Supporting over 750 children and nearly 1,000 families annually, Acorns Children’s Hospice is a vital lifeline for families across the West Midlands and Gloucestershire during unimaginably difficult times.
Palliative care for children aged 0–18 is delivered at Acorns’ hospices in Birmingham, Worcester and Walsall, as well as in family homes and other community settings. Acorns’ holistic, tailored approach is designed to meet each child’s clinical, emotional, cultural, religious, and spiritual needs.
Trust and Foundation income is a cornerstone of Acorns’ fundraising strategy. Income is primarily unrestricted and multi-year – a reflection of the strong, long-standing relationships Acorns have built with funders.
We’re looking for an experienced Trusts fundraiser to provide maternity cover and hit the ground running. You’ll take on a robust pipeline and inherit relationships from a portfolio that includes multi-year partnerships with major funders such as Children in Need and John Martins. With a responsive Data team, access to strong stories, and excellent internal buy-in, this is a rare chance to build on solid foundations and deliver high-impact work.
As Fundraising Manager – Trusts and Foundations, you will:
- Take on a well-established portfolio of trusts and foundations with a combined value of c.£850K, delivering a mix of templated and bespoke applications
- Collaborate closely with an experienced peer Trusts Manager, sharing responsibility for monthly submissions and stewardship
- Maintain and build relationships with existing funders, ensuring excellent reporting and donor care
- Work cross-functionally with the Data, Marcomms, Finance, and Care teams to develop strong cases for support
- Support joint cultivation and engagement events alongside the Philanthropy team
To be successful in this role, we are seeking:
- Experience of personally securing mid to high 5-figure+ grants from trusts or foundations
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging across formats and word counts
- Stakeholder management skills
- Someone highly organised and efficient, who is able to manage a busy workload with autonomy
- A collaborative and supportive team player with a donor-centred approach
- Desirable but not essential: Health sector fundraising experience

Key duties
Major Donor Fundraising
• Successfully develop and implement the philanthropy strategy to secure and maximise funds from high value individuals for Action for ME achieving annual income of £250k+
• Set plans and budgets which will deliver income through major gift fundraising and philanthropic giving through family trusts and foundations, including quarterly forecasting.
• Manage a portfolio of prospects and donors at the £5k to £100k level, to develop and maintain strong and long-standing partnerships
• Work closely with the Director of Fundraising and Development and other colleagues to ensure that plans and activities for fundraising from high value individuals are integrated into the overall fundraising strategy and plan for significant growth.
• Be responsible for our Breakthrough-ME Group with high quality proposition development. Contribution to Group fundraising activities with a specific focus on ensuring their networks support pipeline growth for future fundraising.
• Lead the delivery of our biennial fundraising gala dinner, maximising income and new opportunities from attendees.
• Develop engaging and inspiring opportunities to steward and cultivate support creating a calendar of activities including events, presentations, approaches, networking and meetings.
• Utilise the CRM database (Raisers Edge) to provide the data required to strategise your approach to philanthropy, monitor progress and provide a high-quality donor experience.
• Ensure utilisation of insight & data, producing management information data to inform planning and strategy development.
• With the Director of Fundraising & Development, create inspiring cases for support and resulting propositions with clear budgets and outcomes.
• Create adequate systems and processes to support the major donor programme.
• Undertake and manage research into prospects and major donors, preparing for approaches and presentations and briefing senior leadership and trustees for donor meetings and events.
• Develop and maintain relationships with donors, a wide range of staff and volunteers from trustee level down.
• Provide regular feedback and internal reporting to line management.
• Work with other fundraisers to ensure that all fundraising opportunities and leads are followed up – particularly in corporate, community and trust fundraising.
• Work with Trustees, the Chief Executive and members of the Leadership Team to develop relationships with major donors.

The Role
What will I be doing?
- Managing a portfolio of public engagement events, including the delivery of the summer exhibition in Dublin each year and public engagement events across NI, Scotland and Wales
- Working with colleagues from across the organisation, particularly those in the Membership and National teams to support member led or member involved approaches to public engagement, with members supported and enabled to deliver appropriate activities that impactfully contribute to the IOP’s strategic goals.
- Support the development of public engagement content that demonstrates the value of physics and its applications to our lives and the full range of career and education pathways that can be accessed through doing physics
- Support the evaluation of Public Engagement Events to ensure the ongoing improvement pf our programme
Please note that this role will require significant travel around the UK and Ireland to deliver its remit. We particularly welcome applications from outside London and the South East of England with this in mind.

The postholder will develop and lead fundraising and partnerships, raising crucial funds to support MumsAid’s growth. We are looking for an experienced, versatile fundraiser who can hit the ground running, bring a holistic approach and work with a range of donors and funders to help MumsAid develop a sustainable income pipeline.
This role has strategic accountability for fundraising and managing funder relationships. You will lead our competitive tendering and grant application work, and develop our corporate partnerships.
This is a part-time post, flexible on location, although some travel within the UK may be required. The role will provide support at fundraising events, requiring some occasional evening and weekend commitments (for which time in lieu will be granted).
Main Duties
Leadership and Management:
· Work alongside the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Board (particularly the Fundraising and Marketing Subgroup) to proactively identify potential sources of funding and realise opportunities for growth.
· Devise and develop appropriate strategies, produce and deliver strong proposals and pitches.
· Provide knowledge of current fundraising practice and develop a consistent working strategy that is sustainable.
· Assist in informing long-term financial/business planning and clarifying priorities.
· Support the SLT and Board in developing a comprehensive framework for reporting on the charity’s impact, including to funders.
Oversee and support monitoring submissions.
Fundraising:
· Develop, implement and evaluate a fundraising strategy in line with MumsAid’s priorities, to include key areas of focus – fundraising from trusts and foundations, statutory fundraising, corporate fundraising, to secure c. £500k over the next 2 years.
· Research, formulate and write applications, bids and tenders, including to statutory funders and trusts and foundations, coordinating with other team members for input as necessary.
· Build strong relationships with existing and potential funders, partners and stakeholders.
· Write reports for funders to meet deadlines and submit further applications for existing funders where appropriate.
· Work with the SLT and Board to develop and maintain strong relationships with commissioners, funders, partners and corporate organisations to ensure good communication about organisational/project progress, address any issues that arise, and identify new income streams.
Organisational and General Duties:
· Maximise fundraising efficiency by using and developing our CRM to ensure there is a clear process for recording and managing fundraising activity.
· Contribute to the financial planning, budgeting and management accounts process.
· Contribute to the development of MumsAid’s understanding and communication of our Return on Investment (ROI).
· Report regularly on KPIs, monitoring and evaluating against social impact and ROI.
· Develop and manage a reporting schedule for the Board and funders to ensure monitoring and reporting is in done in an effective manner in line with organisational priorities, tracking restricted and unrestricted income, project development and targets.
· Maintain awareness of fundraising and charity law and ensure that activity adheres to relevant legislation and guidance.
Communications and Marketing:

The Philharmonia Orchestra is seeking an organised, analytical and proactive Development Research and Operations Manager (DROM) to support the growth in fundraising activity of a busy and ambitious orchestra. The post-holder will deliver high-quality philanthropic research, pipeline and CRM management, the creation of donor briefings for individual, corporate and trust supporters, and horizon scanning for new and future opportunities.
As the department’s research and CRM lead, the DROM will generate prospect research on those suggested by senior volunteers (Board, Development Board etc.) and those identified in our database, Tessitura. They will support fundraisers across giving streams to create engagement and cultivation plans, and act as the pipeline management champion for the team. The DROM will support fundraisers to ensure activity and contacts is logged consistently, working closely with the Head of Development to monitor KPIs, track and record income and maintain accurate donor and donation records.
This position is central to ensuring that frontline fundraisers can focus on income generation, supported by robust operational processes, accurate data, and high-quality research.

Job Description
This is a new role, joining a small and growing fundraising team. The purpose of this Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Manager role is to grow LMK’s income generation from Charitable Trusts and Foundations, to support delivery of LMK’s mission.
The role is a true combination of independent and collaborative working. Independent in the writing of bespoke funding applications and reports, maintaining accurate records on LMK’s CRM, and researching to continually build LMK’s pipeline of Trusts & Foundation prospects.
And collaborative in the close working with LMK’s core team to monitor and report on restricted grants, and working together with the wider fundraising team on creative projects such as: maintaining an updated library of cases for support, implementation of fresh and creative stewardship strategies that bring LMK supporters closer to our work, and cultivation strategies that engage supporters to whom LMK is brand new.
The role requires strong relationship building skills, which will be drawn upon in your direct working with Trust & Foundation supporters and internally with LMK colleagues.
Key Responsibilities

Writing bespoke funding applications: you will be responsible for maintaining a regular pipeline of applications, writing and submitting proposals to new and existing Trust & Foundation supporters, including six-figure and multi-year grants, working to targets for both income generated and outputs (e.g. number of proposals per month).

Grant reporting: using LMK’s CRM system and working collaboratively with the core team to produce high quality, timely reports for both restricted and unrestricted grants.

Person Specification

Proven experience of leading on Trust & Foundation applications generating high 5-figure and multi-year grants.

At least 3 years’ experience in successfully delivering and/or supporting a grant fundraising programme, including demonstrable experience of working to targets and managing multiple deadlines, and understanding the trust & foundations fundraising landscape.

Job Description Summary
The Funding and Development Manager plays a key role at DPI, working to ensure that income meets the organisation’s needs, and in support of achieving the strategic objectives through the development and management of fundraising and donor relations.
The Funding and Development Manager is responsible for identifying and pursuing diverse funding streams; writing applications, reporting back and progress letters to meet existing and future funders’ guidelines; monitoring the implementation of projects to ensure funders’ guidelines are met; and liaising with funders and other stakeholders. The Funding and Development Manager works closely with the Finance Officer to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to donors.
They will also collaborate with Programmes Officers with regards to expenditure across budget lines to ensure compliance with grant contracts and grants periods. The Funding and Development Manager assists the Finance Manager with audit preparations of accounts at the end of the financial year and ensures the timely drafting of the Trustee report.
The Funding and Development Manager works closely with the Chief Executive Officer, the Finance Manager in the preparation and presentation of the annual organisational budget.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising and Grants Administration
- Leads the development and delivery of short, medium and long-term fundraising strategies for DPI
• Identifies and nurtures the successful implementation of appropriate grant funding and contracting
• Researches and assesses DPI’s eligibility in line with DPI strategy and donor criteria
• Produces and submits grants proposals, expressions of interest and donor reports
• Oversees compliance with funding requirement to ensure that deadlines and criteria for donor reporting are met, including financial reporting in close collaboration with the Finance Manager
Donor Relations
- Manages and develops external relationships as a representative of DPI, attending meetings and public events where necessary
• Follows up with potential donors to open up new funding opportunities
• Conducts regular updates with current donors to maintain and strengthen relationships
• Prepares and oversees the dissemination of external materials such as the Quarterly Update and Trustee Report to all relevant contacts
• Prepares background information ahead of DPI meetings with donors and prospective donors
• Oversees donor communication history, ensuring that notes and information are logged and shared accordingly
Project Development and Monitoring and Evaluation
- Leads process and system improvements/developments to ensure that all DPI material shared externally is of good quality, in line with the strategy and structure of the organisation
• Reviews all programme activities in line with the external environment and donor requirements to ensure sustainability and identify growth opportunities
• Assists the CEO and Programmes team to develop organisational work plan to ensure that all activities and research comply with grant applications and donor obligation
• Develops M&E and risk assessment frameworks to carry out monitoring and evaluation of activities to measure outcomes and the impact in relation to our strategic aims, and acting to make improvements if required
• Establishes close working relationships and develop efficient systems with key individuals in the programmes, research and finance functions, to access knowledge and information needed for funding propositions and reporting
• Maintains close collaboration with DPI staff to ensure sound project management, including by ensuring regular M&E meetings with programmes team are conducted to ensure that donor requirements and output standards are met
Financial Management
- Helps to develop and implement the organisation’s financial planning, budgeting and reporting processes along with the Finance Manager and the CEO
• Collaborates with Programmes Officers with regards to the allocation of expenditure across budget lines and donors, to ensure compliance with grant contracts.
• Assists the Finance Manager in their work on audit preparations of accounts at the end of the financial year, and ensures the timely drafting of the Trustee report
• Works closely with the Chief Executive Officer, the Finance Manager in the preparation and presentation of the annual organisational budget.
• Ensures that the Chief Executive Officer, and all members of staff, are kept aware of their obligations and opportunities in relation to donors
Administrative Tasks
- Maintains an accurate record of donor information
• Ensures an effective and clean S-drive structure for files relating to grants and fundraising, including financial reports
Person Specification
Essential
• The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience in grant administration, ideally with a focus on governmental and intergovernmental funding with strong numerical skills and some budgeting experience.
• A sound and current knowledge of funding streams via the UK, EU and UN or similar.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including evidence of structured thinking and the ability to inspire confidence and enthusiasm in others
• Self-starter with the ability to initiate projects and see them through to successful completion
• Ability to work independently, but also as part of a small team, on different projects
• Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines

Unlike many cathedrals, St Albans had no historical endowment to support its music. The Music Trust was established in 1995 to ensure a thriving and financially stable musical life at the Cathedral. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all the fundraising activities of SBS, including management of the fundraising team.

- Keep up to date and ensure SBS complies with fundraising legislation, standards and best practice including GDPR and PECR.

About you
