of a £6.7m capital project.

The postholder will ensure that the charity’s budget and out turn are closely monitored and that established financial controls, spanning the procurement to payments cycle, are firmly adhered to. They will lead budget setting, forecasting, and financial reporting (including management of the external audit and production of the annual report and accounts) and will support wider work programme-planning for the charity, setting the foundations for financial success and sustainability.

They will lead the preparation for, and presentations at the charity’s Board and related finance committees.

In addition, the postholder will act as the central finance liaison with the Inns of Court of Inner and Middle Temple – TCT’s principal funders – as well as with other stakeholders, donors and cross-departmentally.

CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified accountant

Experience in a senior/ management financial position in a charity/ not for profit

Experience of managing cash and investments.

About the role

​As Trust and Grants Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing and delivering our Trust Fundraising Strategy, ensuring strong performance, excellent funder stewardship and long‑term growth. You’ll manage high‑value relationships, lead strategy and planning, and provide inspiring line management to Trust fundraising colleagues.

Working closely with colleagues across Income Generation, Business Development and operational teams, you’ll ensure Samaritans’ work is communicated compellingly to Trust and Statutory funders, grounded in evidence, insight and lived experience.​

We need our Fundraising Manager to:

Working collaboratively, we serve our supporters by providing authentic and engaging communications inspiring active social witness, engagement and giving to charity.

Cluster Purpose:

The Fundraising & Communications cluster strengthens Embrace’s communication, education, and fundraising efforts to drive growth, so that more people engage with our content; more donors are attracted to support; and the UK church is more deeply engaged with the cause - enabling us to fund more work in the region and generate a deeper understanding of Christian service in the Middle East.

Role Purpose:

As Retention & Development Manager, you’ll grow sustainable income by keeping individual supporters inspired, informed and engaged - so they give again, stay longer, and deepen their support. You will deliver excellent supporter journey experience, project managing engaging and compelling direct, and digital individual giving activity (including – but not limited to – appeals, regular giving conversion & upgrade, lapsed reactivation) and incorporating legacies marketing, raising more than £1m voluntary income each year.

What success looks like:

• Higher Life-Time Value (LTV): more second gifts, upgrades and cross channel giving; stronger legacy pipeline.
• Lower churn: reduced lapse rates for cash and regular givers.
• Better donor experience: faster thank yous, clearer impact reporting, higher satisfaction with fewer complaints/optouts.
• Sustainable mix: growth in regular giving and mid-value segments; predictable, repeatable income.

Key Responsibilities

Supporter Experience & Journeys:

• Map and continually improve journeys: welcome → second gift; regular giving nurture/upgrade; mid-value; legacy prospecting; lapsed reactivation; complaint recovery.
• Set cadence and channel mix (email, mail, phone, SMS, social, events, digital) for consistent, donor‑first communications in appropriate channels and accessible formats.
• Donor-first approach: clear, inclusive language; accessible formats; low‑friction giving/retention flows and personalisation e.g. name, last gift, interests, location, project etc.
• Collaborate with Content & Communications colleague to deliver content that shares the impact of support i.e. what donors make possible and Embrace’s brand story.

Segmentation, Testing & Insight:

• Track Regular Giving – net growth; diagnose attrition drivers and fix root causes; maintain acceptable Return on Investment (ROIs).
• Lead supporter segmentation (by behaviour & interest) and A/B testing (offer, timing, upgrade prompts).
• Adopt an evidence-based, test and learn approach; analyse appeals, campaign performance and share insights to drive decisions.
• Work with colleagues to build insight dashboard (e.g. churn, LTV, second gift rate, tenure, contactability) and understanding of retention.

Mid‑Value & Legacy Development:

• Steward mid‑value donors with tailored journeys; warm handovers to and from Major Giving Manager.
• Develop and test legacy propositions and routes to market to grow enquiries and pledges.

Acquisition & Cross‑Sell:

• Project manage individual giving product development and testing; identify new audiences and routes to market.
• Collaborate with Webshop team and the Digital Marketing Campaigns Manager to optimise Alternative Gifts and cross-sell opportunities focusing on a digital first approach.

Cross-Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with the Supporter Experience Team to ensure that supporter journeys are being optimised and feedback from supporters is being captured and acted upon.
• Commission and work with the CRM and Systems Manager to develop clear and understandable dashboards, ensuring that the insights are used to develop plans and measure performance.
• Closely liaise with the Legacy administration team, working with them to ensure the packs and information are up to date and legacy marketing information complies with the latest Institue of Legacy Management standards.
• Develop an understanding of the Partner projects and Advocacy agenda, ensure all supporter briefings are aligned to agreed messaging.

Person specification

Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge:

• Educated to degree standard or equivalent (E.g. practical experience within fundraising).
• Member of Chartered Institute of Fundraising.
• Proven individual giving or CRM led retention experience in a charity, membership or subscription context.
• Hands‑on journey design and automation.
• Strong data literacy: segmentation, dashboards (CRM/Excel), test and learn.

We are seeking a Director of UK Fundraising to lead this next stage – shaping strategy, strengthening delivery and building a more balanced, sustainable income portfolio over time.

Reporting to the Chief Development Officer in New York, you will lead the UK fundraising programme and team of six, sitting at the heart of a global organisation. You will combine strategic leadership with hands-on delivery, setting direction while personally driving key relationships and opportunities at the highest level.

With a strong foundation in place and growing investment in the UK, this is a significant opportunity to build high-value fundraising from a relatively early stage, while contributing to a global fundraising strategy and organisation with exceptional scale and impact.

As Director of UK Fundraising, you will:

• Lead and deliver the UK fundraising strategy, aligned to global priorities
• Drive income growth across all streams, with a particular focus on high-value fundraising
• Develop a more structured, relationship-led approach to major donors, mid-value giving and trusts & foundations
• Personally manage and grow a portfolio of high-value donors and prospects
• Lead, develop and bring clarity to a UK team of six staff
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting and performance management
• Work closely with global colleagues to translate strategy into effective UK delivery
• Act as a senior ambassador for Smile Train in the UK

Essential skills and experience:

• A strong track record of developing and delivering successful fundraising strategies, including high-value income streams
• Proven success in securing major gifts and building long-term donor relationships
• Experience leading and developing high-performing teams
• Strong financial and analytical skills, including forecasting and performance management
• Experience working with senior stakeholders, including trustees or boards
• The ability to operate both strategically and operationally in a senior leadership role
• Excellent relationship-building, influencing and communication skills

Desirable:

• Experience working within a global or matrix organisation
• Exposure to mass fundraising or individual giving programmes
• Experience contributing to organisational or multi-market strategy development

Experience working in an international or globally distributed organisation is strongly preferred. This will include experience of effective collaboration in a global organisation ensuring strategic alignment with headquarters and across global teams.

The high value and campaign department at Breast Cancer Now are an ambitious team of relationship fundraisers that are committed to delivering significant growth over the next five years. Charitable trust grant-funding has a key role to play in this, with our particular focus on securing long-term committed funding for the organisation.

Our existing portfolio of charitable trust and foundation supporters includes a number of high-profile and high-value partnerships, in some cases held over decades.

The trusts and statutory manager role will achieve this by growing our small to mid-value portfolios – significantly uplifting our conversion of supporters up to the five-figure level. You’ll be responsible for our small to mid-value portfolios and for growing the cumulative value of these. You’ll build a wide knowledge base and strong understanding of our important work to effectively engage with new, potential and existing supporters. With experience in taking a proactive approach, you’ll be equipped to regularly manage multiple tasks including new supporter approaches; thanking and stewardship journeys; and gift administration tasks.

You’ll be motivated to play a supportive role in our wider department fundraising goals while thriving in a team setting.

About the Role

As Individual Giving Manager, you will be responsible for acquiring, developing and increasing income from new and existing supporters through regular giving, appeals, campaigns, direct marketing initiatives and our established lottery. You will combine a target-driven approach with empathy and excellent stewardship, building strong, long-term relationships that support the hospice’s vital work.

You will line manage the Legacy and Philanthropy Fundraiser and the Supporter Care team, overseeing major donor relationships, Gifts in Wills promotion and administration, donation processing and the effective use of our CRM system. Working closely with the Director of Fundraising, you will also support the management and development of Weston Hospicecare’s mature lottery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all individual giving activity, reviewing, developing and delivering the Individual Giving Programme while analysing performance and maximising all income streams.
• Develop an annual programme of donor communications, collaborating with the Communications team to tailor approaches for different supporter audiences.
• Use insight and sector research to inform and strengthen fundraising approaches, ensuring the Individual Giving Programme is relevant, accessible and appealing to existing and new donors.
• Manage and develop our fundraising CRM system (Beacon), working with the Supporter Care team to ensure it supports income growth, stewardship and efficient administration.
• Represent Weston Hospicecare with donors and supporters, promoting the work of the hospice through positive and engaging conversations.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience working within a fundraising team and delivering against financial targets.
• Direct experience of individual giving, major donors, Gifts in Wills and/or lottery fundraising.
• Experience using CRM systems and analysing data.
• Experience of people management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of GDPR and data protection principles.
• A full driving licence or ability to travel independently across our catchment area (desirable).

Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust (YDMT) is seeking a driven and entrepreneurial professional to lead and grow our charity’s trading arm, YDMTCL. This is a newly created and exciting opportunity for someone with strong business development and leadership skills to build on the success of our Landscape Design team, while also originating and leading your own projects to strengthen commercial performance and impact.

About the role 

YDMTCL currently delivers landscape design services through a team of two Landscape Architects, working across urban, rural and community regeneration projects. The team combines strong technical expertise with creative design skills to deliver high quality green infrastructure and green space solutions.

The company currently has an annual turnover of under £100,000 and a clear ambition to double this over the next two to three years. The postholder will play a key role in driving this growth and will be expected to make significant progress towards this target during the 18 month contract period. All profits generated by YDMTCL are gifted back to the charity, directly supporting its charitable objectives.

This role will be primarily focused on the trading company, with approximately 90% of time dedicated to YDMTCL and up to 10% supporting the wider charity. You will originate and lead your own projects, creating vital new income streams for the organisation. Your work will focus on integrating ecology and landscape design to deliver innovative, high quality projects that contribute meaningfully to nature recovery.

The Role

As Senior Relationships Fundraiser you will manage a team of 3, including a Relationships Fundraiser (Individual Gifts), Relationship Fundraiser (Trusts and Major Donors) and a Fundraising Administrator.

You will report into the Fundraising Manager and be responsible for delivering income to target, in line with the fundraising strategy.

The main duties include:

• Work with the wider Income Generation and Marketing teams to develop a fundraising strategy, continually sharing insights, leads and opportunities to promote effective growth.
• Lead the development of income from trusts and foundations, major donors, regular givers, direct mail appeals, gifts in memory and gifts in wills.
• Hold regular, supportive 1:1 meetings and bi-annual performance reviews.
• Ensure all fundraising adheres to legislation and follows best practice.

The Person

We are looking for someone with proven experience in an income generation role. You will ideally have knowledge and understanding of donor motivations and high value fundraising principles. Experience in developing donor journeys, campaigns or funding proposals would also be desirable.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are vital in this role, along with the ability to coach and lead a small team. Previous management experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

You must be experienced working to targets, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting. As Senior Relationship Fundraiser you will inform key decisions, so the ability to analyse data to is essential.
